[Resolved]  Airtel — activation of duplicate sim

respected sir,
i am aspin using ur airtel prepaid connection for last three years with no:[protected]
this sim was damaged [now its on working condition not properly] i brought a duplicate sim from airtel office kollam[jerome nagar] they said me the sim was active after 4 hours [at the time 11 30 am] now the time is 6 30 pm the sim was not active,and the airtel exicutives insult me. so please do something fast as u possible

I have taken a duplicate sim for mobile number[protected] on 19.09.2008 from Airtel Shoe Room, Sector-12, Noida(U.P).There is Mr. Sanjay Whose No is [protected], he promised that the new sim will be activate within 4 hours but till now that sim is not activate.

AirTel — Didnt activate new SIM as per timescales given

One of the worst customer service providers are AIRTEL there have so ad's about how big they business is expanding but when it comes to serving customers there are the worst. Worst are the people who work for the company have no answers to queries and not ready to take any Ownership just believe in passing the blame very conveniently. I had taken a new connection and was told that it would be activated within 4 hours by the dealer since it was friday i gave it some time but when it was not done on saturday i had called the company and was told by the associate that it takes 24 working hours and since that time is not yet passed to wait untill that time frame.

Having waited for 24 working hours as of monday and no phone being activated, i called up customer care again and was told to wait before a complaint could be raised. Pathetic service being driven away rather then taking the blame and working on a resolution. Since i was leaving on a vacation i wanted the phone activated to carry it along with me. Called again and raised the complain was told that it would resolved with 48 working hours, still thought since i would be travellling when i actually arrive the phone would be activated by then. Called customer care again and asked for a supervisor who was fit for nothing Ms Sunitha rani, she spoke worse then the house keeping people that work at my office. No responsibilty no ownership nothing typical goverment working indian service. All that she asked me to do was wait untill the service failure would be resolved. She promised me a call back from her supervisor its been 15 days now and am still waiting.

The phone was finally activated on the following week friday, failing there so called service failures that were raised, however with airtel the suprises still continued when i was called and was told that the phone was activated the very next itself.

I sincerely request you people not to take any dealings with this company. You will be royally fooled.
I am purchased Airtel Sim at Howrah at 9.30 P.M, Today 19.09.2009 above sim card vide No. [protected] not yet activated till time at 3.00 P.M . Pls see the above No, and activate as soon as poosible .

I am an Airtel mobile subscriber. I had lost my mobile on 13 Jul 10 and applied for a duplicate SIM - as per the procedure - in the evening at around[protected]h. I was told that it would be activated within 12 hrs. However, even today - 14 Jul 10 at 1000h it is still inactive. It is hampering my operations significantly. On checking with your helpline, I have been told that it will now be activated by 1200h on 16 Jul 10. My complaint no for today is 33143802. I hope the executive concerned is held accountable and taken to task for this poor service since this is not expected from a company like Airtel in this competitive market. Also, can the activation be expedited please? Could u please let em know the disposal/status at my email id '[protected]@gmail.com' ? Hoping for an early disposal and reply.
I am a airtel customer and i have many complaints on airtel
1: no network is there in villages
2: airtel offices are not available nearby
3: cant tell complaints to customer care executives as they did not attend call
I am Jose Mathews working in SBI and am being using airtel connection since 2006. Two days back I received an sms offering me airtel to airtel calls @ paise 10 per minute and i recharged with the required Rs 80 ec. That night I could call airtel @ ps 10 but from next day onwards all calls are charged paise 60 per call per minute which earlier was paise 50 only. I have called 121 and talked with the customer care executives different times and finally i received a reply sms referring a number CBNRA[protected] -may be a complaint number. Since no remedy is made till now even though the executive offered me to clear the complaint before 15/9/2011 12.45 pm, i tried to contact the executive through 121 number but my calls are not forwarded to customer care executives now. We, a group of prayer group members use airtel and i took the offer to have our evening group prayer through phone. Kindly look into the matter urgent and enable me the offer at the earliest and for the offered period.
