Dell / Inspiron 1525 — SLOW SPEED

MY LAP IS NOT PERFORMING GOOD.SOMETIME IT HANG OR SOME TIME IT WORKING VERY SLOW AND STEACHING OF MY CARY BAG IS OPENED.
SO ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO U PLEASE SOLVE MY PROBLEM

This is absolutely pathetic on dell's part that they are supplying spurious or down-graded batteries with Inspiron 1525 series Laptops. I'm also facing the same problem.

With in a year of purchase, the battery is gone completely and doesnt charge any more. Dell is also not giving the replacement as they say battery is not covered in warranty.

My five year old HP laptop is still giving 45 mins backup and hardly a year old Dell Inspiron 1525 battery is exhausted. Mind you this only happens in the last month of warranty expiry. Its same in ur case as well as same in my case too. That is conclusive of that they are supplying down-graded batteries with laptops purposely, deliberately wh8ich is by no means a fair practice to treat customers

DELL — XPS m1530 battery malfunction

I had bought DELL XPS 1530 on 11/05/09 with a 1 yr. warranty from a Dell retail outlet. Now on the 26/04/09 the battery malfunctioned and now fails to charge beyond 33%.I called up DELL on 28th and their immediate reaction was that my warranty has already expired on 13/03/09. I tried to make them understand that a laptop bought in MAY cannot have its warranty expired in MARCH but to no heed.Then i emailed them a copy of my bill. Realizing the loophole in their argument now the Dell person told me that i had overused my battery and that they would not replace the battery, under any circumstances. I tried talking to a higher up technical person but he also went ahead with the same excuse. I do not understand how a battery with average life of 3yr. go down in 10 months, if its not faulty. How do Dell people know that i have overused the battery without even inspecting my laptop? They are not budging from their farce excuses and have already forwarded me a quotation to buy a new battery. This is a serious case of cheating and fraud that i have been subjected to from DELL

This same problem I am facing that my DELL Inspiron 1525 Battery is not charging and it is showing 7% not more than that. I purchased this laptop on 4 April 08'. Now it is not in warranty and I have to purchase new battery.
I am facing this problem from from last 1 week. Can anybody tell me that from where I should purchase the battery because DELL is telling too much price for this. I have seen that many other outlets are offering DELL Inspiron Battery in less price.
Please suggest me I should I do.

I am also facing same problem. When I contacted Dell they told me to installed updated battery software. Even then problem continued. Then there was message at the start up of the laptop that your battery bay now working properly. Then techinical support of Dell told me to replace the battery. So I have paid them in advane in the last month wherein they promised me to deliver the battery within four working days, contacted them number of times, morre than four working weeks elapsed & yesterdy they told me that battery is not available. So now they are refunding me.
My laptop is not working for 1 & half month even on direct power.
To mai sirf itna soch raha tha ki Ye DELL HAI YA DELAY.

Its very sad and pathetic that these batteries which were supplied with Dell Inspiron 1525 gets finished exactly after one year. I am really surprised how does they know about the battery that is going to expire after warranty period.
I, too am facing the same problem. I purchased my Inspiron 1525 in March 2008. It was 9 cell battery and its finised just day before yesterday. It was absolutely fine until then. So suddenly it happened that I was shocked. I tried all the alternative to revive it, based on the findings on the internet, but failed.
I dont know what to do and where to go with my problem.

Its reallly bad business practice that Dell has adopted...Shame on them.

I also have a dell Inspiron 1525 and have the same problem. It is really pathetic they are sending us this low grade batteries which only last 1 year.

WE should go to consumer court for this.

I even neglected other's comments on dell and went on to purchase it and now the battery is gone just the month next to the warranty expiry date. I now understand that Dell is the worst company present that employs a worst business strategy to give laptops for a cheap price with cheap components. Why to cheat the innocent customers?

Mine is saying 0% and not charging as if there was no battery at all!

I show the same 0% and not charging. I bought a battery, and it still say the same thing. Could it be hardware in the charging circuit, or the external power supply?

Yep in exactly 11 months battery no longer charges! amazing! and they wont replace it so i told them i have harddrive problems and they are sending me a replacement which ill sell for another battery! I win! screw Dell!

other companies are giving 1 year warranty for new replacement battery but dell gives only 3 months.

I am also facing the same problem with Dell Inspiron 1525. I purchased my Dell Inspiron 1525 in April 2008. It was 6 cell battery. It worked for one year when it was in warrenty and later exhausted. Dell has a very good business strategy to provide bad battery, which will exhaust completing warrenty and then you have no other option except purchase new one. And more pathetic part is that.. battery price is 1/4th of laptop. Next four year I would be purchasing a battery every year. Which would cost me price of a laptop. Seriously we should file a complaint against dell. Or We should use our laptop as desktop, always on AC power. :-)
Please suggest if I can buy new battery in less price from somewhere else.

My Dell Inspiron battery is also showing not chargning. Shows only 0% charging.
I purchased Dell Laptop because heared that Dell is good company but now i say Dell is worst company. Please dont buy Dell notebooks. My Laptop is only about 6 months old. My 3 Years old Compaq Presario still gives backup of about 40 minutes.

Let's sue Dell and ask for the penalty. Even i bought the Inspiron 1525 in April 2008 and exactly after one year the 9 cell battery stopped working.

Dell is cheating innocent Indian customers. Let's take the matter for court and penalize dell for cheating Indian consumers.

I have the same problem with my 1525 Inspiron Laptop that is just out of warranty. But I have read on other forums that the problem can be due to another fault, not just a dead battery.

There is a circuit on the motherboard that controls the battery charging, The solder on the circuit can break apparently, so even if you go to the expense of buying a new battery you still might have the same problem.

So before spending lots of money on a new battery, see if you can borrow a battery, to see if it will charge.

Hi, am also facing the same problem, my inspiron 1525 battery is not charging properly. its charging for a 5 seconds then not for another 20 seconds and then starts charging for 5 sec, the interval is dynamic.i bought it in feb. 2008.
i cant imagine buying a new one(its too expensive). Guys suggest me wot to do? Thanks!
