Airtel Digital TV — Poor response towards the services

This is Shailendra Singh, booked an Airtel Digital TV (HD+) and it was committed to get it installed cum activated with in 48 hrs but even after the seven days nobody came to do said activity. And,I also lodged couple of complaint of same but no response till time. Hoping that I would get some relief to an extent after lodging the complaint thru this forum.

AirTel — poor response

whenever a complaint is lodged, a fixed reply comes that your query shall be replied in ... hrs, which is never done.

Right now, I am unable to access the web as they are blocking the Date column & then asking to submit the DATE of Birth

Earlier also I had tried it several times, but No Response from co.
Always same----shall reply in ... hrs.

I AM PEEVED TO SAY THAT I AM FED UP OF YOUR TERRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE AND IRRITATING SERVICES.
I HAVE UNFORTUNATELY BUYED TWO SET TOP BOXES OF AIRTEL DIGITAL TV FROM A SHOP AT KANPUR ON 6 MONTHS FREE SUBSCRIPTION SCHEME (M/S SARALA AGENCY)ON 23 rd DEC, ’08.
ON THE DAY OF INSTALLATION I HAVE USED ONE OF MY TWO ACTIVATION VOUCHER WORTH Rs 2000/= SR NO# [protected]& AND 3 -4 DAYS LATER WHEN I TRIED TO ACTIVATE THE SECOND VOUCHER THE VOUCHER WAS TERMED INVALID.
MY CURRENT ACCOUNT IS PRESENTLY STATED AS NEGATIVE Rs 1500/=.
I HAVE TRIED TO ACTIVATE THIS VOUCHER ON INNUMERABLE OF TIMES BUT A COMPUTERISED VOICE STATES THAT THE SCRATCH CODE FOR THE ABOVE TRANSACTION IS INVALID.
I HAVE CALLED YOUR TOLL FREE NO [protected] WHICH I THINK IS THE WORST CUSTOMER CARE I HAVE EVER CALLED.
MY FIRST COMPLAINT NO. 486641 WAS NOT FIXED AND WAS CLOSED WITHOUT ANY TELECOMMUNICATION.
MY SECOND COMPLAINT IN SAME REFERENCE #NO.493296 IS NOT AS YET FIXED, WHICH WAS REGISTERED ON 15 TH JAN, ’09.
I REGRET TO SAY THAT IF THE ABOVE ISSUE IS NOT BEING FIXED AT PRIORTY I WILL HAVE TO MOVE TO THE CONSUMER FORUM.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Poor Service and Response

I am unable to add a new package in my account. They say the account is not active but I am able to watch the channels. They re-installed the connection in a new location after that they the account is not active. They have taken Rs.600/- from my account and they the account is not active. I have spoken with the Manager of the Call center of the Digital TV. He promised me the service will be active with in 2 days but even after 10 days they say its not active. The same manager has also promised that he will call me back with in 2 days. But he never kept his promise.

Airtel — non responsive customer care

I had recevied a massage on 8 nov 08, saying that all my std calls will be charged Rs 1/min. but when I called on std nos. they charged Rs 1.5/min. Then i Went to customer care for the same they listen & added the extra charged amount to my mobile balance & said the service will be activated soon. but this service is still not activated. I had talked to the customer care several time regarding this but they don't respond to this, even they cut the phone, while they can say that they can't solve it or forward to seniors.
Kindly look after this matter.

AirTel — Poor customer response

I have been an airtel customer since 1999. In 2003, I took up their offer of 'lifetime connection' paying a whopping Rs.999 then. After migrating to UK, I used to use this connection intermittently. In 2007, I realized the connection was deactivated. On my immediate trip to India, I visited the Bannerghatta road where my request was met with a pathetic front desk. After several communication including copies to Mittal, the chairman and reminders by email and phone calls from India and UK, finally one of the nodal officer agreed to issue the number to my cousin, so I can still hold the SIM. I hold this SIM card and continually have flushed money into this SIM. However for whatsoever reason not known to me, I can never make outgoing calls. I could sent text messages. After this realisation, my cousin and I have sent out at least 30 communication to customer care, nodal officers, appellate officer. Besides the automated email, we have had zero response. A message

We tried contacting Amrita Gangotra, via email and social media with a responsible officer as her who is at the helm of affairs refusing to connect.

