I have made two payments to airtel on nov2011 2000+2000 when my total due was 4500 rs.
By December 12 my broadband and land line got barred saying non payment i checked the bill and found that it is printed as,
23 nov Payment received by card 2000
23 nov payment received by cash 2000
2nd dec payment reversal cash 2000 ( i foundmit funny in two ways since it is impossible to reverse a cash payment after 2 weeks and i haven't made any cash payments)
Because of the reversal i checked the bank statements and i haven't received any reversal.
So i called the customer care and explained all of it for about 15 mins and they activated Internet connection it got barred again after teo days i called the customer care activates barres... It happened many times. And airtel has charged me rent for dec and jan though my land-line was barred and broadband was randomly working. As of today my total due is around 7k ( which is still missing my 2000 rs payment.
As a customer all i could do was sent the receipt copies and bank statements as per Airtel requested and airtel never even bothered to call me back to resolve this issue till march 2012 and Airtel issued me a legal notice too for non payment on march 2012.
Now i get call backs from airtel regularly with the reply "your payment is showing as cash laument revereed" and after explaining everything they want me to resent all the receipts again.
I tried emailing them, which was also useless since i always get reply saying will get back to i. 6 days or some stupid reply like" we haven't received your online payment you sould pay from airtel.in website"

Airtel India — Non updation of online payment
I made an online payment to pay my monthly bill till 4th of July. Online transaction was done through HDFC Bank netbanking facility. Amount of 2814.22 Rs has been debited from my account but not updated in Airtel's records. I sent email to [protected]@airtelindia.com regarding this. They asked for statement proof which I provided in form of screen print through email. Now they are asking for a scanned copy of the same. This is absolute harrassment for a customer. Despite of paying the bill I am being asked for n number of documents again and again rather than resolving the issue. Request your help.
