[Resolved]  BSNL Broadband — Error 678

BSNL — Broad band service is not activated since 17th Sept inspite of numerous requests and complains

With my request broadband was installed in my plave on the 17th Sept. It was supposed to be activated within 24 hrs. After several requests, it was partially activated on the 26th Sept. Till this day( 30th Sept) it is not working. Numerous compalins has been lodged. Each time, the agent says that they are sending a person to check the problem physically. I had taken off from my office to attend the said person with no result. In this age of precious value of time and energy, how can a Govt's service in such an essential dept be so reluctant to the customers. I would like to rais this complain to the highest level.
To save my profession and as a senior citizen, I have been offered from other service agencies to provide me broadband service within a couple of hrs with full functioning.
Shouldnt I go for the second choice and demand a compensation to BSNL for the loss of my time ?

Calcutta Telephones-BSNL Broadband — 678 error throughout the day

I had been using 250 Home Plan under Dataone Broadband Servce to my Broadband Line No. 25319858 under Calcutta Telephones/BSNL. And knowing fully well that this falls under emergency service, I have been getting error code No. 678 throughout today, being Sunday, 12 April 2009. I have lodged complaints to the authorities wherever possible but to no remedial measures. have recently shifted to 500 Plan with unlimited download facility as advertised by Calcutta Telephones/BSNL.

Then why should I be denied of this useage for almost 24 hours running.90b67
My BroadBand is not up to the mark since last week. My project is undergoing. I need the service seriously urgent. Please take immediate and necessary steps...

BSNL — Error in Broad band charges

In the recent bill ( July 09) I have been charged for an item called Broadband call and I was charged Rs. 325 and I don't know what it is (BB usage is shown seperately and given discount for the free usage). I don't know why I should pay this amount.

Dear Team,
We have been using broad band at my residence ( Tel no:[protected], but unfortunately the link is not working and is displaying error 678 from last 2 months. Unnecessarily we are paying rental and above all inspiter of our several requests things are not taken care. It has become really disgusting and wopuld request you to kindly look into the complaint and see to it that the same is rectified asap. Also to add , no body is picking up the toll free no. Even the concerned SDO Mr Mishra( [protected]) is not picking up the phone. It is hard earned money and we are not able to are not able to use the same. If the same is not resolved then certainly we would like not only to surrender the conncetion but also would like to go to consumer forum.

Even we have faced the same problem and all these complaints falls into deaf ears. No body attands the complaint and all your effort goes in vain. Take legal action, the same will be resolved very soon.

We are totally frustrated and would like to withdraw thwe conncetion if it is not resolved
I conneting bsnl broadband pc system and sharing net to wireless on laptop but pc system net are conneting, laptop net are not conneting and error come 678
I am a consumer of Calcutta Telephones Broadband Service.
My telephone No is : 24352698. I am really dissatisfied with the broadband service of BSNL.
I am facing problem from last 15 days as it is showing Error 678.

I have made complains as mentioned below:

1. R1301 Dated 02/02/10

2. R2498 Dated 03/02/10

3. R3143 Dated 04/02/10

4. R5658 Dated 08/02/10

5. R7538 Dated 10/02/10

6. R6201 Dated 12/02/10

7. R3607 Dated 17/02/10.

8. S4009 Dated 18/02/10.

I am using the Nokia Siemens Networks [Modem] C2110.

Hence, I would like to request you to go through my problems and take care of the Poor Service from your end and also rebate my telephone bill from dated 02/02/2010 till the problem is solved.

We had a broadband service against BSNL telephone connection (Tel No.[protected] years back. As a satisfied BSNL broadband customer in the past that time we opted for a yearly BB scheme with modem purchase option. Surprisingly in the first two months of taking the BB service literally we could not be able to use the broadband due to its continuous connection problem through out the day. We have not been entertained or satisfied even after repeated complaints to the BB customer care. In the meantime the monthly bill came with all the future and past charges and that was too with a lump sum amount (approx. INR 5500). We requested BSNL through several letterers with proper history of the problem to settle down the account after sending a revised bill which should exclude all the future charges. But even after multiple requests (3 letters in 6 months with many meetings) no body has shown any interest to solve the matter except posting few letters informing regular general scheme to activate the disconnected lines but there is no mistake of sending regular usage bills in spite of no use of telephone service since temporarily withdrawn.

Please help us to overcome the mental distress and anxiety of something unresolved with increasing usage bills.
Last 5 to 6 days (post on 16/4/[protected]xxxx / (frequently) telephone exchange broad band service down. Telephone person say SYSTEM DOWN. We can't do anything. You go to H.O. telephone Exchange. I moved from one door to another door. No answer from Telephone person. Because they are all of GODS. But monthly payment they are received at right time. I Thing BSNL withdraw the total Broad Band services.

Broadband Connection no 24426926 at my residence in Kolkata. Unable to run the broadband services since 20 th Oct 2010 .Showing error 678. Kindly resolve the problem at Flat no 526 RailVihar Near Ruby Hospital Kolkata - 107.
