[Resolved] Airtel DTH HD — Dish direction change | |||
I am Airtel HD DTH customer from Coimbatore. I had applied for the Movies Now HD channel through request given as SMS to 54325 on March 19th 2011. Then I thought it should be a matter few minutes that I get added up the channel. since there was no response for more than half-an-hour - I called the customer care and asked them about it to know that there has to be direction chnage done to my dish since the new channels are being given through them. They told me that some engineer will come and do that. The next day as nobody came - I called them back again and told them that nothing has got corrected - so they said they are making some changes then and so I would be without any transmission for some time - and THATS IT ! every channel was off the transmission to my house (error message: SM2) - so it even much worse than before and so again called them to know that the changes should have been done after the change of the direction. One kind person changed back the settings and so everything was back to normal then. I got my Request No: 631448 and Happy code to be shared with the engineer on 25th March 2011 and then again another SMS with request No: 6317667 for another request of the same problem the same day. When I talked with the Customer care once again - they told me not to place any more requests. So kept quiet with that After one week, I contacted the local DTH dealer from whom the equipments were once got - and a Lady answered saying that, " Sir! The customer care persons would state anything unreal of doing so you can't expect anything to happen within such a short time. There are about 15,000 requests pending and it would happen by that order" - I asked her if she could give any approximate time line for my request to happen and she asked me my request number and told me I need to call her again the next day to find that out. The next day and till now the number is out of reach. I tried to get the personnel, who had once set the DTH in my home ( 6 months ago), so that he could come and get this direction business ready. He initially refused but later told that he would come if gets paid for it separately - I accepted for that. But after dodging for a 3 days with repeated phone calls - he never called me back to do anything. So I thought he was least interested for an existing customer and never thought being loyal for one poor guy sitting here who can't do anything about this. If he had refused, without offering me a chance - it would have been honest of him but he wanted money but never had time to collect it !!! Frustrated with all my routes and got quiet for sometime again - for things to happen itself. After waiting till 09th April I called the Customer care again explaining all this things once again - and again one gentleman, answered politely stating that he would make some one come over here to my home within one day (Request No:6767829 and the happy code). I don't know what wrong I had done all through the procedure and no one had answered any truth till - if it would happen within some days or not - all of them were giving false promises. SO I HAVE THOUGHT OF CLOSING MY CONNECTION IF NO FURTHER ACTION IS TAKEN WITH THE REMAINING GETTING CLOSED BY 12TH MAY FROM ACCOUNT - AND JUMP TO SOME OTHER DTH SERVICE. If there is a chance of any Airtel Managers to see this complaint - is there by any chance complete things, instead of calling me and giving me assurances??? My name is Ankur Mohan, I am in Gurgaon. I have same problem. I have called the airtel customer service about 10 times and each time they say some one will come. Its been already 10 days no engineer has turned up to fix the direction or whatever.
I have been give 3 request numbers below and (Happy? Codes)

I always thought that despite the general mess we see with companies we deal with, Airtel is a bit different when it comes to customer service, But with my recent experience I am thinking to change to other guys and that will be all my services including Phones, Internet etc.
I hope someone resolves this issues as this is too frustrating.

STILL NOT SOLVED
What a shame my issue is still not resolved.
No one came no one called.
Guess what, now you can not even talk to the Airtel digital TV guys. When you call up cusomer care - 12150, and select option 3 (to speak to a representative) - first they will let you wait for 5 minutes, and then an automated message will say "Please SMS somenumber to know your balance).
Big shame Airtel. Get your house in order.

we r dissapointed to saying you that we have decided to disconnect your air tel hd tv conction. my costomer id is [protected]. but what about our money?we have talked your local service provider he is giveing very rough answer he saying ;TAKE IT AWAY & TROW IT: he is saying that he will not give us our money, so what to do?i want my money pls do somthing. thank you

AIRTEL TV — not change the direction
not change the direction because without change the direction the tv is unable to catch the all channel which i can subscribe i put complaint many times but there is not any action taken by other side my complaint no is 1389017942%

dear friends do't go for Airtel DTH and don't recharge for long time otherwise you will be face lot of problem short pried u can change your DTH service provide like me...
