The compaint no. is CA0974705. We bought a Compaq Presario CQ32801X with Compaq LCD 18.5" W185q on 30 june 2010 . From day one the TFT has the display problem We booked the compaint on 21st July. They have sent TFTs twice but each time an old repaired TFT. When we have bought a brand new desktop why should we accept an old and repaired TFT. HP Compaq refuses to listen to the complaint. Kindly look into the matter

    Dear HP Redemptions,

    It has been four months since you have not sent the antivirus solution to my address as below.

    The delay is not under stood.

    Your delay and lack of action is causing a threat to my laptop.

    If the antivirus solution does not reach my address before 07 August 2010, I would take up the case with HP or the associated companies
    for further action.

    The delay in shipping the antivirus pack is unacceptable.

      Sir I bought a laptop two months ago. It's second hand. My problem is within these two months I have faced problem of burning of VGA controller chip twice.
      And nobody tell me what is the problem exactly. I want to know what is the technical reason behind this and what is the permanent solution for this.
      please help me I don't have money to repair again and again.

        I had the same experience. I had brought the cartridge twice. same result. never knew HP will come up with such a false offer. Why are they doing this?
        I had the same problem, no body take phone or reply me on my mails . I won 4 gifts, 2 Printers (HP printer F4488 AIO) dt.16/07/2010 & 20/07/2010, 1 Parker Beta Pen on 02/10/2010 & 1 Sport Bottle (600ml) on 07/10/2010 from your HP spin & win contest, no body contact me regarding this gift. I am recieving only 1 Parker Beta Pen I can't recieve any printers.

        heyy guys i also won a net book in reward but i am waiting to dilivery of this and i also got conformation receipt from bluedart and i get the reciept from hp rewards and they said it will take about 1 to 2 weeks to delivery at my home... my mail id is [protected]@gmail.com
        HP has lost its image and customer faith in the brand. They are just misleading the customer.

          dear sir,
          i purchase HP D1668 deskjet printer and the usb cable wich i got with was faulty. When i contacted the HP call center, they replied that USB cable was not under warranty and asked me to email my complaint.
          There is a question for Senior HP executives if a product is found faulty from day one then who is responsible for this.???? and why you people have opened the call center if it is of no help!!!On many occassion i had similar experience with HP call center and service center.....The warranty seal on the product is placed on easy accessible location so even my accidentally it will move out ...causing the product to be denied of its warranty........ HP's call center is a [censored]hole.....I request people not to buy HP Product and I request the Govt. of India to frame strong consumer laws so such companies do not harass more customer...

            I have been ripped off by HP when I bought a new HP Pavilion DM4 1024tx laptop from retailer TATA CHroma in Eva Mall Brigade Road , Bangalore

            The unit given to me was a refurbished one which I came to realize after seeing traces of internet usage on the laptop prior to me logging in the first time. On testing , I came to know that the battery was a dated one ( mfg date is Jan 2010 whereas the box details july 2010 of assembly date). And every basic part of the laptop was faulty...display flickering, no sound etc. Battery drained in 45 minutes flat. When I contacted TATA Chroma i was told they are not responsible and that I must goto HP Serive centre.


            I went to HP service centre twice ( first time i was turned back) and the second time despite my 1 hour explanation that people are repeatedly putting 'battery not charging' as my complaint. As if it was like a planned move or even as if they were expecting me there. It is now 3 weeks and still I do not have any response from HP or their service center.


            This is a case of outright crime by HP and their retailing partners. Needless to say you are warned of this HP operation existing in Bangalore and would be a complete fool even if you look at HP Laptop as an option to buy. JUST NEVER BUY HP LAPTOPS ! They are openly looting people.


