[Resolved]  Bharti Airtel Broadband — WRONG INFORMATION & RUDE CUSTOMER CARE

This is Manickam from Bangalore.
I booked an Airtel broadband connection on 19.09.09 (Saturday). The plan details are
ONE AIRTEL VALUE COMBO 749, 2 Mbps, 4 GB. The SEF NO is TBLR 017836. I paid 3 months bill in advance Rs.2250 for free installation and additional Rs.50 against affidavit.

Previously I had some technical problems in getting Airtel connection at my residence, so when the Airtel representative came I informed him about that. I asked him to check the feasibility and then collect the money. He came with a technical person and they checked and informed me that it is possible to give the connection. The promised date to give the connection after filling the form is 2 days period i.e 21.09.09 (Monday). Monday when I called him he was not picking the call. After three days when I called Customer care they said it will take 4 working days to give the connection. When I called after 6 days the customer care representative said it will take 7 working days to give the connection. All this period when I tried to call the sales guy he never answered the call and doesn’t have the courtesy to reply my messages. When I called his office number, the receptionist could not give me an proper answer and also disconnected my line.

Finally I planned to visit them at their own office. The office address is

I could not locate the office because the visiting card which the sales guy gave me was much older and they have shifted to a new place. Atlast I managed to locate their office in a different place and met their manager. He checked the status of my connection and said he cannot give 2 mbps because of technical problems and the connection will be immediately activated if I accept to a different plan which is 256 kbps, 8 GB, Rs.749. After I accepted the new plan, he spoke to technical guy, sales guy etc and promised me to give the connection on 28.09.09 (Monday).

Until now (30.09.09, Wednesday) no one turned up and the connection is not yet given.
Now both the Manager and sales guy is not answering my call. When I called customer care yesterday he told very clearly the connection can’t be given because tag is not available. He also mentioned very clearly just to book the connection they have given false information to me. I have raised a complain and the number is 24871036. I have recorded what ever he told about the Radix Solutions.

I’m working for a portal where the entire job is online. They made me to wait for almost 13 days for a connection which is not at all possible .I made so many calls to customer care, sales executive, manager etc. They totally tortured me for the past few days and all my business was gone without the net connection.

Airtel Broadband — giving wrong information and confuse consumer

I am using Airtel boradband with 780 unlimited pack with 128 kbps speed on my company name from last two years. And I came to know that TRAI release an order to all broadband (if the company say broadband connection) companies to provide minimum 256 kbps speed. But when i asked them to give me actual speed as per trai norms they told me so many stories like, ur connection is commercial, ur connection is not broadband, ur plan was booked as residential plan etc. etc. At Airtel website they mention cheap broadband plans but they don, t mentioned that which is commercial and which is residental. They are refusing to change my plan. Plz suggest me is I am eligible to file case against them.

Sir,

I booke for Airtel Internet services on 3rd MAy 2009 by paying the amount 1500 INR to Airtel Sr.Officer Mr.Khemraj( Form No.1774331).

Till this date niether my connection has not been activated nor my money refunded.Please address this complaint as soon as poissible.

If failing to do so I may be forced to go to consumer court as this problem streched beyond all limits(From May to July).

I have taken Airtel connection no. [protected] from 13-8-05 since the launch of Airtel in 2005 in Lucknow, we have been given GOLD NEW PLAN with the promise that we will get very high speed in internet but in use it was so normal we were not satisfied, it was so normal as BSNL NETONE, After some time Airtel Mktg. Executive Zeeshan Khalid visited us & promised us to migrate our plan into SPEED PLUS COMBO at 256 kbps (unlimited )broadband speed on Rs. 500/- charges . we changed the plan accordingly, Mr. Zeeshan have filled the form and given us Tarrif plan chart which shows Rs. 500/- for 256 speed, , but when we received bill it was for TOP UP plan again I have been cheated by mktg, executive . we have complaint for the same & Airtel Rishab Jain ([protected]) visited our office & received complaint letter on 21-12-05 .mr. Jain have also said that he will correct our plan, but it was not corrected again Airtel Ajay Dubey have visited our office and received complaint letter on 8-2-06, we have been informed that I will get speed 256 kbps @ 699 pm, I have accepted this since june 2006 than you have been charged Rs. 699/- +taxes but I have been cheated by Airtel marketing man again and again . Now I have come to know that we have been given 128 kbps speed
we are shocked to know that Airtel is selling plan in market for Rs. 599 with 128 kbps
speed & 100 calls free & they are charging to me Rs.699 with 128 kbps speed without any calls free,
whereas there is no such as 699 tarrif plan Airtel are selling .we feel cheated
by AIrtel I have complaint 3 times but Airtel not correcting speed 256 kpbs & adjusting my excess payment chared in 3 years
This is the third time it has happenned. Broad Band bill has not been delivered and out line blosked despite payment made immediately on telephonic intimation.But not without your customer care officials always insistent on confirmation of poayment made from the account/bank. Currently it has happenned for the bill for Sept./Oct for which details of cheque already cleared from my account on 30th Oct was made available to one Sh. Bharat Arya on customer care number today ( 05.11.2009 ).
But he retorted that the connection has been blocked as my account has not been updated for the payment. I wish I could also work for you ( of course honourary ) to also update payments made in my accounts or to improve the quality of service in customer care as also the communication access net work. There is now too often a noise/disturbance in the connection. You senior Executives need to visit the area ( Sarita Vihar )to see for themselves the detriorated quality of net work. Wires are loosely hanging all over in the lanes/back lanes of the colony. In such a situation quality of communication of such a net work can be very well imagined. Is this the " UNTOLD STORY " of BHARATI AIRTEL.
Pleas take deemed corrective steps to keep to keep going Untold Story of NO. 1 NET WORK of INDIA.
I do expect a word in acknoledgement lest this is also lined up in unresolved issues and need arises to post it for personal attention of your TOP MANAGEMENT.

Dear Team,

I have given a new application for Airtel Broad band on 3rd March 2011 and already its completed 3 working days also, but till now none of the teamk from airtel approachged me when i called the agent who took the application he is said that nothing in his hand its all about the company service.But when he took the deposit he promised me that with in one day he will give the connection .Now iam giving 24 hrs to resolve my issue if not i want to esclate to SR Managers(Sanjay Kapoor)

WORST customer care ever ! When you want a new connection, Airtel dealers line up outside your house like ants but the minute you have a problem with that same connection, there is literally no one that cares about helping you..I'm so tired of calling the customer care over and over again and listening to their "it will be resolved in 24 hours" ...I have filed atleast 6 complaints about my broadband connection and its been over a month, still no help or solution! I'm not one to vent on public forums but their customer care is so unacceptable and useless, I highly recommend people look at other service providers if they have a choice.
