I am using Airtel number for last four years. I have also GPRS Connectivity. Regarding some GPRS issue i called to airtel customer care number 12118. That time their customer care representative told me to call from another number so they can check the problem. Then i tried to call from my friend number. i got a voice message that this call will be chargeable. This information is really shocking because i haven't get any message or mail from airtel that call to customer care is chargeable. If i tried from my number, this voice recorder is not there. it is connecting directly. Customer care is for assisting the the customer.not for making money centre. Bharti airtel exploting this service and making money out of this. Airtel have more 20 lakhs customer in allover india. if 20 lakhs people will called ontime in a month they will get a money 2000000 X .50 ps = Rs1000000/- apporx. without any effort. They charging money from the customers due to their problems. Why we should pay for getting their service. Please take this complaint as a serious issue and resolve ASAP. Why do you need contact details? the above customer complaint is not just concerning one person. It is a duty of Service Provider to give TOLL FREE customer service. It seems airtel is playing with TRAI rules.
I sincerely wish TRAI should act strongly not just by STOPPING such charges, but also recovering all this money and should impose a hefty fine...!!!
