For the past 3 months I am fighting with AIRTEL for charging me by cheating for internet usage. Below is the mail trail to AIRTEL. Their executive has made a mistake in entering the scheme for internet usage for which AIRTEL is billing me. When i pointed it out the first time, AIRTEL reversed the charges accepting the fact the scheme was indeed in force. But the next time ie now, AIRTEL has first refused to accept its executives mistake (I have given transaction ID, executive name and time of conversation and sate details) and moreover barred my outgoing in an effort to arm-twist me into paying their cheating charges. I REFUSE. can any one help???

Corruption and "dadagiri" we Indians have to face every day in our lives.......

How many unsuspecting customers are fleeced by AIRTEL every day this way?

I have again rechecked my previous bill. The ridiculous and unacceptable
charges for internet usage is for the period - one day only - 5th June.

And that is exactly why i am disputing the charges as my scheme for 98/- GPRS
was SUPPOSED to be active all the while - who has authorized for the pack to be
deactivated? why was the pack deactivated? I am 100% sure that i had on NO
OCCASION deactivated the pack, it is a blatant mistake from some Airtel
operation guy - why am i to pay for your careless attitudes and apathy? If you
have made a mistake from your end - accept it and reverse the charges
immediately.

There is no point in pushing me any further to pay for the mistake your team
has committed.

Hope this is amply clear to you.

Guess someone authoritative and honest person in Airtel need to intervene and
resol

What you are refusing to accept is that I am not BEGGING for these piecemeal discounts..its not the money that matters - I refuse to accept to be cheated! Your discount of 164/- earlier and 250/- now is of no meaning to me, rather its an insult and I see it as a tactic to digress from the main topic of dispute.

As stated in your reply, GPRS FOC @ 30p / 20Kb has been charged on he 5th June wherein 2 GB GPRS Free was activated earlier and was to be in CONTINUOUS FORCE.

MY question is - WHO DEACTIVATED THIS SCHEME without my consent???
WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR THE MISCHIEF / ERROR OF AN AIRTEL EMPLOYEE wh disconnects and reactivatess my account.

Moreover, what you guys are typing or doing at the isolated call centres is not known to me - the customer. How can I be charged and expected to pay you with the outcome of such an event???

Any such changes which wil effect the billing or service of a custometr MUST ONLY BE ACCEPTED on SMS or written email. I and led to distrust your call centre execs who seem to be dishonest and scheming and hence REFUSE to pay for the error on your part.

Dear Airtel,

After much persuation over the phone ( through 888 at your airtel Realtion centre at Vashi) I have got the details of what was supposed to be YOUR JOB - found the culprit for my dispute.

Interaction No[protected], exec Ganesh Ashok on 27th April 2011 at 5.44 pm. On this occassion I has specifically asked for the 98/- scheme to be activated but the at AIRTEL had activated the 0 rental scheme. Or maybe he is so instructed by Airtel bosses to increase billing o[censored]nsuspecting customers........

Nevertheless, I was billed for Rs.962.70 in my bill dated 03-Jun-2011. This bill reached me on the email on 6th June-2011. when I had raised a dispute on this amount, a cancellation of the charges was promptly done. On this occasion also, I had demanded that the 98/- scheme remain activated, which is shown in YOUR RECORDS as being activated fromthat day onwards.

However on June 5th I was again charged for the internet usage under 0 rental scheme. When I again raised the dispute, i was offered discounts of 164/- and then 250/- to pacify the irate customer.

Further, in a show of complete insensitivity and utter arm-twisting attitude, my outgoing has been barred. What prompt your guys at AIRTEL to think that you can very well cheat a customer and then force him to pay the unreasonable amount as per your whims and fancies???

In my 4 years with Airtel al my bills are paid well before the due date. Now this unresolved dispute is a very annoying experience. either i get a justified resolution immediately, or I am seriously considering porting the number to another - more sane - operator.Currently I have discontinued the internet 98/- package yesterday through an SMS.

Your early decision is awaited.

its now 2 days from my last complain............ while i am assured of an reply withing 24 hrs - this time airtel is conspicuously quite....

