[Resolved]  Airtel Mumbai — Customer care and service

I have been having an airtel connection since the last 5 years and always thought that airtel was the best. What I did not know was that it is the best only so long as it is working. If there is a problem, dealing with the dumb customer care execs and the gallery is a royal pain.
Last month I lost my phone and lodged a complaint to block the card. It was done in a reasonable time. Now, the problem to get a new card and reactivate. I had to go to Airtel gallery to submit an application. I did this at Ghatkopar and was told that the service would start in 4 hours. The 4 hours became 24 hours and after hanging on to the helpline like for ever, without any result, I had to again go to the gallery. After another assurance, I returned and still no signs of it starting. Once more I trooped to the gallery and this time, I refused to leave till he ensures it starts. So, finally it does, Thank God!
Now, starts the next problem. Since it was being used by my son who is now a major, I wanted to get the billing done in his name. I was asked to give so many details and after all this, was given a reference number. Again the follow up starts and I am assured that it will be done within 7 days, 10 days... All the while, there is not a single call from their side, asking for additional info, papers etc. After a month, no change in the name and on following up now, I understand that the service record has vanished and again I have to start the procedure all over again and submit the required papers. IS THIS SERVICE???

I was using Airtel service since 2003 in Mumbai. and because poor connectivity & service, discontinued their service. Sent email to them several times and called the call center for the refund of the security money (Rs. 6000/- + ) for international roaming & higher credit limit which I had deposited at their service center earlier - now, they are not even having a curtsy to call back or reply back or refund! Airtel seems truly pathetic to me now though I was having a good impression about them.
now I switched to other service provider and really enjoying the good service including blackberry service.
Just thought of sharing this in this forum.

I always face the problem for airtel recharge balance.

Without informing me they always deduct my balance.

Please let me know why this thing happen always

We alway call to customer care, they refuse to take the call.

I never get the response properly.

Without informing me they always deducte the caller tune charges, which is not aceptable from my end.

I have registered with your post paid connection since last 1 year.
My cell no is [protected], payment paid from Oct 10/2013 and same time ask me Netra your airtel Employee.my airtel connection Deactive but still date my cell no Active and your Employee. every time Call for me my outstanding amount pending ...

I recharge my mobile with Rs. 275 Yesterday but recharge have not done. also i am unable to call custoer care no. because of call barring
