[Resolved]  Singapore Airlines — Baggage lock broken and theft of precious items

Singapore Airlines has harressed and cheated myself. My baggage lock was broken and precious Items like Camers, Mobile & others were stolen. I complained for the same immediately but their customer agents supported myself saying they shall take care of my losses and ensured that I don't file the FIR against them.

After 2 weeks, their representative calls me and tells that your claim gets rejected keeping in mind IATA rules and they shall reimburse based on missed baggage weight i.e. 3 KG @ $20. I was completely shocked to hear out of them since those persons has misguided me. I could have leave my baggage at the counter and asked for FIR first then they would have settle my claims.

I travelled first time by Singapore airlines but no where I was asked to declare my accessories. I am completely helpless since they have already taken my luggage receipt, my boarding passes & other bills.

I request Indian Consumers to kindly taken immediate & strict action against Singapore Airlines since they have left their customer in dark.Please refer below e-mail for further details

Dear Madam,

I would like to draw your kind attention towards the Theft of my precious Items on 12/05/09 held in your Esteem Airline. It was a magnitude to travel through Singapore Airlines when I started my Business Trip on 09/05/09 to Jakarta. I was carrying my LAPTOP and business notes with me and rest all I got checked in during my returned journey. When I reached Delhi Airport, my whole view got changed and I was completely shocked as I came to know that my baggage lock has been broken and unforgettable moments in Indonesia & Singapore have been stolen.

Whatever love, affection & joy, I purchased for my wife; 1.5 years old daughter & other family members and my precious accessories had been stolen. For you, it would only be a small Irregularity but it had hurt me a lot and really I don’t have words to explain further……..

I request Singapore Airlines to strictly look into the same and search for my precious Items (As per declaration) within 3 days. I have not filled the FIR based on your words & support only. I thank you & your Team for the kind cooperation and support provided when I was feeling helpless. In hope of the positive response from your side...

Luggage — my suitcase theft

on12-5-09 I wastravelling via sarnath expresscoming fromAllahabad to Raipur in second A.C coach A1 and birth no.29 and my suitcase was stolen.I lossed my sonyvaio laptopwith calculator and mobile charger etc. I filed my complaint at Raipur G.R.P thana on 13-5-09 with F.I.R no.43/09and to station master Raipur on 14-5-09.MYphone no .[protected] NOaction was taken against coach attendant for unauthorised entryof thief in secondA.Cand I my suitcase was not found - AKASH VERMA-71vivekanand nagar Raipur-C.G.

Luggage — Theft of luggage

My father-in-law ,70 years old, was about to travel by mumbai mail at 10:30 PM from chennai central to manthralayam road yesterday(12/08/2010). He was waiting for the train to come. A man aged 45 years(approx), posing as a co-passenger approached him to cofirm about the platform. As the train arrived at the platform, he offered help to board the train. Suddenly he vanished with the bag of my father-in-law. Debit cards of ICICI bank, and SBI were kept inside the bag. A hearing aid costing 15000/- was also there. Concerned authorities may please take steps to nab the thief. My contact number and e-mail Id is as given below.

suitcase — theft

I was travelling from Lalkuan to Lucknow by Nainital Express in coach no.S3 on 17/4/11 .My suitcase which is of grey colour of Valice(company) was stolen in between Pantnagar and Pilibhit around 10-12 pm.Suitcase contains clothes and some cash.please register my complaint and do the needful.My contact no. is 2328689,[protected].ADDRESS- B-1/2 Sector D Aliganj,Lucknow,UP.