ALSO - how can you stop my outgoing while a bill is in dispute???? and not resolved by your team? Second, how can the case be CLOSED by your executive while I am still writing to you abt the same complaint. Can you guys just act on your fanciful whims and harass the customer? Do you people really think that we will not take this matter to law and consumer courts due to your arrogant behaviour?

have some common sense to resolve the mater when its clear that its your executives fault. Take whatever action against the error, why should the customer suffer?

This customer REFUSES to be cheated by your system. And I will also discontinue your services. Moreover this case will be taken to the PRESS also with a record of all these email and telephonic conversations as evidence.

Please note you have only 48 hrs to redeem your respect.

    Airtel a big cheater company I recharge my airtel no. with 3G data pack of in which I get 2GB data,for starting 3 to 4 days it works fine but after that they deduct balance from my main account they sweep my whole balance and my internet stop working. I complaint this issue to C.Care they told me that problem is resolved and as you have 0 balance in your account so intenet is not working.I again recharged my account with 50 rs and they again sweep my whole balance,I tried called C.Care but C.Care is blocked.I still have 2030MB data left in my account whicg is valid till 21st september I become so frustated that I switched off that number [protected].

    Hi,
    Thanks for concerning my complaint regarding to airtlel number [protected], I have got call from your C.Care and they credit 60rs in my account and advised me to use internet again but they didn't resolve the root cause as my balance is still deducting and I lost more than 30rs from the credited balance.As your C.Care told me give follow up on Monday but I didn't receive any call on Monday.Now I think it just a formality from your side or your complaint tracking system is worst.

        Dear Sir,

        My Airtel mobile # [protected] is working as pre-paid card, on 24th Aug'11 I got a call from Airtel gallery (Shape INN Marketing) from Malad, Mumbai to trasfer from pre-paid to post paid, which I agreed to and on the same day they have taken 300 INR as deposit for transfer and said that service will be activated in 24hrs time. But when I got a call from Airtel for verification of address proof, what they have explain me about the Plan was completely different from what people from Malad Air tel Gallery have explained to me... below are the disputes

        1.My postpaid connection will be activated within 24hrs but till date which the same has not been activated.
        2.I would get 350 SMS free with rental of 199 INR but Airtel people told me it's only 200 SMS
        3. One mobile no will be free to me provided that number should be of Airtel with post paid connnection but people who called for verification told me that the person on who's number to be made free need to have the same plan which I wil have.

        I have a postpiad number ported from vodafone to airtel. Its been 10 years for me to continue same number. But since 8 months i have been complaining regularly about my network issues i am facing with my connection. 3g service is been worse than 2g. I cannot sit in my home and receive calls nor can surf internet freely. Been complaining monthly but engineers have been responding to airtel as query resolved. There has been same repeated sentence used for running away from problems such as topography geographical location. And even asking to refund for data service the executive as just playing on. Now my bills has been 3800/- app. I went to gallery i was informed to pay 2 bils amount 2900/- inr app. I paid and was informed services will resume in 4 hours when i called up intially customer care i was told service will resume in 2 hour later i wss told to wait 2 hours then again 2 hours alter i was told i have to pay the total oustanding or they would not activate the number. Why i was told by executive to pay specific amount and how come the customer care can reply in diffrent manner. I need to file legal law suit against airtel i need guidance for the same and also i want media to come in as already goverment is piling loads of problems on common man no place to gets problems resolved so please i need my query resolved or airtel penalised if there is law in this country alive

          I had requested for porting two of my numbers from Airtel to Aircel. The reason for porting is that Airtel has been adding unnecessary packages on my phones which were not asked for. There was an amazing customer service that I got from Aircel and they helped me in every possible way. I got a call fom airtel and was asked why I was porting my number. Then after a long conversation of trying to convince the person to port my numbers, the person on the other end said that the numbers might face rejection and its not easy to port out of airtel. Later that day I got an SMs from aircel stating that the numbers have been rejected by Bharti airtel because of
          “There are subsisting contractual obligation from the subscriber agreement”.
          When I called them they say that “Koi contract hoga” rather than giving me a valid reason.
          I have no contracts, these numbers are about 6 years old and all the bills have been paid up to date. When a customer is not happy why don’t they just let the customer go. All readers please do not use Airtel. Once in you will never get out. STAY AWAY

            I purcahsed a new connection through customer service (Shell Trans source) on 19th of August receipt No. is 37365 an the amount payable was 1190/- in the name of Shruti Bajaj but till date no connecton has been installed.Despite of regular talks on the help desk of Airtel from 22nd of August for insatllation as well as for give my mone back no raction has been taken. So what to do and what not.Please help me out.

