[Resolved]  Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic — Display problem

I have bought this mobile on pre-order basis on 10th Jan 2009 as I have confidence of Nokia product. I have used its N series phone for almost 3 years without any problem. But, I was very disappointed with this phone as within an year it has given me many problems. Actually I like this phone but few problems which are consistent on it is very frustrating. When ever I lock the phone and then unlock it then it shows vertical lines and sometimes during the call also its display suddenly vanishes. This problem I faced in July-August 2009 even. At that time I have written 5-10 mails to nokia care and registered my complaint to Nokia Head Office in bangalore. But, they always replied that you have to submit your cell to nearest nokia care. Then after esteem frustration I have finally submitted my phone to nokia care. Then after 14 days they returned back the phone by saying their is LCD problem and they have replaced the LCD. But, then it worked fine for 3-4 months but now again same problem persists. I can't figure it out what is wrong where. I am very devastated and helpless as I have 100% trust earlier on nokia and I recommended nokia phones over the rest. Now what should I do? Even now if I submit the phone and nokia care give a temporary solution then my warranty will also expire and I would be left helpless...

Nokia/ Nokia 5800 Xpress Music — Issue with Nokia 5800 Xpress music

On 21 March 2009, i purchased a Nokia 5800 series mobile phone from Sangeeta store (2nd Floor Forum Mall - Bangalore) @ Rs 19, 500. From day 1 i am facing issue with the mobile phone. Most of the applications hangs, when any SMS comes (Which is one of the basic requirements of the phone) and i try to open the same, the phone prompts a message : Memory Full, please close some applications and try again. Call log history, Gallery, Contact, Applications etc all gets locked. This issue gets resolved after switching off and switching on the mobile phone, but after 5-6 hours the issue comes back again and i have to switch off and switch on the mobile. So in a day i have to do this activity 3-4 times in order for the mobile to work fine.I reported the issue to Nokia Service Center - BTM 2nd Stage Bangalore twice (2nd April 2009 and 21 April 2009), but no result the problem still exists. On 24th April 2009, the mobile was sent to Nokia head office by the Nokia Care center. I got my cell phone back on 5th May 2009 but still the issue persist. So, twice Nokia care has worked on it and once Nokia main office but no result.Please help is getting the phone replaced. I will be very thankful to you.

in past few days i had get changed my lcd screen from nokiacare jalandhar but i am not stisfied with this change. from the day of change my phone shows many defolts. i think screen is not working good as nokia products working

i had purchased mobile on 08.02.09 about 6 months ago from vadodara (gujarat).. i have very bad very experience with the costliest mobile. it is very slow. no software application., sound very slow and there is not such quality music sound. ,... and now there is display problem in mobile.... there is fuzzy lines coming and mobile automatically restarts... i dont know what to do.... i want to change my mobile ... after all the mobile prices was 18900 rs. and no output of investing of such huge money....

Sir, i want punish to the company and give refund with harassment and investing money for such mobile...

I have purchased a Nokia 5800 xpress music from Nokia Care Pitampura Delhi. There is a display problem in the set. The display comes up only with many parallel lines. When i reboot the phone, it becomes ok.

I am one of the customers of Nokia phones and was always very satisfied with all the purchases I made with Nokia until my recent purchase of Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. Because of my trust in Nokia, I had prebooked my phone even before the launch of the phone in India. and was one of the first customers for this model. But to my surprise my happiness for the purchase didnt last long and within a week I got this problem in a handset speakers because of which I couldnt hear anyone talking in the phone. I went to Nokia dealer and asked for a replacement and he refused and he directed me to a nokia care center. First of all, since the piece was a faulty piece it should have been replaced immediately without question. Anyhow I went to the Nokia care center and before I could tell my problem to them, they saw my handset and guessed that it was the speaker problem. I was surprised when they told me that this was known problem to them for a phone model as new as Nokia 5800. But they did correct the problem.

Anyways about 4 months back my phones display started creating problem. Imagine a touchscreen handset in which you cant see anything, only parallel lines. :-(... I have been going to various Nokia care centers ever since and have not been able to get this particular problem fixed for my high end model. Again when I tried to find solutions to this problem on the internet, I found many customers are facing the same problem in Nokia 5800 handset. I dont understand how could a reputed company like Nokia get such a faulty phone launched in the market and even if this was by mistake why are they not able to resolve such a critical issue quickly.

