[Resolved]  ICICI — Office of Head Service Quality

The follwoing email was sent on December 8th 2008, and look at the wondrefull response i got from "Office of Head Service Quality"

Email Sent:
"My company holds a Corporate Account with ICICI bank.I hold a salary account with ICICI bank from last three years.I had the so called "Preapproved Loan" shown in my account when ever i log in to ICICI internet banking.Due to some personal reasons i happened to apply for the "Preapproved personal loan" which promised minimum paper works and high priority processing in 7 working days!!

I applied for the same on the 21st of November 2008(Ref no:[protected]- .After one week i got a call from one of the representative to provide the address proof, ID proof, Office ID, 2 photographs, 6 cheques.On Monday 1st of December 2008, a person from ICICI bank came and collected all the documents and i had to sign numerous apllication forms(this is minimum paper work), he also adviced me that the amount i requsted for will be credited in my account within 5 working days.In the next few days there was a person who visited my oiffice and home for verification.I also received Numerous calls from ICICI verfication department to my personal number and as well as my office number.

I received an SMS from ICICI bank on friday 5th of december 2008 stating that my application has been received and the application number is 60658776. On Saturday 6th of December 2008 i contacted the customer service to find out the status and why my account has not been credited the loan amount as promised.The customer service executive informed me that my address has not been updated and it will take 7 working days for my application to process.And now on monday 8th of December 2008 i get call from ICICI bank asking for my address, my net salary and she said that she has not received any documents from my side and what has happened to all my cheques which i submitted!!!?

My question to the customer service and the management is what is happening? I applied for a "preapproved loan" out of a personal emergency!! and its been allready 3 weeks since iam waiting for an approval.I dont know what process you follow for the same but i can assure you that its very disturbing...my company it self has 300 employees and they all have an account in ICICI bank...i wont be surprised if you start loosing customers in large volume.Grow up ICICI Bank!!!"

On 9th December 2008 i receive a email saying the following:

"Dear Mr. Chandran

We refer to your e-mail of December 8, 2008 to Head Service Quality.

We would like to inform you that your complaint has been registered under Service Reference number SR88935024 and we will respond to you by December 16, 2008.

I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND THE POINT OF RESPONDING AFTER 8 DAYS...ARE THESE GUYS FOR REAL OR OUT OF THIS WORLD??!!

ICICI — Preapproved Loan

My company holds a Corporate Account with ICICI bank.I hold a salary account with ICICI bank from last three years.I had the so called "Preapproved Loan" shown in my account when ever i log in to ICICI internet banking.Due to some personal reasons i happened to apply for the "Preapproved personal loan" which promised minimum paper works and high priority processing in 7 working days!!

My name is CHIRAG M RAHEVAR. I am having icici credit card since last year. My bill amount was due. I went to icici credit card collection office at SAKAR-1 at Ashram Road and paid the 2400 amount by cheque. Mr. Chaitanya Patel was Executive their he told me that in this amount your credit card will cancel automatically and you will not be defaulter of icici. My credit card no. is [protected].My total amount was 3068.46 and i have already given a cheque for 2400 amount's cheque against this payment. Mr. chaitanya recieved cheque on[protected].The cheque which i have given that was also same day's cheque.My cancellation request no. is- SR97153248.They also send me message on mobile that your card will cancell in maximum 10 days.Now youn please give me positive reply asap. I hope thast you will do my favour.
ICICI bank branch office at Rani Mill, Meerut has not credit the amount of different cheques in the current A/c No. 0301 in spite of wrting the letter to the bank.the consumers are threating for legal action in the matter. the matter to be settled immediately.

My name is tejas thakkar.I am having icici credit card since last 2-3years. My bill amount was due because Faurd 5 policies(ICICI LOMBARD) were given me on 27th Feb 09.And It was Issued on basis of Cedit card Telephonic call. which was not attanded by me.I was go to Lombard at Race corse, Lanmark building and I was Proved that This 5 faurd Policies were not taken by me.And also in this policies remaning name except my name other name of my family member were not a part of my family member.
I had contact to MR. Pradip Sharma who is manager of Icici Lombard.He canceled my all policies but full pament was not done by thier end and alco do not co-operate by cedit card department & also by Lombard.

And i was asking for any due pament pending from my side and your customer care told me no Pement pending and iwas close yr account.

