HI! I use an airtel sim card on my phone I've received a SMS on 6th jan 2009 stating !!URGENT! Your phone number has been selected for a $5000 prize guaranteed! to claim your prize call +[protected]. the Message center is =[protected] The above SMS was also received by one of my family members using reliance connection stating to call to some other number for the Lottery prize. here the message center was different. After investigating a bit i found these numbers was of Montreal a city in Canada. Can anyone find or see what is the exact SCAM about, and help other all who received such Pishing SMS. Hi,
I have received the same type of call and it was said that I have won 15Lac, and was asked to buy one I2Z cash coupon of 20, 000 and to tell them the number inscribed in the coupon. Then some people will come and verify it. According to me the whole thing is fraud. If any body has any information on this kindly comment.