              I have called in your so-called customer care on 3rd of September your executive has picked a call and 15 minutes of discussion he told me that this problem will solved in 4 hours,and given me request no-3414406 and told me that I will get a call from customer care .

              I waited whole two days 3rd and 4th September I didn’t get any response from you smart people and your smart company.

              After this I called on 5th sep with Mr Rajender in morning 11.15 am he told me the same story and given me the Froud Request no 21031934 and same no response from you people.

              After this on 6th September I called in the evening and having a word with Miss Sanju and she also told me the same story like before and had taken my no for callback – [protected] ( Sir definitely you will receive a call from our side with in 4 hours )

              Usually I wait entire day of 6th September I didn’t get any call from you sincere guys.
              On 7th September I called 1 pm in customer care and had a word with mr Anurag and the same story continues sir we have reascilate your matter and we have callback on your registered no -[protected]

              After that when Miss Sanju had taken my no -[protected] on 6th of september .
              First of all I would like to know that, Are you people working professionally in your company or passing your valuable time in YOUR OFFICE means in customer care ?????????????

              Secondly when I am trying to speak your customer care executive that I want to speak your Seniors or any higher management regarding this matter so what they said sir take this no[protected], on this no you will able to speak with Mr. Gurmeet Singh and when I have tried this no the message I got from other side ( your Language has been successfully changed ).

              So My agenda/ Aim is to tell you people I thing that the problem had taken 4 working days and still no response from your side because you people are busy in your world , you have taken the bill payment

              Now somebody got pain after giving 15-20 calls in you customer care you people are not going to work because don’t have time to do work or don’t have time to solve the problem.

              If you still have some professionally people who are able to do work in office then I am interested to speak with him.

              Sir,
              I have submitted my complaint to the Airtel Customer Care for the repaing for my Airtel Fixed Line connection but still after 3 days (since 29.08.2009), no attention has been paid to my problem and due to which I am suffering from a heavy loss. My complaint number for Airtel is 95443044. This number would help you see my problem easily. I also made the complaint on 27.08.2009 for the same reason.

                Hi....
                Why is airtel unnecessarily charging amount on some unwanted services. Today I got Rs.30 deducted for airtel radio. I just answered the call and ended it. I didn't even press any other key.This is ridiculous. And to talk to the customer care executive why dont you have a straight menu. I have been attempting 6 times to talk to the executive but my call gets cut. I have been using airtel from the past 10 years. Now I would seriously give second thoughts if things like this happen and reaching out to a cutomer service agent is a herculean task. This is not the first time the reduction is taking place.

                  Hi,

                  I am getting following mail from Airtel Broadband On every 20th of the month for 3-4 months "You have consumed 100% of your high speed data transfer limit of 20480 MB. Now you will be getting a revised speed till the end of this bill cycle" and then they change speed to 256kbps and ask me to pay more money .Once they sent that mail in 5 days and none was there at home to use broadband for those 5 days.
                  I am using airtel internet and never used my full 20 GB quota , and now even if i dont even surf they send this mail regularly just to ask money for "Speed On Demand".As they dont even provide detailed usage for Broadband in monthly bill , I contacted on "[protected]@airtel.in" to ask for Details of my DSL usage and they said they dont have rights to provide those details.What does it mean?

                  Situation is even worse now and i got 100% quota utilization email on 10th day of billing itself and they reduced the bandwidth to 256 KBPS and asking for money . This is ridiculous that they just disturb customers so that they pay extra for their "Speed on Demand" service.

                  I have a same issue... I calleed the customer service.. They told me to switch off the wireless router when not in use... This is ... I have planned to change to somether service provider..

                      Hi,
                      I am Ritesh Mittal and my airtel mobile no is [protected], I had 760 MB(approx) of net surfing in my account on the 4th of September evening and Rs 318(approx) bal in the main account but on 5th of September morning when I checked the balance it was showing 0 MB in the net surfing account and Rs 29 in the main account. When I inquired why the balance had been deducted from my account it was said to me that it was due to net surfing from the number. When I checked the amount of last data usage in my mobile it showed me around 220 MB. Then I again called up the customer care and they took my complain (Complain No CBDCC[protected]) and told me that my issue will be solved by the 6th of September 2pm but the issue still exist and facing a lot of problems.