Kindly look into the matter and get it resolved as soon as possible.

Nokia — Regular Display problem

Dear Team,

I had purchased Nokia E 63 in the month of aug'09 IMEI NO [protected] amount rs 12750.
Being a Business class phone ,Have full facility but I am regularly facing problem with Diplay.
In the moth of dec'09 ,Given to Nokia Care and recd phone after 21 days after a change in his display.Again the same or new problem arise in display and collected by Nokia Care Patna Boring Road for next 31 days and expected date of delivery is 22/04/10.

This is simply unfortunate that with in six months the problem is arising .
My Job Sheet no 2373. Why I will pay so much if the set is to be with companies for months.

I 5800 — Wrong Handset

I have ordered one (I-5800) phone to Naaptol on 18-03-10 as per Times of India Newspaper.
I have received the delivery on 27-03-10.
When I open the courier then I found that the handset I have ordered is I-5800 and in the box its written N-5800 and the MRP is 3000/- and I have paid Rs.4199/- including delivery charges
Then I check one battery is faulty & the connector of the charger is also faulty.
I spoke the customer care at Mumbai (Customer Care Executive name is Leela) she said please courier the handset back to Mumbai and they will replace it.
Request you to please replace the handset ASAP as my 10 years old daughter is very upset.
This handset I have gifted to her as she stand First in the class.
Once again please replace the handset and courier back as below mention address.

Dear Sir,

I purchased NOKIA-E-63. Dec-2009. It is within Warranty. The display has become faulty but there is no physical damage. The Nokia Care centre says the Gas has come out. I am confused how it can become like that automatically. They are not agreable to replace the LCD even though it is within warranty. More over the set hangs very often. Software is slow responsive. my xpress music hand set display was not working and I complain your nokia service centre, sector-2, Noida two or three times within warranty period, they repaired temporarily. After some days hand set was is in previous condition and warranty period was lapse, I complain your nokia centre Noida they refused to repaird in warranty period and demanded to me Rs.1250/-. I given him Rs.1250/- than they repaird my handset.

My complain is : Your Nokia Service Centre, Sector-2, Noida is not giving proper service within warranty period, only they want to money for any problem in hand set within warranty period also.

I purchased a nokia 5800 xpressmusic phone from Universell Marathahalli branch on 10.2.2010.last one month when the slide switch operate,the dispaly become blur, however some time it work properly.i given the phone to Nokia service centre at marathahalli(Silk teleelectronics).they are telling its due to physcial damages and diaplay to be changed.they are charging of 2500/- for the replacement. actually there is no damges to the phone and i feel the problem is in the display.i have searched in internet and found lot of cases are like the same in all over the world with 5800 mobile.when contacted Nokia care they sre explaining that any hardware problem warranty cant claimed. then what for that warrenty?? software can downdold free from Nokia site and Warrenty not for hardware.if it is a quality issue why Nokia not call back all mobiles as auto industry do.Pl do needful

Nokia — nokia 5800 display problem

Dear sir/ madam

I had purchased a nokia 5800XM phone in dec 09. Dispaly of my phone was working fine initially although it had shown the horizontal or vertical lines occasionally. I didn't took much notice of that.thought it is some kind of software problem.
but the situation got worse with passing time. I was not sure of the problem so i even updated my phone firmware but the problem remains the same.
by the time i come to know that its an hardware issue my warranty expired.
on searching the internet i found that its a manufacturing defect which is very common in almost all nkia 5800xm phones.
so i took the matter to ur nokia service centre but they told me that they will replace the screen only if i'll pay for it.
i was unable to understand what is the use of spending so much amount on nokia phones if we do get such faulty devices.
As a good business practice nokia shall replace my phone or its display free of cost since its not my fault rather a manufacturing defect.
kindly look into the matter.

2day 18/7/2011 mrng again i had given my handset again 2 the nokia care at vashi telecom,c2/3/0:1,sector-2 vashi,navi mumbai now they r telling that again they will keep that set for ten daz. now god knows wat wll happen? sir/mam i am a indian citizen nt a terriorst ! on 2daz job sheet they have written that it is NOT REPEATED JOB .may b they had some mistake bt i will see wat they r going 2 do. they only have EXCUSES for this they have GIVEN a name NOKIA CARE .......................!
