Hi,
My Airtell Number is [protected]. I travelled out of country and had a high usage during this period.
I have maid the payment for my Airtel Bill amount due as discussed with the Airtel executive and also got a confirmation E Mail for the same.
After making the payment now I am being told that the number has been permanently disconnected due to non payment of amount due.
The point that needs to be noted is that I got a call on Jan 8,2013 and made the entire payment on same day.but services to my number were permanently disconnected on Jan 19,2013 i.e. 11 days after receipt of payment.
Now I am getting a reply that this number , that i am using for last 10 years, cannot be alloted to me again.
I have never defaulted in any payment in the last 10 years and also made the payment due as required.
My simple question is why was the number disconnected even after receipt of payment. This is the worst customer serv ice I have seen and Airtel simply keeps on repeating that the number has been disconnected due to non receipt of payment whereas this is not true.
Please tell me if I can raise this issue at a Consume court or write to somebody else for a resolution as Airtel only has a fixed answer everytime I write to them.