            But I am writing to seek info if anyone else has undergone similar experience by HP and their support service center? Because I am collecting all people who have been victimized by HP so that we can call make a collectively affront and expose HP in mass media. I have already collected about a dozen people so far. In case you would like to join this fight against HP kindly mail me at [protected]@yahoo.com I am based in Bangalore and would willingly lead this initiative against HP

                Response of a complaint logged in hp support is highly disappointing...even after passage of weeks they take no action...the most strange thing is the training being provided to hp engineers... maximum of the engineers are simply good for nothing....for each nd every step they require assistance of their seniors on ph. nd the most shocking part....on last visit of engineer while he was discussing the problem with the field head of the department , Mr.MUKESH, I heard him saying "give a damn to complaint dnt waste much time for a single complaint if you not able to diagnose it just simple demand for motherboard".....though it was being replaced four days ago.
                Hp websites are more useful than their so called engineers and even their heads....
                ** on one of my past complaint in ' NOV. 09 ' regarding problem in' TFT ' ...Mr. ARIF who was engineer on visit din't even know the procedure to open the ' TFT ' and gave external defects, broke back side parts of it... speakers still not replaced after passage of 9 months ( JULLY 10)...
                ** As the action of last call in "JUNE 10" of NO SOUND and SHADOW in TFT motherboard was replaced by MR. ASHISH, on the day of visit he took another call in between mine...and returned back after 5-6 hrs.. after replacing motherboard he found that it was not the problem of motherboard .... and more over he guided to misguide the hp support on closure call by saying that their was fault in mother board which earlier existed...otherwise he'l be called and asked that irrespective of the fact motherboard was okay then why he replaced...
                while he was performing his work he was on his personal phone call...he was so indulged in that what functions he run in system he himself forgot which resulted in some error....in the system due to which there was no display in system....he then accepted the fact that problem occurred because of him and he is personaly liable for that so he demanded one day to correct the fault..... but after that he dissappeared like anything without giving the consumer call report....the replacement of motherboard was not reported in service center..
                after hearing the above case service center gave no response took no particular action against that engineer against his negligence..
                ** To report back to the consumers is the duty of service center for appropriate action....but unfortunately we as consumers request them to kindly look into respective matters and.....they behave irresponsibly....by saying at present there is no other call on your route so for just a single call we cant assign the engineer...so you have to wait..
                ** with almost every complaint a different issue arises...
                from the hp support center to hp service centers to their engineers everyone can just shift problems to other department rather than taking responsibility to overcome that problem..

                I don't know where should i go for help now..


                From the date of purchase till now facing one o the other problem with the hp product, hp service....now regret buying HP product....highly dissatisfied with hp quality..
                my work gets seriously effected due to in efficient machine at short intervals....because of the problems suffered due to HP service CAN'T EVER IN FUTURE RELY ON HP.....o suggest anyone else for its products.

                I have compaq two laptop both are having same problem ,HP service center says its a HP MFG. Defect. and co. also know that .Problem in mother board , i have also placed complain in hp site but they are giving respond very slow. after 7 day of y complain no one can give me repaly .

                I have very mutch trust on hp and also i am useing other 8 product of hp including Destop pc and printers ,but now slowly i lost trust on hp. In this case this is manufacture Defect and co also know that.so company have to replace my laptop mother board at free of cost and also give compensation for my inconviniance .
                Frist thing in my life we never use any hp product, never recommended any hp product,
                Go to comsumer court.
                HP can never improve thier service to customers as it has no interest in that.
                recentlyI bought a new hp mini 110-3007TU laptop .After a week i noticed that laptop batter drains heavily even wnhen laptop is in shutdown.A fully charged battery in that laptop bbecomes dead in 3to 4 days if laptop is in shutdown and unused .ie, If I carry this laptop and travel in train from my place to Delhi, by the time i reach delhi laptop will be dead. I reported this to Local HP service center and they discussused with HP team and say that this is normal in any laptop. I took my friends lenevo mini, and I find no such problem.
                conclusion:
                HP products may not be Q.C test passed.
                HP engineers and thier R&D is very poor.
                So, I suggest not to buy HP Laptops anymore

                  Hello,

                  I was the proud owner of an HP Printer, the details of which are as below:

                  Model No: HP OJ PRO L7580
                  Sl. No: MY78N62129
                  Date of Purchase: 1 Sep 07

                  Unfortunately I am no more a proud owner of the above printer since 5 Jul 2010. On this day, the printer stopped working as a couple of parts of the printer had fallen onto the top sheet of the paper stack in the paper tray.

