[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — Disconnection of Prepaid Service without Valid Reason and without any Warning of Cell Number:[protected]

1. I am a class one gazetted officer of the Indian Air Force. On getting posted to Air Foce Academy, Dundigal, Hyderabad, I purchased a prepaid Airtel sim no: [protected] from a retailer in the campus on 31st Dec 09.

2. I had gone for an important official duty to Coimbatore from 09th Jan 10 to 31 st Jan 10. On 15th Jan 10 my sim got deactivated without any warning like sms or a call from the customer care. Neither could i call anyone nor could i call up the customer care as to what has happened.

3. On finding out the reason for the deactivation from the retailer who had provided the sim to me, he informed that probably the airtel office has rejected the application form stating that the photo I had submitted is not valid.

4. On returning back to Hyderabad, I approached the Airtel Headoffice at Hyderabad and was directed to contact the airtel area manager of my locality for help. On contacting the area manager Mr Vinay, he refused to help me to get my phone activated nor did he get the balance in my mobile, paid back to me.

5. Upon my asking to get my documents pulled out for verification and to find out as to why have they rejected my application, Mr Vinay(Area Manager Airtel) refused to get them from the headoffice of airtel and show them to me.

6. As I mentioned, I am a class one gazetted offiecer of the Indian Air Force and had provided all the necessary documents as asked for with the application. These documents included my photograph in uniform, xerox of my driving license with photograph in uniform and the certificate of my residential address at the place of my posting attested by the Adjutant.

7. Firstly I would like to know first of all as to why have the airtel office has rejected my application stating that my photograph is not valid. And if they have rejected my application why havent they informed me by an sms or a call for the reason of my sim's deactivation.

8. Thirdly, why i am not been shown my own documents with the coments of the Airtel official who has rejected my application.

9. And lastly, the airtel area manager (Mr Vinay) is here for the customer's help and not to harrass them by stating that "If you want to verify your documents, then please get them yourself from the headoffice located at Warangal."

Airtel — Service got deactivated without any reason

Hi,
Airtel all of sudden deactivated my services to the number [protected] on 15th oct at arround 9 PM. I called airtell customer services and they gave me an answer that they do not know what is the reason. The customer care executive Shradha said it would get activated in next four hours. Whole nigh i kept on trying and it did not happen. In morning at 8 AM a again called customer service and agin i was told the same story but nothing happened.

I cannot call anywhere and have to call from PCO or from my office to customer care as my number is deactivated.

No reason has been provided to me for the deactivation of the services.

Airtel India — Connection Deactivation, without proper reasons

My mobile connection number [protected] was deactivated on 9th january 2009 on the grounds on documents not sumbmitted, though i had already submitted my complete documents when i had taken the connection( 3rd january2009). on quering at customer relationship office kondhwa i was told that company has changed that format and so i have to fill the form again, i did the same and was assured that my connection will start on monday evening, but on monday when i inquired I was told that the person who takes the forms has forgotten to take my form and so because of this my connection will be activated on tuesday.
I am suffering because of the their negligence. This type of things are not expected from Airtel. Plz Help.
I got my Airtel CUG number([protected]) on 19th Dec, 2008. It got activated on 21st Dec and on 27th Dec all outgoing calls were blocked. Why? Because my address verification was not done as I was not at home when the verification person arrived. After that, I've made innumberable calls to the customer care in Pune to send the Verification person again. At first they told me to go to the nearest Airtel center to submit the documents which when I did go to turned very dissappointing. I was told they cant help me with this and only the customer care can. The customer tells me the other way round. Also I requested for a soft copy of my billed amount which was not sent. I must say, the carelessness with which the customer care has handled my account is astonishing. I never expected this of Airtel and after being a loyal customer for long I will actively dissuade my friends not to buy Airtel. My problem is still not resolved and my security money of 500 is still stuck with them. A highly incompetent workforce.

Airtel Prepaid Connection — Deactivation of number without any valid reason

Airtel disconnected my number-[protected] saying that i had not credited my phone within 90 days and there were no incoming or outgoing calls made to the number.
These claims were false and i want them to check their database for the same.

Airtel — My No. got deactivated without any warning

i have got a Air tel Prepaid connection 2 years back, and it was working fine till 15/05/2012 but now it is showing invalid Sim. we talk to Air tel and they said that your connection is closed because it is not used for long time but i have used my no. even on international roaming last in march 2012.
my question is that what the right they have to close my connection without ant warning or ultimatum?
As i have submitted my identity proof during connection so isn't it my identity now? so how can they closed my connection.
i want to go to court to sue Air tel for closing my connection. so please advise me what kind of documents are required to file a complaint?
