[Resolved]  Atm Card — NON DISBURSEMENT OF CASH FROM ICICI BANK ATM

I have my account with Brij Vihar, Ghaziabad Branch of Punjab National Bank. My Account number is [protected] and Customer number is[protected].
On 7th October, 2009 during use of my ATM card at ICICI Bank ATM (ATM ID No. S1CW3780), the transaction was declined; however Rs.5000/- was debited from my account. Thereafter, I lodged a complaint with PNB call centre vide complaint number 20522534 on 7th October, 2009.
I had also put up this matter before the PNB branch and have submitted application in the branch along with the copies of Transaction Slips stating "Tansaction declined". I further confirmed the status of my complaint from PNB Complaint cell and I got a reply that “Claim rejected by other bank, i.e. ICICI Bank”.
Since, I have adequate proof that the transaction was declined and have submitted the same to the branch as well. Still the other bank(ICICI bank) is rejecting my claim, then the burden of proof lies on ICICI bank to prove that any money was received by me.

As per hon'able Supreme Court if any money is wrongly debited in an ATM transaction that has been declined then the moneys debited shall be credited back into the customers account within 45 days. Rather than doing this ICICI bank is rejecting my claim. I would say that Either of the Banks in question is eating up my money.
I request the Consumer court to get me my money back.

PNB — Non receipt of cash and complaint not got registered

I am a account holder of PNB, New Chakeri (HAL Extn. Counter) Kanpur with account no. [protected]. I used pnb atm to withdraw cash of Rs. 2500/- on 1411/2009 at around 1230 Hrs from Syndicate Bank, hdfc bank and icici atms but due to network problem ( at pnb on that day)
i did't get cash. When i checked my account details in the evening on the same day my account got debited by Rs.2500/-.
I immediately made a call to PNB Customer Care ([protected]) to register a complaint regarding this issue,they suggested me to wait for 24 Hrs. I again made a call on 15/11/2009 to the same no. they suggested me to contact bank first on the working day which was 16/11/2009 (Monday). Then i went to branch on 16/11/2009 to register the complaint but they told me to contact only customer care to resolve this type of issue. Again made a call to customer care of PNB on 16/11/2009 at around 1245 Hrs. then they register my complaint and given a complaint no. 285349 and assured me that the amount will get credited within next 12 days.
Now today on 23/11/2009 when i made a call to customer care to know the staus of my complaint, i was shocked by knowing the fact that my complaint was not got registered on 16/11/2009 and the complaint no. given is not a valid complaint Number. This is truely an unprofessional behaviour of the bank. I was sure that my money will be credidet to my account but today i came to know to that the bank is cheating me from last seven days.
Today again a lodged a complaint regarding this issue with a complaint no. 22135628 given by cusomer care executive namely Mr. Varunesh. I don't know this complaint no. is valid or not.
Should i not count 12 days from the date i registred the complaint first time on 16/11/2009.
Kindly look into the matter. Call details of my cell no. can be retrieved from operator with permission if necessary.

This is serious complaint that inspite of banking ombudsman direcitons private banks are discourging PSU banks customre for not using their ATM services. I am a customer of PNB, Dev Nagar, living in Sector-16 Rohini, there only private banks ATM are located near to my house such as ICICI bank, AXIS , PNB do not have any ATM in sector 16, Rohini, I have more than 03 instances when I made a transaction in ICICI bank ATM and could not receive cash whereas cash was deducted from my account. recently on 09/12/2009 i used atm no. S1AN0553 ICICI bank and try to withdraw 4000/-, but I got shocked that it shows message' network disturbanc' but Rs. 4000/- was debited from my a/c and no reciept issued. When I again chek the balance Rs. 4000/- was debited vide Txn no. 457. I was really angry over this act of the bank I think they set their machines not to recongize others banks ATM cards( preferbly PSU bank. There are many instances such like me, this bank must be taught a lesson by banking authorities. Can this forum take this complaint to concerned authority.Thanks.
I Agree but i would like to inform you that : Money will be credited in your account with in a week but you must register the complaint.
