[Resolved]  ABP Private Limited — Renewal of subsciption not activated

This is to bring to your notice that I, Samiran Ganguly had renewed my subscription for The Telegraph and Anandabazar Patrika, and had paid a cheque to this effect of Rs 775. The cheque number is 323684, dated October 25th 2009, drawn from State Bank of India (Kalindi Branch). The cheque was encashed on November 19th 2009. But I have not received the subscription coupons till date- January 2nd 2010. There is no response to the email sent to the customer-care email address- sub.[protected]@abp.in . Repeated phone calls to the customer care helpline number - [protected] - yielded no response. After fifteen tries I finally got through to one of the customer care executives who informed me that the coupons had been sent by courier to my residential address but since there was no one to collect the mail the coupons had been returned to their office. Both my wife and I are in service and my daughter is a student, so on a week day no one stays at home. The courier service man might have come to my residence but he left unannounced, without leaving behind any intimation for me, to go and collect the mail from their office. The customer care executive promised to send my coupons again on January 1st 2010, but I have not got the coupons yet. I have tried calling up the helpline number innumerable times, but to no avail. Can I expect any redressal?

Dear Sir,
it is to inform you that I Dr. Pintu Sasmal subscribed for Anandabazar Patrika & Telegraph for 6 month & for the same issued a cheque of Rs.788/- drawn on SBI Nimta Belgharia branch on 19.09.2011. But till now I have not received any coupon. On contacting the customer care they replied that the coupons have been delivered and received on 5th Novenmer. But neither me, nor any of my family members have received it. Therefore, I request you to kindly look into the matter and take necessary steps immediately, so that I can get the coupon and handover the same to the vendor as per norms.

I would like to inform you that because of misguidance from your Agent and staffs I am not getting my Telegraph newspaper.

Please go through the recorded conversation in your database with the Party # 512961 from 09/12/2011, and you will find that I have been misguided several times by your staff.

• I applied your Renewal Form and send it on 3/11/11 along with cheque as per norms.
• First your agent called me around 30/11/11 and said issue a new cheque to get the subscription because it may happen that ABP had not received the cheque or the cheque may be missed.
• I issued a fresh cheque and handed over to your agent on 3/12/11 by stopping the cheque deposited by me earlier.
• Your agent came on 9/12/11 saying I cannot do anything
• Then I called your office and got the information on 9/12/11 that send another cheque and then the subscription will continue from 16/12/11 & I sent the cheque and filled up the renewal form in Barik Bhawan, Kolkata.
• On 15/12/11 I called up and asked to call up again in next week.
• On 16/12/11 I talked to Rumpa and she gave me the information detail which is a total mess.

Please take an action and do something so that I can get my issue at the earliest.

Respected sir,
I am Md Sirajul Haque from Hatiara Methopara kol-59, from last 19th Jan I am not getting my daily newspaper and the cupons.Despite of complaining to the A.B.P helpline i am not getting any advantages for one month.On 13th Feb I am told from the helpline that I'll get the cupon and the paper from 15th Feb.But it didn't happened.When I again complained to the helpline on 19th Feb they told me that I have recieved the coupons on 2nd Feb.but that is not true any more, I had not recieved anything from A, B.P.I am astonoished that an authority like Ananda Bazar Patrika is so careless on there old customers.It is requested to you to cancel my subscription and refund my money.

Sub:- Non Receipt of Coupon after renewal of Subscription

Respected Sir,
This is to inform you that I have sent a cheque of Rs 530 along with the application for renewal of my subscription on 4th May 2012. A few days later I was informed that the cheque has been received and I will receive the coupons by 9th of June. On 9th I telephoned to your helpline number and the reply I received from them is that it has gone to courier’s office on 2nd and I will receive the coupon within 4 days. I did not receive till 13th. So after much try I could able to contact ur helpline and they said they will inform the concern dept and I will get immediately. On 15th I again tried to contact helpline but unable to contact ur executive as all of them are busy . I was in the line for more than 5 mts and after that the line get disconnected. Then I called on another number 22345374. Luckily some one replied and told me that I will get a call within 24 hours. But, Sir till now I have not received a call. I tried to again contact your helpline but could not go beyond the IVRS as no executive lifted the phone
Now Sir, I am thinking myself as a fool in trying to renew the subscription. Daily I have to make 3-4 calls but none of them, are answered.

I am a regular reader of Ananda Bazar and Telegraph paper for the last five years continuously. My last subscription period was over on 15.07.2012. Again I have renewed the same for another six months against payment of Rs.852/- and received the coupons. The coupons are effective from 01.08.2012 to 31.01.2013. Today on 19.08.2012, My vendor asked for coupon. In reply I explained to my vendor that I will give you the 1st coupon on 01.09.2012 for the month of August, 2012. The balance period i.e. from 16.07.2012 to 31.07.2012, I said will be paid to you in cash at the full cover price. I also showed the coupons that I had to the vendor. But he behaved to me in an extremely bad manner even shouting to me a lot and said I will not give you any paper from tomorrow i.e. from 20.08.2012. But what about my 06 coupons that I had purchased from ABP against payment of Rs.852/-. On 19.08.2012 this was already informed to ABP on your telephone number[protected] at morning 8.34 am line was held and cut. Again at 8.36 am I talked more than 04 minutes and lodged a complaint to some lady (Name not known), she said she would forward my complaint immediately. On 19.08.2012 again at 1.03 pm I talked more than 07 minutes with Ms. Ipsita and asked the lady about the status of the complaint that I had lodged today at 8.36 am but she said after searching the records that there was no record of complaint lodged by me at 8.36 a.m., after that I was totally surprised. I again lodged the complain to her and she said that she would forward my complaint immediately. Total records of phone calls to ABP have been kept on my mobile. Please sort out the problem immediately as I have already paid an amount of Rs.852/- to ABP. Please note that, I sri Biswajit Dutta a subscriber ( Customer id : 2437653) of Ananda Bazar & The Telegraph for 01-Apr - 2012 to[protected], My contract no is 2842093, My vendor is SIBAPRASAD DEY of Airport centre, very sorry to say that, My paper delivery service is so much poor, (i, e very much discontinued service), i have complained to ABP for look this matter, after complaining that, only 7 days the vendor give me proper service, but after few days the service is as al as same. i am very much dissatisfied regarding abp subscription. ABP does not take any steps regarding Airport areas vendor service. ultimately customer will suffering the problem, Therefore I request you to kindly look into the matter & takecare immediately.
