Hi,
I had asked Airtel customer care to cancel my broadband line in the month of August as there was some technical issues and I couldn't use the connection that whole month. They said they will cancel it in 2 days but then another person from customer care calls me up and asks me to continue the connection and also said they will wave off that months bill. The caller was so persistent that I finally agreed but asked them to transfer the connection to my new location. The person said he will verify if the connection could be made to the new location but then he called again to inform that it is not feasible. I again asked him to cancel the line and they said they will do it in 2 days. Again another person from customer care calls up and asks me to continue the line for 3 months with the bill waved off. Finally after 3 months I am asked to pay an amount of Rs.3000. Today I got a call saying they are calling from the legal department and I need not pay 3000 but 2000 is enough. They kept on speaking as I said I didn't use the line and finally like a person who bargains in shop they reduced the amount from 2000 to 1500 and then to 1300. The person kept on saying that I will be given a no due certificate and I wont be getting any calls again. Finally I got irritated and said that I might even cancel my mobile number which is also Airtel. The person then replies that they themselves will disconnect my outgoing and incoming if I didn't pay the amount by noon. I said thanks and disconnected the call. Again I get a call from another number saying this is legal department. I replied saying I already got a call and disconnected the call. The person again calls up and starts scolding me saying absurd things. I disconnected the call again and blocked that number for now. These were the two number from which I got the call [protected] and [protected]. I don't know how Airtel people could go so low as to scold customers into paying unused bills. My airtel landline number is[protected] for which I am not able to call customer care and make a complaint since it says incorrect number. Was this information helpful? |
