It is not a single case. I think, almost all customers face this issue. Think, how much money a service provider can loot if they follows it as a policy to
every customer. Their advantage is the lack of an effective complaint mechanism. I posted in this forum 11 days ago. I got some soothing reply from airtel customer care. But no action taken. Everyday you can see a complaint against AIRTEL prepaid deducting balance unlawfully. See my complaints.

AirTel — BALANCE DEDUCTED WITHOUT USING SERVICE
I HAVE AIRTEL MOBILE NO [protected] AND USING NOKIA E63 MOBILE. I HAD TAKEN AIRTEL 98/- VOUCHER FOR NET USING. IT GIVES UPTO 2 GB DATA DOWNLOADING FREE BUT WITHOUT ANY DOWNLOADING AND SUFFERING IT HAS CONTINOUSLY DEDUCTING MY AMT FROM MY MAIN A/C. I HAVE CONTINUESLY MAIL TO HIS CUSTOMER SUPPORT BUT NOT RECD ANY MAIL OR REVERT FROM HIM. I ALSO CONTECTED THEIR CALL CENTER BUT WHEN MY PHONE CONNECTED TO CUSTOMER CARE EXC., AUTOMATICALLY DISCONNECTED BY THEM. ITS NOT ONE TIME ALWAYS THEY DID. I TRIED THEIR NUMBER SINCE LAST 4 DAYS.PREM SINGH KHALSA