                      I also have one more point that if I was haivng 760 MB of net balance on the 4th of September(which was agreed by Customer Care) then according to airtel's surfing speed which is at the most 18KB/s it would take near about 12hrs minimum to finish up the net surfing balance and then to deduct my Rs[protected] it would take another 1 hrs.
                      In total it would take near about 13hrs but the difference in my checking balance was only 6hrs.
                      So how is the deduction possible.

                      Calculations:
                      760MB*1024= 778240 KB
                      778240/18(KB/s)=43235 seconds
                      43235/60= 720 minutes
                      720/60= 12hrs

                      Please Help me out.

                      I am sorry to say but I still have not received no resolution towards my complain. I am still standing where I was. I even tried contacting customer care at 121 but was of no help either.

                        I have a corporate postpaid SIM from Airtel mobile services.
                        For the month of August 2011(20Jul-20Aug) i have been charged unreasonably.

                        I had enabled a 2G connection & after 2 weeks i enabled 3G mobile services.
                        For 2G i had selected a 99RS package with 2GB of data download free.
                        For 3G i had selected a 250MB free download package.

                        However, airtel consumer care have been disconnecting my calls when i ask why i have been charged extra. The issue is that once the 3G package was enabled they have disabled the 2G package which i had chosen and the worst part i was not informed.

                        I was under the impression that i have both 2G & 3G package enabled. They have stated that i have used 380+MB of data for august out of which most are on 2G network.

                        It has been days now that i have been escalating this issue but with no help.
                        Also as per the itemised bill that i have attached they claim that i have used internet upto the 12th of Aug 2011. But i remember getting a msg from them that i have used 92% of my limit on 18th Aug 2011.

                        Please help me as the billing is unreasonable and i feel helpless now.

                          Dear Sir,

                          I am using Airtel DTH services for TV programs since 2009, Oct. My Cust ID is [protected]. I want to compalin against the pathetic services of Airtel DTH. My set top box went bad on 31st August and I filed a complaint on their toll free number[protected]. THe complaint no is 11481673 done at around 5:45 PM on 31/08/2011

                          However inspite pf their telling me that withing 24 hrs someone would call up, no one did. I again called at the same toll free number[protected] and they again assured me within 24 hrs service. When no one called up again till 2nd Sept, 2011, I got hold of their baroda office and asked them about my problem then a service engineer truend up in the afternoon and changed my set top box. Now so many days elepsed when they just had to change a set top box, it took 10 mins only.

                          I was charged Rs 350/- from my account for this. However, The set top box has 3 months warranty. I could use it till the night of 4th Sep. In the morning of 5th sept, when i turned it up, the thinh just hung and the status is same now. I called up unmpteenth time to their Baroda office (No[protected] and they assured me that they will solve my problem by 5th evening. However nothing happened. I am calling them today too and now they say they dont have thje set top box in their warehouse. It will take another 2 days for that to come from Ahmedabad. I am trying their local no and the phone no given at the time of purchasing the system in 2009 of one My Paresh Patel ([protected]) but either he is not picking up or cutting the call.

                          Calling their toll free number[protected] will be futile again since they will go through their routines of giving a Complaint no and telling me that it will get solved in 24 hours.

                          The ground situation is different. The Airtel is not bothered about my waste of 5 days, my waste of time by calling them around 25 times appx. and my Rs 350/- amount still charged against a faulty replacement.

                          A problem which just need a replacement of set top box (which doesnt take more than 10 mins) has taken 5 days...and still counting. and we complain about pathetic government services ?...How about Airtel.

                          I would like to put this complaint through you so that this gets noticed and get proper redressal and people should not suffer.

                            Mobile no. [protected]. I recently bought a Nokia N8 and was given an offer by Airtel that I will be receiving free 2 GB of internet usage for next 6 months. It was received for the month of August but it got deactivated for the month of Sep without any prior information and my consent. I was not aware of it and was using net as usual. My balance was unnecessarily deducted for the service which was offered to me for free. I called Airtel customer service "198" on 2nd Sep 2011 and lodged a complaint regarding same. They told me that my issue will be resolved by 5th Sep 2011 by 6.00pm. I didn't received any call and my problem was not solved till today, 6th Sep 2011. I called again today where the executive told me .that my problem is still not solved and he will transfer the call to a senior. The call got disconnected at the same time and again disconnected when I called 2-3 times. Till now I am unable to contact them. I have lodged complaints regarding unnecessarily deduction of balance and activation of services on my number, earlier also with Airtel. I don't why Airtel is not keeping their customers satisfied being the most trusted company.

