[Resolved]  Airtel — problem with Safe custody

Dear Airtel,

I am writing this complaint regarding the problem I faced with Airtel postpaid connection.

8 months back I went to France by keeping my Airtel postpaid number on Safe custody. At that time Airtel customer care people told me that I can choose 100 rs per month plan,to keep my number on safe custody for longer period.
They confirmed that my number will be kept under Safe custody until I request for the activation. Below I pasted the communication from them.

"As per the Unique Service Request number45644223, we would like to inform you
that your number is under Safe Custody with effect from[protected].

We would like to inform you that there is an onetime charge of Rs.100/- during
the period of Safe Custody service and this service can be used for a maximum
period of 30 days and after 30 days it will be auto renewed till you request
for deactivation of safe custody"

I came back day before yesterday and when I called customer care they told me my number is permanently disconnected. And they asked me to visit any of the airtel service center and pay 49 Rs for the sim, to assign the number back to me.

But when I go to airtel service center - Gandhi Bazar. Contact Person(Mr santhosh) , Asked me to pay Rs 449 as deposit(which I am ok). In addition to that he is saying that I have to pay about 15K to get that number (as my number is ending with three zeroes).

I am totally out shocked by his reply. When i tried to explain the problem, his reply was it is not his responsibility and it was the mistake by someone else in Airtel. And no one can resolve that.

I am a corporate customer using that number from more than 5 years. Until now I had very good relationship with airtel. And I was extremely happy with the services provide by Airtel and was thinking Airtel is the best service provider across india.

With the instance happened yesrerday. I am totally dis-satisfied with the service provided by Airtel service center - Gandhi bazar.

I spoke to Customer care again, They said they will take forward. I am not sure whether it will happen or not. Until now I have not got any reply from them.

Can you kindly check my complaint.

My disconnected airtel number is : [protected]
My last payment was through online transaction, I paid through my credit card. I think around 400 rs I left in my account. And i have paid all my bills everything on time without a miss.
My alternate contact number :[protected]

All my bank transaction, clients contacts everything is on this number. This number is really important to me.

One of your. Employe lie to me. Because he. Is mking moeny through. Airtel he is working at. Airtel office nangal. I told him to put my numbr in. Safe custody and he. Took from me 150. Rs. And he said. Sir. Your nunbr is safe. For. 90 days i said ok but. After. 1 montb i got. Another bill chk and i went to. Airtel his office. I mean. Sme office. Thn. He said sorry. Your numbr. Is not in safe custody. And. Now you have to pay. Your bill even u did nt use. Any data plan. Or. Any cal but he said u have to. Bil your pay. And i ask him why u did not call me. If my numbr was in not safe custody. He lie to me and he said we inform u taht. Allready i said no. No one inform me. That. I have. Not got any msg from your airtel nd u guys. This happend. Today with me 28/Dec/2018 plz help me. How i can put my numr i. Safe. Custody. And i want sour. My numbr is in safe custody and. I can use. Whenevrr i want. After. The safe custody.
