[Resolved]  Airtel — incoming calls barred

My airtel prepaid mobile number is [protected]. The incoming call facility to my number has been barred since monday(27/9/10). I had already submitted my documents on thursday(23/9/10).

I've already visited the airtel customer care centre in sheshadripuram 6 times until the time of this complaint and made umpteen calls to 198 and 121. The only change is a sufficient reduction in my balance.

None of the executives provided a solution to the problem. Each call or visit ended with my documents being verified .

I was asked to call #330*0000# from my mobile to reset the call barring code, but it didn't work.

Why is it so difficult for airtel to solve this problem? And why cant i get a proper solution at your customer care outlets?

I would appreciate a quick solution and a refund on the amount i've spent on calls to 192 & 121.
i sincerely hope you would do the same at the earliest. Else i would definitely consider changing my service provider.

No, the problem hasn't been resolved. My mobile number is listed in the complaint. U can contact me on that once the problem is sorted out.
My mobile number [protected].Recently i lost my sim and i requested airtel to block it. I now got a duplicate sim and when i called customer care to unblock it , they gave 2 codes which are not working. i can't even call the executives now. when i call to 121 its not connecting to customer executive.

I am an user of Airtel mobile. My mobile number is [protected]. I moved from A.P circle to Karnataka and hence I am on roaming.
But 99% of all incoming calls from Andhra Pradesh are barred. Very rarely I get any call from Andhra Pradesh. Similarly, whenever I am on roaming in other states, the same thing happened, I brought it to the notice of customer care but nothing has happened.
Similarly, my wife[protected] is also facing the same problem from Airtel. In spite of charging Rs.1/- per minute or part thereof, it is strange that the incoming calls are not allowed. Whenever people try to contact me, they get one of the following replies:
"Verify the number you are calling"
"No mobile exists with this number"
I most cases, no contact could be made. Rarely if I get a contact, it is immediately terminated and I am charged Rs.1/-
I am planning to move to another service provider if there in no change in the attitude of Airtel.
same issue airtel sim card... i thot airtel provides excellent service, they suck... i have called them sevem times, they have idea about d problem... train sucks