                            Airtel — unusual balance deductions by activating unnecessary packs

                            i have been calling airtel customer care since 12.2.2011 regarding activation o[censored]nnecessary packs by themselves. on feb 12th, Rs.50/- was deducted from my account by giving me the message that i had activated java games. the same thing happened on january 16th. however, when i called customer care on january 16th, they told that this deduction is one time only and no further deductions shall be made due to this cause. but, when again Rs.50/- was deducted on feb, on calling customer care, they told that this would happen each month. again on 13th feb, at 6.00 pm, while i was using e-buddy mobile messenger, i received a message saying Rs.20/- has been deducted for downloading some Babes and Bikes game. whereas, i did not do any such thing. again that night at 10.40 pm, i received another message saying Rs.50/- has been deducted for downloading the same Babes and Bikes game. the same thing happened with two of my friends and one of my colleague at office. now, we are thinking of approaching Consumer Services and we would directly approach Department of telecom for their help.

                              I never expected that I would be cheated by entering my details on airtel website.
                              Only reason I went for airtel dth is that I can manage my mobile, broadband and dth all at one place.

                              I am from Chennai. I had updated my number and name on airtel.in website for getting new HD DTH connection.
                              I got call from Ashif Khan (ashif.[protected]@vriti-interactive.com) from this number[protected].
                              He told me that I will get connection (South economy sports with aitel HD dth + telugu regional pack, 3months subscription, 250rs cashback) for 2600 Rs.
                              I paid 2600rs with icici credit card on 3rd September using Payment Link connectindia.in/checkout.htm. Reference number is 3879235.
                              He promised that by 4th September evening I will get the installation done but nothing happened till now.
                              There is no customer id generated for me till now.
                              All my STD calls and emails to vriti interactive were unanswered.
                              No idea why airtel is entertaining such fraud illegal thrid party fellows.

                              I have googled for vriti-interactive and my heart dropped by seeing the number of complaints registered on it and airtel dth combined. That’s the reason I am writing this email.

                              Hope this email finds the right person.
                              Please see to it that I receive the connection with specified package as promised. If not please return my money back.

                                  my iptv connection has been disconnected from last 15 days despite paying all bills .

                                  i visited airtel hub(center) dc chowk,rohini sector-9, they said their own office airtel phone is not repaired since 3 weeks how can they help me.''
                                  this kind of service is not expected from a company like airtel.

                                  They said that from our end a request to discontinue the connection was made which is not true....soo i would like my connection to be working again asap.

                                  Bharti Airtel India — Cheating Customers During Migration From Prepaid to Postpaid by giving wrong Commitment.

                                  Before Migration From Prepaid to Postpaid, I was told that from Airtel Department that:

                                  All STD Call Charges: Rs.1.00 INR per minute
                                  All National SMS Charges: Rs.0.50 INR per minute
                                  All Local SMS Charges: Rs.0.05 INR per message

                                  Based on the above received information (commitment), I migrated to Postpaid and then my Bill got generated as per below:

                                  All STD Call Charges: Rs.1.50 INR per minute
                                  All National SMS Charges: Rs.1.50 INR per minute
                                  All Local SMS Charges: Rs.0.50 INR per message

                                  So many emails I sent to [protected]@airtelindia.com, nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in, appellate.[protected]@airtel.in. But no one is responding with regard to wrong commitment, Whilst I was getting the information regarding the bill plan (Which has no meaning for my email).

                                  Just Airtel Cellular Services in India, is cheating the customers like anything.
                                  And in these cheating ways, now they are feeling proud to announce that they are having[protected] customers in India. But they don't know that, they reached that goal in a shameful manner and by cheating the customers.

                                  I'm Feeling very shame to be one among those customers of Airtel.