                  The printer was taken to your HP Service Centre at Indiranagar, Bangalore, where I was given to understand that only printers under Warranty will be serviced.

                  The printer was then taken to Redington India Ltd at Infantry Road, Bangalore and I was shocked to learn the following:

                  The spares that are dropped into the paper tray cannot be assembled back. As an Engineer myself, I know that such a situation is impossible, especially when the parts are intact and not broken.
                  Even more shocking was the statement made in writing by Redington (refer attachment) that Spares are not available with them and will not be forthcoming from HP.

                  In the first instance a printer from a reputed company such as yours should not fail in 35 months. I have other printers from HP which are much older and in good working condition. Secondly, I am surprised as to how HP does not supply spares for a product which is just 35 months old?

                  Please clarify your stand at the earliest.

                    I purchased a HP pavilion dv2701tx notebook from mumbai on Apr 2008 going by the brand value of HP (what a fool I was !!). It always used to be more warmer than notebooks of other brand from day one. I ignored it thinking it was the characteristic of HP notebooks. After 10 months of operation the notebook was getting more hotter. Then it started heating so much that I had to resort to using a cooling pad.

                    I should remind the readers that my fan was working fine. I used to frequently clean the heat sink vanes by blowing air from outside. you can get this branded compressed air canisters in the market. You dont have to necessarily open the laptop for this and avoid getting the warranty void. It is a good practice to prevent dust particles from settling on to the heat sink vanes and fan blades. It is important to note that while doing so the laptop should be switched off. I have maintained my laptop with utmost care.

                    After having done all this I found to my utter amazement that the laptop used to overheat and shut down without any warning or error message. After a while it started showing multiple displays on the screen and I could no longer use it.

                    When I took it to the HP service centre in Andheri, they told me that the laptop was damaged and I have to replace it. The unofficial price quoted by them was Rs 25,000. I was shocked. After having paid so much for the laptop now I had to shellout another Rs 25,000. I took the laptop back and started inquiring about this problem in my friend circle and the internet.

                    I came to know that this series of laptop had this problem of overheating and multiple display and many consumers have suffered the same fate. This laptop uses a NVIDIA graphics chip which is problematic. there were three ways to rectify this problem as told by a local vendor. They are:

                    To heat up yhe NVIDIA GPU so that the soldering sticks on to the motherboard.
                    To replace the NVIDIA GPU with a new one.
                    To replace the motherboard (original MB part no[protected] while the replacement part no is[protected].

                    The first two are temporary solutions as the problem may reoccur while the last one is a costly proposition.
                    My question to HP is, why are they preparing such substandard products. If there were so many cases why haven't they recalled this product and repaired it free of cost. the answer is they just don't care. they are here to do business and fleece the unsuspecting customers. When you go to their service centres they just put up a blank face saying, they are either not aware or the company has no recall policy. In the end people like you and me suffer. My request is "PLEASE DON'T BUY HP PRODUCTS".
                    I have faced exactly the same problem on the same notebook . HP is selling sub-standard products in India.
                    This is Sumit from jamshedpur and i too bought the same model HP Pavilion dv2701tx and facing the same problem. To fix it right is a very costly affair for no fault of mine.. HP should recall all the models with NVIDIA graphic card and replace free of cost. This is just a breach of trust by such a supposedly trusted brand!!
                    i am also facing same problem with my 18 months old notebook. Hp has to take some concrete action on this. I will suggest every one not to buy HP product

