[Resolved]  Airtel — Forcing me to pay landline and broadband bills which i haven't used

Dear sir,

I had opted for Broadband and Landline services from Airtel. I used it for couple years and then when i had to move out of the premises as it was rented house i requested for cancellation of the both Broadband and Landline services.

They said it will be done in 6-7 days. I have made payment for last bill and kept my account with 'zero' outstanding amount.

After this cancellation i moved out of that premises. Later after a month i got the bills for landline number.

here are the details :

Account No: 16192197

Upon seeing that i complained them that why im keep receiving bills after cancellation. They said they will be waiving of the amount for their mistake as billing section was not aware that its been cancelled.

ok, later again month i received another bill with added amount of last bill and current bill. When complained they started telling i only cancelled broadband connection and not the Landline, also they started asking me give reference number for cancellation. who will remember after couple months of cancellation of connection. When i started escalating this issue one lady called priya tried to sort out this issue and finally told its been solved they have waived off the amount. I had asked to send me a confirmation on the same. But i didnt receive the mail .

Now again after couple month im receiving mail saying

"FINAL REMAINDER FOR YOUR AIRTEL LANDLINE NO:-080420 35668_kk"

In mail they threatening me that they will go to "Lok-Adalat" and get a legal document for not paying the amount.

Now please i would request to complaint here that why i should pay for their mistake , that they havent taken my request properly and not closed completely. If i had used any of their services im ready to pay but i was not there at all and there was no usage in landline also. Airtel is harrasing me by sending and calling repeatedly over this issue and not solving this.

Bharti Airtel Ltd. — increase the monthly bill of broadband

dear sir,
i am prateek pathak i want to lodge a complaint on behalf of my elder brother pravesh pathak customer id[protected]
i am using airtel broadband from last 18 month and i am paid for that rs. 399/- monthly rental but now at random service provider change the monthly bill i.e. 449/-.

i am jaidev arora from gwalior

i having my mis scheme fom gwalior post office . i am going there at every month for the withdrawl of money from post office but the post master are always said there is unavailabilty of withdrawl form that's not true attitude towards customer's.

if there is unavailability of form . post office want to withdrawl of scheme.

Airtel Broadband — Airtel Keep sending me bills

I am saket nigam. I had an airtel broadband connection for which my user id is [protected]_mp account number = 11856274
my connection is disactivated on 14 sept 2010 on that month i got only half month bill , but after that month airtel keep sending me bills , and when ever i try to complaint about this matter on airtel helpline number they disconnect my phone and don't give me reply of my complaint number which is 39160862 , i am user of airtel broadband since 2005 , airtel behaving like this to his old customer , i am now scared of airtel services , Sir am not in a mood to give any money for that connection. So please help me out.

Airtel — Forcing to accept their number

Dear sir

as my name is vijay kumar yadav and i had taken a number from the airtel the customer representative had made a plan for me for one year that has been passed now they have renewed my plan without informing me
and now they are asking me the money that you must have to pay

why should i pay for the service that i m not using it

really airtel is not doing good they are just forcing the customer to accept him not by own wish

Airtel/Bharati — Bill not sent for broadband after repeated complaints

I am very frustrated with the carelessness of Airtel. I've a broadband connection & every month i have to remind them to send me the bill. This is damn frustrating. I wonder how can a company not send the bills & expect the customer to pay. I registered for ebills which is easy to be sent. Still they would not & expect a timely payment
Any help!
This month again i've no bill (4 months in a row)

Airtel is known for this nonsense. It happened with me too at Chennai. Either their system of recording cancellation and acceptance of final bill payment is rubbish or they just want to loot. They sent me a note saying they will get my credit worthiness degraded or something like that. All the banks and credit card companies know about my credit worthiness as Ive always been a zero debt guy. Airtel is pathetic on this account.
Airtel not closing my account
I had request to close my Airtel post paid cell no and landline line in OCT end 2012.

This was done through a call to the Airtel BPO, who assured me that the account will be closed. Previously when I went to the
airtel store they said the only means of closing an account is through calling the Airtel BPO.

But Airtel after a gap of 3-4 months started sending me bills. WHich means they havnt yet closed my account
although the BPO guy had assured it will be closed.

Not sure why Airtel keeps on bothering people who wants to close their account. The process for closing is not streamlined, and after taking the request through the BPO, no action of closing out is done.

I have faced similar experience while closing out my Airtel post paid cell account.

Then they have some collection guy who threatens us with legal action for non payment.

While the amount isn't much, I would like Airtel to rectify their process and hence not ready to pay for one where I havent used their service

Can anyone advise what next steps i should take.
