[Resolved]  Airtel — Deduction of main balance even when 3G data pack is active

Hi sir,

I have been using my airtel number [protected] (pre-paid) for the past 2.2 years. Recently I used their 3G recharge of Rs.103 which gives 300Mb data balance for 30 days. Since then i have been experiencing loss in main data balance frequently, as it would give me a msg " you have been charged Rs.X.XX from your a/c". The loss value depends upon my browsing session. Since then i had to do top-up recharges often, as my main a/c bal is getting deducted.
Today morning it happened that my phone bal of Rs.23.87, has been reduced to Rs.0.02 for a data usage of 48489.69 KB, when i had a 3G balance of ~68000 KB. When i checked my 3G balance i still had 17 MB left in my 3G a/c. I did not even have balance to make a call to the customer care. I had done another recharge of 100 and called up the customer care. They restored my main a/c balance with Rs.23.85. They claimed me that they can restore only my last transaction balance.
But the issue does not solve here, i have been losing my main a/c balance since i did the 3G recharge. Airtel has been cheating their loyal customer like this. I had done ~ Rs.600recharge for 2 months, since i started using 3G, where as my normal usage will be less than avg. Rs.150 per month.
Also the network is so pathetic that, call drops occur 10-15 times when we try make a call. As per the call tariff i have one sec pulse(1 paise/sec), but call charges are like i lose more, say if i make a local call of 10 sec, i lose balance of more than 10 pasie.
I kindly request the consumer forum to take strict action agaisnt these kind of fraud done to the public.

Rewriting the earlier comment as that is not clear.

I am also facing the same problem. Time to time they do. Once I noted that they charged Rs. 145 even when balance was there in "3G account". They returned me only Rs 45. They have easy way to make fortune this way. They can deduct any time in any way possible.

AIRTEL IS A REAL CHEATER. I HAVE 3G BALANCE OF 55 MB BUT THIS CHEATING NETWORK CHARGED ME RS. 154 FROM MAIN BALANCE AND MY MAIN BALANCE BECOMES ZERO...

SO I CALLED 198 TO REPORT BUT THE USELESS CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE TOLD ME THAT I USED LARGE DATA DOWNLOAD. I ASKED THAT STUPID AGAIN WHY AMOUNT WAS CHARGED EVEN I HAVE 55 MB 3G BALANCE.
HE IS DUMB AND TOLD ME THAT HE WILL TRANSFER CALL TO HIS SENIOR OFFICER. HE PUT THE CALL ON HOLD FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES AND FINALLY HE DISCONNECTED THE CALL ALSO WITHOUT TELLING ANY DETAILS

TRAI SHOULD PUT SOME RULES OR IMPOSE A FINE FOR WRONG DEBIT FOR THIS CHEATERS
I am an Airtel customer, with no. [protected].
I am facing the same issue since many days. I have 3G balance of over Rs. 600, but still my Main Balance is getting drained with Internet. Sometimes the balance is being deducted from 3G pack, but mostly from the Main Balance.
Although my phone is in Roaming, I have activated the Roaming Pack and this should not be a problem at all.
Please check your systems and provide me with Refund.