                      I had applied for a new HP Gas connection with its dealer- AMRAPALI GAS in Chinchwadgaon, Pune. I had to fill a form and was given a waiting no. and told to come after 8-10 days. I was not informed that I need to purchase the stove along with connection from them. After 12 days when I returned to rude shock on being told that I need to purchase the stove mandatory with new connection stating that the HP company is at loss and to get some money to cover the loss they are doing this. I check the HP site where in the FAQ it clearly mentions that it is not mandatory to purchase one. I called up the customer service to inquire about the same and they were also talking the same song that we need to purchase the same. I told them first of all this was not mentioned to me while applying for new connection. I was given the rude answer go to the dealer and call me back so that I can talk to him and the line was disconnected. I feel this is really cheating the consumer. If the company is making a loss it does not mean you earn by this mean and stating officially in their site that this is not mandatory. The other sad part is that I cannot approach any other provider even though it is present as this area is covered by HP and no other provider can poach on their area. ---- Mathew

                      what did you do, did you purchase the stove? One of my friend had same issue and he requested in writing that he do not require a stove and that dealer accepted his request.

                        With due respect I would like to inform you that I bought HP laptop (DV6-2155TX, SERIAL NUMBER--CNF0021KRP,and PRODUCT NUMBER---WK934PA#ACJ,intel i3) from GOYAL INFOTECH,purigate,IIT kharagpur,west bengal on 16th February 2010.
                        But within 2 weeks of its purchase it began to show numerous problems like daily freezing/hanging,charging problems,neither it could identify LAN network.The Laptop was submitted to nearest HP service centre for identifying the problem.The necessary TOA was done and it was said that there would be a laptop replacement because it had irrepairable fault in it but still now nothing has been done.It has been 3 months still now nothing has been done or said.As a student I am facing difficulties with my academics because of absence of my laptop.
                        It was promised to be checked,replaced and delivered within a month but 2 months have passed by and now its end of May still now no necessary step has been taken.
                        I am greatly disappointed by the service and the unexpected delay caused by the HP service centre.Its my earnest request to you is to look into
                        the matter and consider my problem and take fast necessary action.I think I wont be disappointed this time.

                        hp PAVILION dv6 — IMPROPER SERVICING AND DELAY

                        CONSUMER NO- [protected]-461, Job Card No A14324.
                        I had deposited my laptop for servicing with a complaint of sound of colling fan at In Tarvo Technologies Ltd on 01 Mar 2011. They took 5 days for giving quotation and inspite of paying the full charges of servicing & parts the laptop was not repaired till 10 Mar 2011. Even the item replaced is not handed over. They said they replaced item SPS THARMA MODULE DIS & charged Rs 2968.81 in addition to servicing charges of Rs 1378.80 which seems to be exorbitant. The services given by the firm is very poor and not up to the standard of HP International.

                          I had given my HP Photosmart C6188 All in one printer with Serial No: MY6B8H425K. for Paper Jam/ squeaking roller noise while scanning to the authorized service provider here in Pune on 28.06.2010.
                          The service provider is
                          Redington India Ltd, 201-206 Sheetal Plaza, off F.C. Road, Model Colony, Pune 411005.

                          The work order number given by Redington is PU/10/1068. The engineer Mr. Mayur there assured that they will call me with the status of repair within 48 hours, but even after more than 1 week I didn't receive d any call from them. I have contacted Redington daily for the repair status, and was told that printer is ready but they cannot rectify Noise problem due to unavailability of Spares. On 15th July 2010, I personally went to Redington; they returned the printer in totally not working condition as error messages such as “INK SYSTEM FAILED” / “PUMP MOTOR STALLED” kept coming.
                          The engineer bluntly told me it is not repairable.

                          I am very upset with the service provided by HP's authorised service providers as to how a working printer is rendered useless by these people. Now I want HP either to repair the printer or give me a replacement printer for goo[censored]p caused by the service provider and their negligence.

                          I have been getting a paper jam message on my yr & a half old HP 8500 all in one office pro printer for a few days. Adding insult to injury, my printers message changed to motor pump stalled. I have exhausted all possible avenues going through all steps in help. I then chatted online with HP customer care. They said my options were limited as it was a hardware issue. I could upgrade or get the printer serviced. When I said I wanted to know what either was going to cost... they said someone would call me to discuss.
                          The options were as follows: get another printer same model for $363.00 or downgrade for $319.00 or buy a refurbished model for $199.00. The rep indicated this offer was only good today...right now! If I wanted to think it over the offer would not be good. I inquired what was so special about today that I had to make a decision now. To which I got no reply! Service is $65 an hour. The rep said it would cost approx $300 +. I have had problems with HP on almost everything I've ever purchased. I've given them the benefit of doubt & I'm not sure why!!! They ship you off to the nether world of cyber space and give you nothing! They practice legal extortion. You have to buy their print cartridges or the printer won't print. You have to accept their terms. ~~~~ A formal boycott may work with some of these giant companies! There is strength in numbers. Disgusted & disappointed.

