[Resolved]  Airtel — Refund Required

Subject: Refund Required.

Respected Sir / Madam,

This is an existing customer of Airtel DTH who until recently had all the trust on its products & services.

Few months ago, on 6th of November 2010, I called its customer care[protected] and showed my interest in getting an Airtel HD-Digital Video Recorder installed at my residence. Later in the day, I got a call from Ms. Madhavi ([protected], +[protected] who confirmed my booking and informed me that on Monday (8th November 2010) an Airtel representative will come to my place to collect the sum of Rupees 5490/-, the price of the product.

On the above mentioned date, someone called 'Govind' from Shell Transource (Airtel) came to collect cash and gave me a receipt of the same. It (Receipt) clearly stated ‘HD-DVR’ on it.
Within a week, on 14th November 2010, the set-top box was installed & unaware of the fact, that it’s just a ‘DVR’ and NOT ‘HD’, I started using it.

Recently, after watching an advertisement of another DTH Operator (Tata Sky Plus HD) and some inquiry done from my end, I discovered that I’ve been CHEATED by Airtel Team as the company doesn’t even have an HD-DVR to sell. It’s just a DVR that can be connected with an HDMI Cable. Therefore, its 576 SD & not in 1080 HD resolution. Moreover, right now there are only two DTH Operators in the market who provide HD-DVR – Tata Sky & Reliance Digital TV.

This is disregarding a customer’s faith, his belief in the company and the brand in totality. All I need is a refund now.

As a proof, I have sent the receipt (Attached Photo) and all the connected exchange of e-mails that occurred during my purchase of the product to their customer care (twice) and even posted the same complaint letter (with Receipt’s copy enclosed) to the nodal office of Airtel DTH via courier.
Didn’t receive any reply from either one of them.

Please do the needful & oblige.

My consumer ID is [protected] and the transaction No.is 13915857 for installation of Airtel DTH with HD set of box. I paid Rs. 2514 on[protected]. I contacted your customer care office [protected] as many times as possible but to no avail. The amount was paid online through SBI card. My son V. Mahesh Kumar booked for installation and left abroad.Your customer care office( Mr. V. Gridhar, Ms Rani, Ms. Kokila, Mr. Ashis, Mr. Kiran and Ms. Indu) made tall promise to satisfy me but doing nothing. as follow up action
Even at the very begining your office behaves in a callous way. Please arrange to send my money back

As expected, all you can provide is a copy-paste reply to all my complaints.

Almost a month ago, After a telephonic conversation with Mr. Arun, I mailed all the much-needed details (as if you didn't have them before) to [protected]@airtel.in.
Not so surprisingly, My complaint has not been resolved yet.

As of now, Airtel must be well versed that my complaint is accurate and all the proofs are genuine.

Henceforth, since Airtel doesn't have the policy to refund money (Earned through cheating or not), they have stopped entertaining me and have started ignoring since its the last resort left for them.

There he goes again.. Mr. Rakesh Ranga, your over smartness is not going to work with me.

As I said above, Airtel is well aware of the fact that my complaint is accurate and all the proofs are genuine. So the only last and final resort (Read Gimmick) you people came up with is this - Your complaint has been resolved. Well how come? Without even contacting me?? Shame on you and the entire Airtel Team involved. Huge chunk of liars you all are!

My appeal to all who are reading this - NEVER EVER EVEN THINK OF BUYING AN AIRTEL DTH CONNECTION! ELSE YOU'LL REGRET AND COMPLAINT THROUGHOUT.. (Just like me)

In addition to that, There Call Centre is the worst you'll ever come across. Ready to cheat and mislead you in every possible way!

I know I have a legal battle to fight since they are not going to listen this way.
