[Resolved] Bharti Airtel Limited — Existing land line was not shifted for the reason that no vacant lines but a new connection was given by taking Rs. 1500/- | |||
I have been writing to Airtel for a remedy for a transfer of line and running to various people and talking to various for no solution for the past ONE MONTH. In between Airtel has chosen to slash a un logical and wrong bill on me with reminders there on to pay. While the request for termination of line was given on 17 th April Bill for the period till 25 th April was sent. The Problem statement : I have requested for the transfer of telephone on 17 th April and after a various follow up found that they will not transfer as the capacity has exceeded the limit in the area to where the line was to be shifted. Then I, asked them to take back the line / surrender the line & while that was under process and in the mean while Airtel has send me a bill for whole month - failing to explain me as why I should I pay for this bill. To my surprise one sales executive visited me & said that he can offer me a fresh line and a new line was connected with a fresh number 42612382. I am not sure how on earth without giving priority to the old customers for a transfer a new line can be given. Is it that Airtel is interested in selling these lines at 1500 INR as I paid to the executive. Normally it use to be NIL advance payment and they are encashing us because we have started using their services. Ironically both the lines are in my name. Please let me know why I should not go and seek remedy under the shelter and umbrella of Consumer protection cell. Prayers : 1. Please transfer the old line of 4301659 to my new address with the same features 2. Please cancel the wrong bill issued to me and issue me a correct bill up till 17 th April 3. Please refund the deposit paid by me Rs 1500/- on the new line 42612382 4. Please cancel the new line 42612382 once the old line is trfd to my new address. Below are the list of communications sent by me : 5. Compliant No Nature of compliant / Request Remarks 6. 31694044 Dt 17/04/2010 As we have shifted our residence we have requested for the transfer of telephone to the new address The complaint was wrongly noted by your staff as Internet not working. 7. 137001 Dt 19/04/2010 Again remained for the transfer of telephone to the new address Understood from the over phone that it is not possible to shift the phone and requested termination of line . 8. 3185030 Dt 23 /04/ 2010 Again remained over phone for either to terminate / shifting of telephone No proper response was received 9. 429175/ 04.05.10 Requested for cancellation of wrong bill issued as the line was to be terminated from 17 th April . No proper response was received 10. 32437052 / Dt 07/05/10 Again requested for cancellation of the wrong raised and requested for a fresh bill to pay People said that it will be handled in the final settlement. Also said someone will come to pick up the phone instrument and nobody has come so far. 11. Other Mails written : On 26 th April 2010 with the same request On 27 th April 2010 with the same request On 28 th April 2010 with the same request On 29 th April 2010 with the same request Even written to Nodal and appellate.