                                  I never requested for any WIFI however in the current month bill I have been charged with 1000 Rs for WIFI charges while talking to CSR They said I have been delivered this WIFI on 7th July which is an untrue statement whenever I try to talk to service provider they keep disconnecting my calls and therefore i spoke with several people like vivek pratiksha and vikas suri and many.They all misguided me which is unfeasible I have been using BB since march I already had WIFi why would I ask for it again if nothing is wrong.Your people are keep misguiding me I am planning to go to consumer court because I have proper evidence please check this concern and resolve it ASAP I must not have any interruption I am also having the print screen in this email which is being sent to my lawyer if it is not resolved I would ask for huge penalty which might cause problem to airtel and on the top of it please take care of your CSRS who are keep disconnecting our calls.                                   i had to renew my bill plan EIL 150 ion jan 09 but they renewed some other plan which did nt have the discounts which i get in my EIL150 scheme.Even several requests to change the scheme they finally activated in june after gap of 6 months
                                  compensation is against the monthly rental and call discounts though i have been compensated against monthly rental but no monthly call discount has been provided. my phone was cut several of times even though i had rs 2000 credit limit and even the excessively charged bill were less than that so it was misbehavior and misconduct on their part. its been year they have been treating like this

                                  bharti airtel india — Misleading and fooling to buy new plan

                                  I have a landline – internet connection at home with a Rs.1099 unlimited plan. Till about 2 months back I had a Rs.699 Unlimited Plan with 256kbps speed and a download speed of 30kbps( I was totally happy and satisfied with it for the past 4 years). In April, i was told that I could upgrade my plan and move to Rs.1099 and get a speed of 60kbps for download. It’s been 2 months I agreed to change the plan and I have never got that download speed of 60Kbps till date which I was told I would get. I have called 9 times to put forward a complaint from the past 1 month (1 complaint No.[protected] and no one had even come to check on the same till someone turned up on 10.07.2010 and says – Sorry sir you will not get the desired speed and we cannot do anything about it.

                                  And when i checked with Airtel on this statement, they said it was right and will only get that speed on particular sites and not all: which was never told to me beforehand. And when i asked the same to that Airtel Executive on the phone - he mentioned that if they start telling this to everyone how will Bharti Airtel they make money and this is how Sunil Bharti Mittal Chairman Bharti Airtel is a big man today.

                                  And regarding the plan, when i asked to put me back to my old plan, the answer was - the old plan is discontinued and i cannot do anything about it. I will have to continue like this - i like it or not.

                                  I think this is a total rip off and I never expected this from Airtel. As what I can understand was that Airtel just wanted to close that plan and move people on to this new plan and if they are not happy with the service later on also, they can’t do much as the earlier plan has been withdrawn.

                                  I havent paid any bill of theirs till date for past 2 months and would not like to pay it also as that is like giving to their demands as and when they feel comfortable. And now, Airtel has even started sending their recovery agents and threatning me to pay those unpaid bills.

                                  Airtel — Wrong information and harassment

                                  This is regarding the document resubmission for Airtel postpaid connections. I have had this connection for 8 years now - and I got a call from Airtel that I would have to resubmit my documents. On asking whether a letter on my company letterhead is valid as address proof or not, they said yes (this was from a customer care person). When I went to submit they said it's not acceptable as a residence proof. This is a clear contradiction between statements made by their own people. I had spent considerable time to get the letter, and then skip office for half a day to go to submit it.

                                  This is as low as a lack of customer service goes - and whatever service Airtel has - is by stupid people.
                                  I've mailed you my contact details. However, it is quite surprising that you are so responsive and willing to solve customer issues on online public forums, but the same cannot be said for you when I contact you directly. Why is that? Is your management listening? Are they going to take away anything from this conversation?
                                  So, any updates?
                                  Any updates on this issue? Or are you still working on a resolution? It's been a week.
                                  You were waiting to hear from me? I've mailed you once and you said you're looking into the issue. The ball was in your court - you were supposed to respond.

                                  i would like to draw attention of higher officials at airtel's end to look into this matter and resolve it ASAP

                                    Hi,

                                    I bought a new postpaid connection with plan 199/- Rs per month plan. And also, on the same day, I activated 2GB GPRS plan of 98/- Rs per month. According to the plan, I have to 98/- Rs per month and I will be able to use 2GB of GPRS data without any extra cost.

