[Resolved]  Electrolux — Faulty product, service

I purchased Electrolux Refrigerator in Nov 2006 from a local dealer. I started facing problems from January 2008 with the product as its cooling capacity weakened and soon become dysfunctional. After repeated compaints to the service centre, the fridge was finally repaired on March 17. The company attributed the delay to unavailabilty of parts - compressor and gas. We paid them 1, 400 rupees for the bad service and also got a 6 months warranty.
After exactly 2 months, the same problem re-surfaced. We again complained and this time the service was prompt.
Four months after that, around 20th September we started facing similar problems. But ignored thinking it can't happen so soon. We saw ice-cream melting and flowing out of the freezer, vegetables drying up and milk souring. Again a complaint was filed. The problem, rectified within a week, was similar - gas choke up. The service centre again charged 1, 300 rupees this time.
This fridge has now become a white elephant for us. This is an unwarranted expenditure. It is not feasible to keep paying 1, 500 rupees every six months for an unsatisfactory product.

Electrolux — Faulty Fridge

I had purchased 280 ltrs fridge from Next, Sion on 18th June, got delivery on 23rd June & within 4 days there was no cooling & later water leakage.

Company service techinican came & tld they need to replace it, after few days got call from them same colour not in stock & they will deliver another approved colour on 22nd July & till date no news.

Today dealer informed Company can only repair existing & cant give replacement, dont understand why should I compromise for a faulty machine which is giving problems within 1 week of delivery, money doesnt grow on tree.

Electrolux Refrigerator — not working after repair

Complained regarding non working of refrigerator.Mechanic from the concerned dealer repaired and replaced compressor of the refrigerator and still the problem is same.

I have purchased one 330 Ltr. Electrolux Refrigerator from Auth. Dealer of Electrolux i.e. M/s Sabharwal Electronics & co. ,N.I.T. Faridabad Dt.[protected].

With in one month of installation,this unit has created problem ( No cooling) and till
date, this unit has been rectified four times by Electrolux Technicians and still the
unit is not reliable one ( stops functioning two to three times during 24 Hrs.) and again
five to ten times power switching is required from stablizer.

Kindly register the compliant to resolve the issue at earlist.

We got a ELECTROLUX DOUBLE DOOR REFRIGIRATOR. Was working satisfactorily for past several years. But suddenly stopped cooling. Requested service thro Askila . M.G.Electronics - Ex Godrej service Engineer landed and suggested replacing sensor if the unit doesnt work after manual defrosting.It is not working, when called the service person, he mentions that it has to work for one fullday

When the unit is not working at all, what is the use of allowing one full day.

ELECTROLUX must specify their authorised service points and the calibre service persons with rating for consumers to decide the service point

Electrolux — Fridge Faults and poor Customer Care

Complaints made as of:-

We have an Electrolux refrigerator in use for last 6 years. As far as I remember this came with a 7 years of warranty.
1. Company denied for 7 years now and said it is under years.
2. Engineer visited and asked to get the GAS filled as there is an issue with GAS.
He filled the gas on June 24 against the complaint made on June 22.
3. Refrigerator starts working but we were not satsified so called engineer again. He kept saying that it is working. With no hope we said ok, lets wait for another 2 or 3 days.
4. Refrigerator is down since June 27 again. logged a complaint on June 28. Engineer visited on June 29 and said the same issue again that GAS needs to be filled. It will be done on June 30.
5. No one came on June 30. On asking the customer care they bang the phone twice and one 3rd time said apologies for banging the phone and engineer will come next day.
6. July 01, call service center at around 10:15 AM. As per the reception, there was no engineer came to work till that time. And the engineer who was suppose to come on june 30, got his scooter problem hence not arrived (Funny execuse in service industry).
7. Its 2:25 PM, July 01, called service center, no one is picking the phone and no engineer visited till now.

In the peak summer if you get this kind of service what do you think of company customer care...?? Now I am think that the money spent on repair i.e Rs 3000 is full waste. instead I should put ths in purchasing a new fridge to be happy side :(

Can this be taken further and we can get our fridge working....

Refrigerator — faulty servicing

Dear sir,
Ihad lodged a complaint on 22.11.2011 informing that my double door refrigirator was not properly serviced thereby the freezing compartment got burnt. so far no response is received.

We have an Electrolux microwave and it needs a small part that they won't ship because they just don't provide customer service AT ALL! We were told five weeks! Come on Electrolux can you enter the 21st century and ship parts when your customers need them. What a concept!
