[Resolved]  Airtel — Poor Customer Service and Number Portability Issues

This with regard to the poor and harassing mobile services given by Airtel to their customers. I am associated with Airtel for quite a long time and have gone through lots of inconvenience with them from the past 4 to 5 months. In the month of October, 2011 I was given an offer by Airtel Sales team based in New Delhi that I will get Rs. 599/- Blackberry Plan in 50% off for the life time and I agreed to it but after 2 months I was started getting charged Rs. 599/- monthly for my Blackberry services. I contacted the Airtel customer service department who informed me that the offer was valid only for 2 months and when that I informed them that I was given this offer by their own sales team based in New Delhi, they said it was a wrong commitment given to me. Now I want to know how can customers being a wrong commitment like this by the sales team of Airtel?

I complained it on [protected]@in.airtel.com but every time I send them an email I just get an automated reply saying we have received your email and we will get back to you in 2 to 3 days but nobody reciprocate on the mentioned date and ultimately I have to follow-up with them. Afterwhich, I complained it to nodalofficer.[protected]@in.airtel.com but they also did not reciprocate properly and offered me some few rupees discount which is nothing in front of their wrong commitments and cheating which they do with their customers.

After seeing these kinds of poor customer service and the harassment which I have gone through with Airtel, I decided to port my number and get associated with Vodafone. I sent message on 1900 and I received my Unique Porting ID on 17th February, 2012 from 1901 and I have already submitted my documents to Vodafone for the same but Airtel number portability team (names-Nilesh Sindrekar and Anjali Bhople) and retention team (name-Aparna) are continuously calling and asking me the same questions again and again that "why I am leaving Airtel" and inspite of giving/telling them the reasons they just reply that we will forward your request and my number will be ported to Vodafone but still nothing is done. Also all my bills are cleared with them and as on date there is no due pending in my Airtel account. I have even checked with Vodafone team also and they said Airtel is not releasing my number from their end and now Airtel has stopped both my services i.e. Voice and Blackberry.

They are purposely harassing the customers so that the Unique Porting ID get expired as they delay the porting request and the customer is not able to port to the other mobile service provider resulting the customers don’t have any choice but to stay with Airtel as they need their services very much active and this has been done with many of the customers who are/were with Airtel.

I request the Indian Consumer Complaints Forum to help in porting my number to Vodafone.

Bharti Airtel — over charging/number portability

my name is atit bhatt,mob no-[protected].

air tel is always over charging me for the services i don't ask even.

i had requested number on 5th Feb 2011 from air tel to reliance.but air tel did not proceed on the request.don't why.every time i call them they always give me different-different reason for refusal of request.

Airtel — Portability not working properly

Hi,
this is sandeep kumar.
my mobile no is +91-[protected].
initially it was using reliance service, but due to some reason i have changed my service provider as Airtel in the last week of april.
but i was contineously unsatisfied with airtel as there are some problrm that are not resolved from airtel.
problems are as...
1) after the change service provier as airtel around 1 month before, advertising call and messages from reliance are coming daily on my this no.
2) as some of no doing call on my no the message be passed as "No does not Exists"

i have given complain number of times to airtel customer care but many time they miss guide me as giving wrong complain no, and cheated me with comited to resolve problem with in some days .

one of complain no as i have is[protected] and [protected], also didnt respond yet.