                                    My GPRS usage for the duration 8th Aug to 20th Aug was 1.76GB. But, in the bill, I got around 11,000Rs for GPRS usage only.


                                    These are the exact things which happened in sequence:-

                                    1. 8th Aug 2011 : Bought the number with plan 199/- Rs per month.Activated GPRS plan of 98/- Rs per month
                                    2. 11th aug to next few days : I started talking to customer support guys for inquiring about the GPRS unbilled amount. They said you will not get charged until you use more than 2GB GPRS.
                                    3. Aug 22nd 2011 : Airtel gave me bill of 7177/- Rs in which 7000/- was only for GPRS usage which was not more tha 2GB.

                                    I haven't used GPRS more than 2GB And I already activated GPRS plan for 2GB.


                                    I have contacted customer care, nodal officers and appellate officers for the same for n number of times. Every time I call, they will say, they are trying to get the information from concerned department and will revert back in 2 days. And after 2 days, they will mail telling the charges are valid. I am getting sick of these guys. They always deviate the matter by giving stupid excuses and when I counter argue, they will not have an answer and they will say, we will get back in 2 days.

                                    Now they are saying that you have been charged on the pro rata basis which charge me 30paise per 50Kb. When I was contacting customer care center at the time I was getting[protected]Rs unbilled amount they said you will not get charged below 2GB. And if airtel is charging on the prorata basis why shouldn't they tell me before. Even no one told me that they will charge on the pro rata basic for the 12 days?

                                      But my sim was actually lost; as police complaint might be a major step to take so i did not complaint;

                                      But when I called to that number again; I came to know that some people are using that number right now;

                                      so you are requested to pls start service in my actual sim card again which I have found now which was in my books.

                                      you are requested to pls deactive that number again; & reactivate my sim card which is[protected] .

                                      When I called that number I came to know that they have some how issued the same with the name of Rajendra or like that.

                                      & Rajendra is not using that mobile; they have some how managed with the documents of Rajendra.

                                      I dont know about those people i only know about my number;

                                      I could not manage for Airtel to personally visit at the time of my sim lost.

                                      so pls reissue me the same number; for your verification I have already mention the sim number which I found from the sim itself.

                                      On 5-Jan-2009 at 17:33:58 hours i received a message from Urgent, !!Urgent! Your number has been selected for a $5, 000 prize guaranteed! To claim your prize call +[protected]. I called this number immediately after few minutes and i heard a voice asking my details confirming my mobile number, and mode of trasfer of the money. I have confirmed my number but i didnt confirm the mode of transfer of the prize ... bucause the bill was going high and the PCO shop owner told me this number is for Czechsolovakia. Please advise me whats all about this? How my number has been collected by other around the world? What is this actually.                                       I also got the same message on 6th Afternoon at 11.42 am.Strangely the Phone no of Sender is 000.Surely its a Scam.But my request to Airtel is that can they not Trace this and Report a Cyber Scam and get the Scammer screwed up.We are daily receiving email of Money Won etc and Nows its even on Mobile Number.

                                      I think airtel should look into this as these messages come at a wrong time mainly in the nights.

                                      पूर्वी दिल्ली, जागरण संवाददाता : बधाई हो, आपके फोन का नंबर हमारे लकी ड्रॉ में चुना गया है और आपने इनाम में पांच हजार डालर जीत लिए हैं। इनाम की रकम प्राप्त करने के लिए तुरंत हमें .. नंबर पर फोन मिलाएं। अगर आपके मोबाइल फोन पर ऐसा कोई एसएमएस आता है तो समझ लीजिए कि आपकी जेब साफ करने की तैयारी हो गई है। जैसे ही आप मैसेज के तहत मिले नंबर पर कॉल करेंगे, आप समझ भी न पाएंगे और आपको हजारों रुपये की चपत लग जाएगी। राजधानी में आजकल ऐसे एसएमएस भेज कर लोगों के मोबाइल फोन का बैलेंस हड़पने वाला गिरोह सक्रिय है। एसएमएस से ठगी करने वाले गिरोह का तरीका भी अलग ही है। इससे आसानी से कोई भी व्यक्ति बेवकूफ बन जाता है।

