[Resolved] Airtel Broadband — I am being harassed for being a airtel broadband customer | |||
I had taken an airtel broadband connection as there was already an airtel DTH at my place in Kandivalu East, Thakur village. Due to certain commitments I had to move out of mumbai for 3-4 months, hence I asked the airtel customer care if I can discontinue the broadband connection temporarily. To my surprise they said that if you only discontinue the number temporarily & want to retain the number you will have to pay Rs.400 monthly, which I found ridiculous & decided to disconnect the connection. As a result I wrote a mail to [protected]@in.airtel.com on the 14th of July 2011 to discontinue the service for my number which was [protected]. To my surprise, I started receiving calls asking me to continue this, transfer this to some friend, keep this, why I want to discontinue this etc etc, to all these calls my answer was that I have made up my mind & I dont want to keep this. I also cleared my dues on the 23rd of july 2011 through an online payment. Suddenly now I am receiving threatening calls that there is payment which is due , they are telling me to hire a lawyer etc. I dont know how this company works or how they treat their consumers, why should I pay for the period during which you guys were postponing the disconnection of the number. Mr. Mittal or Mr. Kapoor as legitimate business men , I am sure you will treat this strictly & take action against your employees who are harassing customers like this. Hoping for a prompt action.
