[Resolved]  Aircel — Automatic Activation of VAS through OBD

Hi,
on 27/2/2010 i got a call from aircel advertising about Cricket Voice Pack on hearing this i immediately cancelled the call without pressing any numerics like 0,2 etc(Which they use for activating the service).But after some 8 hrs i got a message saying ur request for Cricket Voice Pack has been activated. As per this plan i will be charged Rs.5/- for every india match by which i can hear the live commentary as if i don't have TV facilities or i am in older age.

When i gave complaint to the CC,the CC executive cooly saying whatever the case may be the service is activated by you only no chance of refunding and deactivating the service eventhough i go for giving complaint.

I have not even attended the call more than 5 secs within these secs the aircel was brilliant enough to guess that i will activate and they automatically activated the service.

I have spoken to many officers and CC the only reply i am getting without any change is the "The service activated based on customer request send to activate".


I am expecting some resolution through this website..

The CC is quite right when he says that “the service activated based on customer request send to activate". Actually these are automated services and there should be an authorisation from the customer. The promotional calls and messages can be the reason for that when responded, in order to avoid such in future get your DND service activated.
this evening i received a publicity message from aircel . i simly opened the message and closed the same. the next moment another message came declaring that i have successfully subscribed to daily jokes service. this is absolutely unfair on the part of aircel. now iwant to come out of this what can i do

This is same BULL$#%$ policy of AIRCEL, same thing happened with me, and daily I am getting 3-4 automatic computer calls, and I just disconnect them, and then one day I realised that without my notice my balance is getting deducted. I had around 200 Rs balance. And then when called to customer care found out that through their advertisement computer calls I had activated GOod Morning, Sweet Dreams, and the Cricket Pack. This is sheer nonsense. Inspite of disconnecting the call I have been charged really bad, now thinking of changing over to some other good service provider. Already inspite of registering in DND daily I am getting 3-4 automatic computer calls. Can someone please help me.

I'm Mohammad Naushad from Bangalore facing problems with aircel network since from the activation(one year) of the Sim my number is [protected] & my alternate number is [protected] every time there will be no network in my place not even one single network point on my number

whenever i use to call customer care they will reply me the same "our team is in working with network" so kindly consider my need