                                      इन दिनों लोगों को अर्जेट नाम से उनके मोबाइल फोन पर एक एसएमएस आ रहा है। इसमें लिखा होता है कि आपका नंबर लकी ड्रॉ में चुना गया है और आपका पांच हजार डालर का इनाम निकला है। इनाम की रकम प्राप्त करने के लिए मोबाइल धारक को एक आईएसडी कॉल रेट नंबर [protected] पर फोन करने के लिए कहा जाता है। जब मैसेज रिसीव करने वाला व्यक्ति इनाम के लालच में इस नंबर पर फोन मिलाता है तो फोन करने वाले को आईएसडी रेट चार्ज के हिसाब से रुपये खर्च करने पड़ते हैं। जैसे ही दिए गए नंबर पर फोन मिलाया जाता है तो फोन रिसीव करने वाला बधाई देता है और कहता है कि आपने पांच हजार डालर जीत लिए हैं। लेकिन लोगों की यह खुशी उस समय काफूर हो जाती है, जब फोन करने वाले को बताया जाता है कि उसे इनामी राशि पाने के लिए कुछ रकम एडवांस में टैक्स के रूप में इनाम देने वाले के खाते में जमा करानी होगी। इस पर अगर कोई झांसे में न आकर फोन काट भी देता है तो भी वह खुद को ठगा-सा महसूस करता है, क्योंकि आईएसडी कॉल रेट के हिसाब से उसके फोन का अच्छा-खासा बिल बन चुका होता है।

                                      एक अन्य तरीके से भी फोन करने वाले को ठगा जा रहा है। फोन करने वाले को पूछा जाता है कि वह मोबाइल से फोन कर रहा है या लैंडलाइन से। मोबाइल से फोन करने वाले को फोन पर ही कुछ बटनों को दबाने के दिशा-निर्देश दिए जाते हैं। उन निर्देशों को अपनाते ही फोन करने वाले का सारा फोन बैलेंस अचानक हैक कर लिया जाता है। इसके अलावा कुछ लोग अधिक लालच में आ जाते हैं तो उन्हें सीधे अकाउंट नंबर बता कर टैक्स की रकम को उनके अकाउंट में जमा कराने के लिए कहा जाता है।

                                      इसी तरह ठगी का शिकार हुए शाहदरा निवासी अजीत ने बताया कि उसने एसएमएस आने के बाद इनाम के लालच में दिए गए नंबर पर फोन किया और फोन पर बात करने वाले व्यक्ति से दिशानिर्देश पर कुछ बटन भी दबाए। उसके बाद उसके मोबाइल का पांच हजार रुपये का बैलेंस पलक झपकते ही गायब हो गया। उसके बाद उसका फोन भी कट गया। बाद में उसे एहसास हुआ कि वह ठगी जा चुका है। चूंकि गलती खुद उसकी थी, इसलिए उसने मामले की शिकायत कहीं नहीं की।

                                      ऐसे की जाती है ठगी

                                      फोन करने वाला व्यक्ति जिस आईएसडी कॉल रेट नंबर पर फोन करता है, उस नंबर की कंपनी के साथ मैसेज भेजने वाले का कमीशन तय होता है। ऐसे नंबरों पर फोन करना अन्य आईएसडी नंबरों पर फोन करने से कुछ अधिक महंगा होता है। इस तरह जानबूझ कर फोन करने वाले व्यक्ति को लंबी बातों में उलझाया जाता है, ताकि उसका बिल अधिक से अधिक बने। अधिक बात होने पर जितनी चपत फोन करने वाले को लगेगा, उतनी ही कमाई ठगी करने वाले को कंपनी के जरिये हो जाती है।

                                        I am having Airtel Broadband connection no. 0124 – 4001575 name of Mr. Amit Dhawan, since last 3 to 2 month. Now from last one month the company is harassing me a lot because we have call many times in airtel customer care for activate my Centrex service (First request number 2596234 date on 20/Aug/2011, Second request by call on 29/Aug/2011 number 3173782 and customer care executive give me SLA time, first 24/Aug/2011 but now my request in open status, second SLA time give by customer care after closed my first SLA, 31/Aug 2011, now today date is 5/Sep/2011, status of my last request is open) on my broadband but service yet not activate. The company official always made an excuse that the Centrex service is activated on your broadband but now service still not activate. Unfortunately I have no proof to show them that I have not started any service.

                                        Further I request you to activate my Centrex service on number[protected] as I require it very urgently and take necessary action.
