Dish TV — TERRIBLY PATHETIC EXPERIENCE WITH DISH TV - VC [protected]

WAKE UP Dear Dish TV - Am a Platinum Package holder from 15th February 2011, SAF NO on the Dish TV Subscriber copy is 0132090 - STB # 1001ABR38D503966 - Registered as Russel Baptista ([protected]). For the past 18 days - been having severe issues with the Set Top Box - which we have complained against many times. Technician comes after 4 days of the call - that too without informing inspite of specifically informing that Technician must call us before arriving home.
Issue is that the TV hangs / freezes every 2 to 3 hours - sometimes (even 4 times in 1 hour) which means the entire system & the Main power needs to be shut down & rebooted. Inspite of this consistent issue the Technician coming is not aware of how to diagnose the problem & thus not resolving the problem properly. We are told that there is a problem with the Set TOP box which needs replacement - since the warranty expires in Feb - we need to pay for Rs. 1800 for the new Set Top box. We helplessly agree so the Technician came yesterday with the supposedly " New" Set top box which was not new - attached the same. Mentioned that the old Settop box needs to be taken back. If the Consumer pays Rs. 1800 for a new Settop box - why shud the old setop box be taken back...Customer Support telephonically informs Process says so...After paying the Rs, 1800 - no refund of the old box is given, the old box is also taken back & the Warranty for the supposedly new box is only 3 months. If the Consumer is paying the complete Rs. 1800 for a new box - he should recieve a new box not a repaired old box of another client. Customer support is patheticly answering the queries saying the process says so. Processes are made to suit the company & the client too. In this case the process is made only to suit the Company. So DISH TV gets the OLD SET UP BOX, PROVIDES AN OLD REPAIRED SET TOP BOX FOR THE PRICE OF A BRAND NEW ONE(RS. 1800), WARRANTY FOR THE SUPPOSEDLY NEW BOX IS 3 MONTHS ONLY...........Consumer gets what - NOTHING BESIDES ARROGANT, ILL - INFORMED CUSTOMER SUPPORT WHO ACTUALLY DOES NOT SUPPORT THE CUSTOMER AT ALL - SO DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE THE NAME " Customer Support" - DISH TV should be called more CUSTOMER LOOTING SUPPORT.

DISH TV PLS WAKE UP BEFORE YOU LOOSE ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS TO TATA SKY....& COMPETITION.............DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS COMPLAINT FAST