                            Hi!

                            I am putting this complaint here only hoping I may get resolution to my HP Printer, which now I dread that I bought it in the first place.

                            Case:
                            Printer Serial No.:CN95I4V105
                            Date of Purchase: Oct 13 2009

                            Its right from the time I purchased I have been facing some problem or the other, and though I have got one year on-site warranty with this printer, HP just refuses to send any engineer to get it checked and resolve the issue.

                            There has been repetitive problem with my color cartridge, the first one happened in Nov 13 2009 and second in March 12 2010.

                            In both instances, I was asked to replace the cartridges from their ARC (Authorized Service Station). Which I did taking leave from office, visiting the shop at my own expense and time, and spending 4-5 hours just to get a replacement cartridge. Above that the problem as identified with the cartridges suggest that the issue is in the cartridges nozzle. And this too with the color cartridge only.

                            And now the third time this problem has occurred yesterday i.e. on July 13 2010. And again I get the same response from CC to go to the ARC and replace the cartridge. I requested CC, to kindly get the printer checked, since I myself being a technical person, understand that there is some defect inside the printer H/W which is causing the problem to the color cartridges only. OR maybe the cartridges in itself are defective, as supplied by HP ARC.

                            But there is no support provided by CC, and they just refuse to accept either of it nor do they support in getting the printer checked by their engineer! Well too much for their pathetic printer and after sales!

                            I am attaching here the proof of letter issued by the ARC after replacing the cartridges. Please find the scanned copy.

                              I have purchased a 15.4" compaq laptop from Ahmedabad and as per their scheme requirement of giving digital camera of kodak i have sent all d req. document along with cheque of 1300 to their adress of new delhi...but when ever i try 2 reach them by telephonic call their no. remain busy all the time.i called them approx. 1000 times and m surprised that always receive a voice msg frm comp. that all the executives are busy how cum it be possible so when any of employee of hp receive this comment of mine...do contact me on [protected] otherwise i will go to consumer court definitely..it will be last day of your fraud...

                                Myself, a very troubled customer of hp pavillion dv6 2005 AX. i gave my lap for
                                repair twice in 5months of buying it.
                                i strongly here giving my complaint against inacceptible and really irresponsible behavior fron hp
                                and its service centres at kerala.I gave my lap for some problems like

                                1)plugged in, not charging caption
                                2)very low battery backup while doing any work(hardly 1 hour)
                                3)over heating
                                4)slow response
                                5)pen drive not working properly


                                i was given my lap back after nearly 1 month and wat i find is that i still have many of problems
                                still there in my lap. i bought this lap in month of dec 2009 and in these 7months i face a lot of
                                problems in this. i am deeply hurt that my 50000 bugs was WASTED on such scarp.

                                i have to knock door of consumer court in india.these ppl are giving a lot of adds on and
                                off tv but they dont understand that the best add is consumers itself and they r creatin alot o[censored]nsatisfied
                                customers.
                                i want to know my rights.pls help