The AIRTEL customer relations have become so very structural and pathetic, it has bottomed out to the worst possible mobile service provider ever I have come across. It clearly reflects as to how much we Indians can be treated to bureaucracy and cheating by such providers. Standard email responses without any customizations, irresponsive staff right from bottom-line to the top. My personal opinion is that one must try other service providers who spent much less on Advertisements and focuses on quality people to interact with customers to cater to their needs. I am big follower of Shah Rukh Khan, but pity that he is not aware as to what his image is up against recommending a brand that stands to me for structural bureaucracy and holds a penchant to harass customers. Should India have had a number migration, I would have been moving this number to other suitable providers.

Airtel DTH — Poor Response

Hi

This is Mahesh here. I got a situation.
For past 1.8 years i am using Airtel DTH i got a issue with signal so raised a request and could not be resolved, complained of an issue with the Clamp in the reciever. Since that was an old version of DTH they said " they dont have the clamp entire DTH has to be changed" this was fair enough.

I got a new package this guys tried installing it couldnt get proper signal and complained of the wiring issue and installed a new wire. He tried something to get it work temporarily and the signal goes down intermittently its freaking me out to reach to customer care. Other than raising the compliant request number i don't see any action in this regards. Some Please help in this regard on how to raise the complaint to a manager. Customer support executive is cutting the call when i ask for a manager.

Please help me registering a complaint. I am completely pissed with this issue.
I am without a connection for more than a week.
I have opted 2nd time for Airtel DTH for their customer service but you guys are proving it wrong.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Awful service

I have Airtel Digital TV connection(id no. [protected]) for the past 8 months and have been recharging online every time before time always for maintaining the connection. However, for the last two times
even though I recharged well before expiry, I kept getting sms from Airtel suggesting that my connection would be disconnected. Called up customer care (which is again difficult to get through!) and explained the issue. The first executive was adamant and wanted my debit card number even when I kept on insisting that it was a netbanking transaction and I gave him the transaction ID. Call got disconnected and the next executive was better and I was told that the complaint has been raised and it was a glitch in the software that probably did not update the info. Problem was resolved but recurred again the next time. My expiry date was 22nd march and I recharged with Rs300 on 18th March but still I started getting sms from Airtel. Initially, I ignored thinking that it might be the same software glitch problem however the sms continued and I called up the cutomer care number. It was hell getting through that number. had to wait for 15 minutes to talk to an executive. Again explained him the situation and was given the same response that it is a software glitch and that I should not worry. But alas on 24th march my connection was discontinued!!!!!!!!
I have decided to get away with airtel digital TV and would advise others not to venture into it as well. They spend lot of money on filmstars for promoting their product, it would have been better if they spent the money on better software and product !!!

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Poor Product & Worst Service

I've bought 2 Airtel DTH connections in hope that I'll be able to view good quality TV. These are bunch of crooks. There have been problems since starting and it is the worst service provider. I've faced so many problems with Airtel DTH that i can write a complete book on it. Here are the details:

1) Installation time provided 24 hrs. Installed after 5 days due poor internal coordination
2) Everytime there is some wind the dish stop getting signals from satellite and TV is down for 24 hrs.
3) Customer care gives 24 hrs time for complaint to be attended and they appear after 48 hrs.
4) May 21st i registered a complaint, a message came that engineer will visit tomorrow before 2 pm while the engineer did not come and I received the message that your complaint has been resolved while DTH was still dead. I had to register the complaint again and it got attended to after another 24 hrs.
5) Yesterday there was some heavy wind and my TV is dead since then, called up the customer care yesterday and as usual the server is down we can't register the complaint. Called up today and the response is that we'll attend to your complaint after 24 hrs.

