I am a prepaid subscriber of Airtel in Bangalore. I use Nokia 1616 model. There have been multiple cases of activation of VAS though I have never sent any request for subscription/activation. Actually, SMS sending doesn't work on my phone. Therefore neither I can proactively subscribe nor unsubscribe.
First time when it was activated on my phone (a few months ago) I spoke to their customer care and charges were reversed & service was deactivated. Next time the service was de-activated but charges were not reversed (I was becoming a habitual offender!). This time I cannot even contact them without paying everytime I try to reach them.
Since the last few days I have been receiving film gossip messages. I tried twice today to speak to customer care. Each call was charged but I couldn't speak to anyone. I tried then 155223 as advised at Airtel website. Everytime I tried, it happily read out an error message after I keyed in my language selection.
Is this how Airtel operates now-a-days? Can I expect some sane response from Airtel?