                                    I have a HP Pavillion DV 9385 ea series laptop purchased from HP. Time since I have bought the laptop, there have been continuous issues with it.
                                    Within 6 months of buying the piece, it had a motherboard crash and had to be sent to the service centre and the Motherboard was replaced.
                                    Later the LCD was replaced in a year's time as it stopped working.
                                    Then again a DVD ROM issue. It stopped working and hence was replaced.
                                    Then a LCD issue again. The LCD went blank. This time I gave it to the service centre. They gave me all false reasons and finally handed over the laptop to me on 14th June. I had given them the laptop on 29th April 2010.
                                    Its not even a month since it has been repaired and now again the laptop is having issues. The LCD has gone blank again !!!
                                    The day when I was collecting it from Vintech, the Web cam wasnt installed and the laptop was very slow.. I had to tell them to install the web cam software.. Not sure what QA has the laptop passed through...
                                    Im fed up following up with the HP team. The service centre here in Pune :- Vintech Systems Pvt Ltd. The staff that has no technical knowledge whatsoever ... Ms Rajini the Pune Centre head who doesnt keep up promises and so is Mr Sanjay Kumar.
                                    I STRICTLY WANT A REPLACEMENT FOR MY PIECE THIS TIME !!!
                                    I am not interested in following up with HP anymore.. They dont give any proper technical info and moreover I believe it was a LCD issue and they un-necessarily changed my motherboard and replaced a good one with an old one..
                                    Please take this up with HP and help me in getting a replacement for the same.

                                    HP Laptop — defected piece of laptop sold

                                    I purchased this laptop 3 years back costing me Rs61,000.For the first year, i.e. within the guarantee period it worked out fine, but just towards the end its performance started deteriorating.The Hp service center helped me deal with the problem.I got an extented warrenty for the laptop done.But since then I have faced troubles like hell.The laptop gives problem every second week. Four times in a month the motherboard stopped working.I had to take it to the center every time.Sometimes the conditions were so bad that the laptop showed full performance in the center and once I reached home, the laptop just wouldn't open(no display).The service center can't do anything to help me.They just correct the defect and sends it back.The correction lasts for a week or two.If I face the problem every Second week and the serveice center people keep the laptop for a week or so for the correction can anyone tell me how am I supposed to do my work on the Laptop.Then there are problems of data back-ups.I have faced the problem for two long years. And working on it has given me no result.I informed the Hp headquarters but with no response.I am helpleass now.

                                      My laptop required servicing of display & I brought it to the
                                      servicing center of the company at,
                                      " LANGATE, Opposite COTTON HILL G.H.S., VAZHUTHACAUD, TRIVANDRUM"
                                      on[protected]. They required me to wait for 3days
                                      for their reply . When I contacted on 25th I was required
                                      to contact on next day. When contacted I was required to contact
                                      on 28th . There was no positive reply on my queries &
                                      on 3srd July I was assured return of the Laptop on 5th july.
                                      On 6th July they informed that it will take more time since
                                      the part received was not suitable. I an waiting for an early
                                      return of the system, as I have to leave station to Salem to attend
                                      my classes scheduled to resume on 12th July

                                        i mr t.gopinath, from kota village, nellore district,andhra pradash,south india,india.i purchased hp ljp1007/cc365a,serial number vnen107588 printer froms.s.systems-nellore,cost of rs6,100/- with one year warranty, on 23rd april 2010.i take nearly 430 prints from the printer.after that prints are not clear.i talk to my dealer .he said to open the top door and remove cortiage, shake well the cortiage,and inshurt the cortiage ,close the door and then to take prints.i try to open the top door,the door opend but top door right side link was broken.i take the printer to the service center nellore .
                                        the engineer told me,this is physically damaged.i did nothing except opening the top door.he used forsips and told to do the same thing every time when it gave trouble.But i told the engineer to arrange spare part i will pay the cost of the part.he told it is not possible,spare part not avilable from company.i think its not physical damaged,it is weakly moulded.i purchased the printer for cost of rs.6100/-i want to use the printer.i will pay the cost of spare part,please arrange it.It is not convincble to say it is useless when it is that much costs.
                                        please arrange the spare part to use the printer. my friends advise to me purchage canon printer ido not accept it .i purchaged hp printer.service center emploees told me ,you take your printer,its a physical damage,i cont do any thing.i told the engineer, sir please ready to use our printer.they have not acccept it ,he said ,i will put a police case on you,and throu out your printer to street.your staff talk with me too ugly. sir i does not want new printer, i want to ready to use our printer,i pay the cost.sir please ,i pray to you ,i am too poor ,please ready to use our printer.
