[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband And Landline — harassment for payment in spite of the money given

This is to bring to your notice the harassment being meted out to me and my family from Airtel.
I have an Airtel broadband connection at home . On the 19th of September 2009,a man named Kamaldas who was from SERCO BPO PVT LTD Begumpet, came for collection of the bill amount which was Rs.1524/- .Since neither o[censored]s had change I paid him Rs.1500/- for which I got a receipt too. Number of the receipt is SBIOHYD[protected].

After 3 days I got a call that my bill payment was not done .I gave them all the details and they got back to me saying my account reflects a payment of Rs.1200/- instead of Rs.1500.And hence I was required to pay Rs.324/-. Again I gave them details. The customer care executive took down a complaint and said action would be taken.

After this began a series of phone calls from Airtel asking me for payment of Rs.324/-.Whether I was driving or in the midst of a meeting I was asked again and again for the receipt number when I had already provided them with the number of the collection agency representative, the receipt number etc. Again a complaint was taken down.

Rs.324/-seemed to haunt me as this still did not stop calls from Airtel.

Finally I called the person who had collected the money .He too said he had collected only Rs.1200/- On showing the receipt he admitted an error and promised he would rectify the same. After an hour he called saying the error was on their part and was rectified. I also got another call from Airtel customer care saying the amount paid was rectified and they were sorry for the error

Another day went by and again I got a call asking me for a payment of Rs 324/-.This inefficiency and irresponsible attitude of AIRTEL has caused be tremendous pain.

Since then till about 10 days ago this became a routine for me and finally they disconnected my broadband and the linked landline. I called up customer care and again went through the pain of explaining the entire story .The customer care executive as usual said "we are sorry for the inconvenience and will take down a complaint ".At this point in time I requested them to activate my landline as I have a ten year old daughter who is unwell and at home. Since both me and my husband work, we are worried about her at home and call her at regular intervals to find out how she is doing.

In spite of this they did not unblock the services. For a week, I used to call up my neighbors or housekeeping staff in the building to find out how my daughter was. I again got in touch with Kamaldas who said he was no longer in the services of the collection agency and could not do anything about it. He gave me the number of a Mr. Deepak who was their team leader and said he would be able to help me. Guess what Mr. Deepak has also resigned and was also shockingly rude saying what can he do for this error.

It is been 10 days since they have blocked the use of our broadband and landline and in spite of various calls no action has been taken. The last service request number given to me by Airtel is 25449812 given on the 15th of October.

I am in fact discontinuing Airtel services and switching to an alternate service provider.
Let me also tell you something else. I still get at least 2 calls from Airtel everyday.

Airtel — Stopped Phone services in spite Bill Payment

I have a post paid connection No. [protected] A/c No.[protected] in the name of my sister Sheemul Bipin Gupta. Bill Plan 299

I had gone to U.S on 22/07/2008 and I had given specific instructions to close my account, so that I need not pay the bill till I return.

Meanwhile I paid the bill of Rs. 458.00 by Ch. No. 335152 dtd 27.07.08 drawn on Canara Bank, Karvenagar, Pune for the period 17.06.08 to 16.07.08, Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.07.2008.

Later on, I was again issued a Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.08.2008 for the period 17.07.08 to 16.08.08 of Rs.364.98 which I did not pay since I had already given the specific instructions to stop the call services till I return from U.S.

Again, I was issued a Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.09.2008 for the period 17.08.08 to 16.09.08 of Rs.414.05 + Previous balance Rs.364.98 totaling to Rs.779.03 which I did not pay. I made several requests at your Pune office not to charge, since I have given the instructions, still they charged me.

Once again, I was issued a Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.10.2008 for the period 17.09.08 to 16.10.08 of Rs.367.50 + Previous balance Rs.779.03 less adjustments totaling to Rs.786.08.

I paid the entire amount on 22.10.2008 by Credit Card at Vega Communication shop, Tilak Road, 1578 Tilak Apts, Pune vide Receipt No.[protected] dtd 22.10.2008 of Rs.786.00.

Even after the payment was made, till today the phone is not working. I spoke at Bombay office and they are saying that "they do not need any customers, you can change the company".

This is the worst service Airtel is giving.

If no action is taken by the company, then I would be forced to go to Consumer grievances forum

Airtel Broadband — No Broadband installation, in spite of payment 10 days back

Dear Sir,

I applied for a new broadband connection in Greater Kailash 1, New Delhi. I paid up the installation charges, Rec No. 778686 on 25th August 2009. I have not received any calls for installation. The person who came for payments does not even bother to pick up my calls.

Can you please tell me what should I be doing regarding this?

I have the same problem. I applied for the connection on 29th August, 2009 and paid the installation amount of Rs.500. I was promised connection the next day and in the worst case by 31st of August. However, till date, no connection has been provided. I have called up the person concerned multiple times and every day there is a standard reply that it would be installed the next day and they would call me back but no one has bothered to call back. From past 2 days even that number is either switched off or is not reachable.

Kindly let me know where I can lodge a complaint for this.

AirTel / Landline Phone with Broadband connection — I have not been getting connection after paying money

We had applied for a Landline + Broadband connection to M/s. AirTel limited on 11 Nov. 2009 and provied all the documents which they required also we gave a cheque of Rs. 3100.00 ( Rs. Three Thousand One Hundred ) as an advance against their services for six month. AirTel representative Mr. Kamlesh Kushwaha assured that they provide connection within 3-to 4 days. but till date we have not been getting services from airtel for which we have paid money. we asked several times from their represntative but they have not been replying exactly.

Airtel landline connection with broadband — Harrasment over disconnection

I had a landline connection with broadband facility from Airtel.The phone line was disconnected in the month of Feb-11 owing to some issue of Airtel with BSES(probably BSES people had uprooted their junction boxes installed on the BSES poles).Airtel people assured me that the problem will be rectified within 2 weeks time,but nothing was done to rectify the problem.I was assured that company would not be charging for the time period till the problem persists.Now company has raised a bill for April-May period & are pressurising me to pay for the billed period.I have made numerous calls to there customer care asking them to disconnect the line as I am not interested in keeping the same.Each time they give a request no with the words-"Your line will be disconnected in the next 7 working days".God knows how long those 7 working days are & when will they be over.I am using Airtel's mobile phone service,but looking in to the handling of this matter,which is really disappointing,I will have to rethink about that also.If this harrasment of making calls on my mobile & sending SMSes does not stop I will be left with no option other than the lagal course for redressal of this matter.

Airtel — Harassment call from from Airtel for Broadband bill payment

Could you please help me to get rid of from false bill payment call.

Issue as follows:
1> I requested to transfer my broadband connection on 19 th Feb 2011 with immediate effect as I was getting shifted to new location.

2> On 24 th Feb outgoing call from my phone has been stopped and it was informed to me that new location does not have Airtel service, hence my connection will be disconnected.

3> 1st March my broadband connection disconnected and on the same day I paid the pending bill of February and I shifted to my new address.

4> on April again I received call to pay the bill of March, and they informed me it was the bill the for last few days before connection got disconnected.

5> One person from Airtel collectioin dipt came to my new address and collected the bill amount.

6> On May again I received a call for the payment of April month bill, Its keeps gong till date.

Today again I received a call fro saying 2800/- is pending,
