[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — deduction of depository charges

Hi all I also faced the same issue and an amount off Rs.561.80 got deducted from my salary account (HDFC Bank). I have not used this DEMAT Account for any reason.So what could be the solution on this ?Is there any possiblity to get back the money?If so kindly share the way on how to get back.

I have HDFC BANK ACCOUNT FROM RAJARAJESWARI NAGAR when i opened the account it is salary account and i moved the company so now i have axis account as salary account and i have submited the account closer form in hdfc bank rajarajeswari nagar because of their negligence/missed the application they have not closed the account and with the new rules from RBI every user have one customer id in one bank so i got to know that it is still in open condition when i went ask for closing the account they said there are charges of 4900rs as because of alerts charges no balance and some unknown charges

What is this Do i need to pay those charges? if yes why i have to do because of HDFC Staff Neglegency why should i pay that and also i don't want to use that for that why should i pay for closing the account ?

i have not used my demat account a single time. even i was not aware of the same. one day after 2 years i got a mail that rs.8000 has to be paid. i dont know what to do. please help

This is in reference to the transaction made into my account without intimating me by hdfc bank.

An amount of Rs 842.70 has been debited on 17th Sept 2013 from my salary account, mentioning about 'depository charges Aug[protected]' / Chq./Ref.No.[protected] on demat account. I hve never used this account in last many years.

I am aghast to see this has happened inspite of me not using the demat servies and when the account was given to me it was told that it would be absolutely free. This is clear exploitation of customers.

HDFC bank deducted Rs 561.80 as depository charges. May I know why they have deducted the amount and when will I get it back.

I have HDFC salary saving account. When i opened open the account I already told them I dont want that DMAT Account.
But still they opened it and charging this DEPOSITORY CHARGES OCT[protected].
Could you please look in to this matter.

Hey freinds, I have been using the HDFC BANK ACCOUNT since last 2 years and at the time of opening it was salary account and they made us fill the DEMAT Account which they told will be free.

But then now i can see that the amount of 842.70 is deducted on 12th Nov 2013 mentioning "depository charges Oct[protected]"

I have not even logged in to DEMAT account and was not even willing to take it, but they focrced and told that it is free and no deposit will be required and charges will be deducted

I want my money back with a valid explanation as to why the amount is deducted from the account directly without informing the account holders.

Look into the issue at the earliest and revert my money back to me as it is hard earned money.

HDFC has deducted 842.70 from my salary account as depository charges. Not sure if this regarding the DEMAT account, but I have never used it.
CAlled up cust care and waited on the line for 25 minutes and the line got disconnected. Again called back and no one answered and the call went on for another 10 mins.
Worst service I have ever seen.

I want my money back to my account.

i too faced the same problem with the same so called comments mentioned by above all...did not get and intimation prior of deduction..

I saw my bank statement online. shocked to see 842.70 dedected under the name of DEPOSITORY CHARGES.. This is absolutely cheating and exploiting the customer's . Ihave a salary account of ahdfc, NOW WHILE OPENING THE ACCOUNT IT WAS TOLD THAT THE DEMAT ACCOUNT WILL B E FREE, later after few days i personally visited a hDFC branch in jogeshwai and informed them to close this demat account, the counter staff asked me to meet the manager, whicj i did, i personally submitted the cancellation form to the branch manager. But now i see the charges.. This people dont even have courtesy to inform the customer before deducting such a huge amount. I want my money back at any cost.. I am sueing HDFC for sure this time

If you have never made any DMAT transaction, then 3/4th of your money will be returned back. All you need to do is following :

1) Go to any HDFC bank branch and apply for DMAT account closure.
2) After the DMAT account is closed, 3/4th of Depository Charges will be returned to your account.

Deducting Extra charges without informing - HDFC Bank

I have HDFC salary saving account. When I opened, they convince me to open DMAT account by saying that it is free and it is payable only when we are trading. But without using, they have deducted 842.70 Rs.

I have been using the HDFC BANK ACCOUNT since one years.
But then now i can see that the amount of 842.70 is deducted on 13 Jan 2015 mentioning "depository charges DEPOSITORY CHARGES DEC[protected].

I want to know why this deduction is happening as there was no prior intimation from HDFC bank in writing.
I want my money back with a valid explanation as to why the amount is