Worst service Airtel DTH, Product Airtel DTH. Third class customer service Airtel DTH.

AirTel — Poor Response/Service

It is amazing how Airtel still survives. I lodged a complaint on 14th May and again on 16th May as well as after two weeks on 31st May that my landline cum broadband is not working. Amazing customer services which hitherto unheard of was doing the rouns assuring"Give us one more day", "Give us one more chance",etc,. and I visited their Indira Nagar Office near the Footbridge. Amazing scenes witnessed at the queue of Broadband/Landline with atleast a dozen customers with similar complaints. Each one asking they wanted to see the Manager. The lady at the counter was helpless and to add insult to injury, their Manager-Ms.Barkha comes peeping out every five minutes and whispers to the counter to get rid of the customers as soon as possible with little attempt even to care for the horrible situation faced by Airtel customers. Such is the state of affairs of Airtel and I finally cancelled my landline and went for another subscriber telecom company.
My advice to one and all- "Once upon a time there was Airtel but not any more as it is HellTell"

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — POOR SERVICES & NON RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS

I am a most promising customer on Airtel digital TV network but now i have only to say that AIRTEL IS A POOR SERVICE PROVIDER & A NON RESPONSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDER.

On 26th june i have requested to migrate to have movies now activated in my channels; for migration possibility i have confirmed my availability on week ends (saturday & sunday). but nothing got shaped up. finally i was forced to withdraw my request on movies now.

With no prior information on 16th Aug 2011; an service engineer arrives my resd & in presence of my wife he got the migration thing done; whle he left we found that only 3-4 channels were active while almost all the channels were not Working error NO SIGNAL = B001

Complaint was filed and was assured to get this complaingt resolved by 3:30 pm on 17th Aug 2011.

On 17th Aug 2011; NO SOLUTION
A message was made to my registered mobile reading as problem resolved; but nothing happened. On checking with the customer service desk i was told as wrong mobile number and wrong adress. I have crosschecked the same with the dealer M/s Hitech and find that my resd at GT road Sahibabad is not a part of his execution territory. this was again updated to the customer care supervisor.with a complaint on the dealer too.
Again it was comitted that the problem will be resolved by 3:30 on 18th Aug 2011.

No solution; this time when i sopke to the senior supervisor - customer servise desk he responded in a negative manner;
PROBLEM REMAINED: AS IT WAS.

19TH Aug 2011
This complaint was forwarded to NODAL OFFICER at [protected]; where this was assured that the problem will be resolved in mext two hours.And waiver will be provided for the non functional days.
OUTCOME OF THE DAY: NO TV SIGNAL

20th Aug 2011.
the condition remained the same; spoke to customer care executive and was commited
that the problem will be resolved in next couple of hours. and finally the day went off with no solutions.

NOW WITH LOT OF DISSATISFACTION TO AIRTEL I CAN ONLY SAY SORRY FOR THE SERVICES I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH AIRTEL DIGITAL TV SERVICE

NEVER GO ON AIRTEL DIGITAL SERVICES NOW FOR THIS WAS EARLIER A GOOD SERVICE IN THE PAST BUT NOT NOW.

Bharti Airtel — Poor response and service

My Airtel number is [protected].

Paid Rs 98 for GPRS connectivity on June 21. The service did not get activated inspite of calls to 121, 198, 12118 and mails to [protected]@in.airtel.com and messages to 52212, 543210.

The mail response was to seek time upto June 29 to do the required setting on Airtel side for activation of the service which should have been automatic on payment of the fee!

Two vists to the Airtel Shop in Banjara Hills where I paid the amount were also unhelpful.

Finally, after many misdirections from 198 and 121 a supervisor resolved the very simple issue by taking approipriate action. A simple matter required hours of effort spread over two days!