Still 547 rs is pending for pay.no one can answer me for this payment.

and One last thing was clear from my side that i was not used credit card for any type of buying since from date of getting credit card.

she gave it for 18, 000, when an agent collected the money advised him that i do not have complete 18, 000, so gave him 16, 000 cash
and gave him two post dated cheque dated 011109 for 1, 200
and 800 dated on 011209, was very happy that i settled this card,
but guys from the collections are irritating even after settlement,
so do the need full.Every time from the customer service, they will advise that will arrage for a call back from the manager no calls from them.I am really upset at least excpecting the email reply back.

Dear Sir,

Brief of the Issue:

The root cause of the entire dispute had started by the Bank long back of which all correspondence documents are yet available with me as evidence and can be produced in case required?

On behalf of my salary A/c. with the bank and very clean record, the bank had given me a credit card and a personal loan. I was paying the EMI of personal loan without any fail for contentious 12 Months until, the bank made a debit of Rs. 8000/- without any intimation to me. While my enquiry, the bank had replied that the debit was done against Rs. 500/- was due. Although I had paid entire dues long back wherein I was not able to receive Monthly statement. Also I was not using the card by giving intimation to the bank therefore no transection was made for the last 12 Months by the card. Therefore I asked the bank to review and refund me the undue charge was debit by the Bank and close the card. After so many follow-up with the bank, they closed the card but did not refund any money.

In this situation, I informed the bank that I will be bound to hold EMI of personal loan until my issue gets resolved. But no action was taken by the Bank therefore I had stopped paying the EMI. Still my intention was not hold EMI but to get solution therefore it kept on happening that I stopped and again started paying the EMI on I used to get a verbal commitment by the respective representative that they will provide me the solution later on.

Meanwhile it reached to the stage of closure time of this personal loan came very nearer (Feb’12) by which I wanted to close this and the bank also advised me the same. But I was not willing to take any waiver on (Principal + Interest) offered by the bank and also was not in position to pay entire EMI outstanding mount (Rs. 2.18 lac) in 4 Months only. The bank representative Mr. Rudra Sen and Mr. Pawan Joshi advised me that I will be paying entire EMI outstanding therefore they will easily get and extention / revised latter later on for two month s by which I could pay 100%. Therefor I agreed and gone for the settlement. As per the discussion, I kept paying approx. 50% of my salary each month and had already paid Rs. (1.38 lac) in this 4 months of settlement tenure.

The same representative informed (Mr. Rudra Sen and Mr. Pawan Josjhi) informed me on 27th of Feb-12 that they will be able to get me the revised later by a week time after which I have to pay the balance outstanding Rs. 80470/- by the end of March’12.

I get a surprise message on my mobile on 29th Feb-12, the day when my salary was credited to my A/c., “Salary credit Rs. 93876/- and net balance (-60500/-)”. While I immediately enquired with the bank, it was again a lien marked by the bank of Rs. 1.54/- lac which was a total balance including bouncing etc. charges. While I ask the representative that how it has happened, he said please approach the customer care as we can’t do anything now because it’s done by some other team and they had rejected my request to get you the revised later. Further I got another message on my mobile the same day that my A/c. is debited by Rs. 80470/-.

Please notice that I had sacrificed my earlier debit of Rs. 8000/- and made a settlement to pay 100% EMI to the bank because my intention was never bad. And as per the discussion which I had with the bank representative (Mr. Rudra Sen and Mr. Pawan Joshi), I was already willing to pay the balance amount of Rs. 80470 in two instalments till Mrach’12 as to close the loan of which Rs. 1.38 lac already paid within 4 months against the total EMI outstanding was 2.18 lac? Also I was not so ahead of the closure of this loan period is (Feb-12).

This was in process and I was expecting the revise latter as per our mutual discussion earlier but the bank marked a lien to A/c. and further debit of Rs. 80740/-?

Notice that just like the credit card, the bank again did not close my loan so far and I doubt that they will repeat the same which they have been doing so far with me….

Now I request to you kindly intervene and provide me the solution (to provide me no dues certificate and close the loan ASAP as to avoid any further debit or dispute later on) within 7 days after which,


1. I’m left with no choice but to go for a legal action and consumer forum and ask for the compassion against the harassment which the bank has been making for me and my entire family? The approach of the bank yet is clearly intended to fabricate the issue and harass the public by making undue debit but not willing to close the loan in a proper way?

2. To initiate to change ICICI Bank and appoint some other Bank by closing all the relationship with this bank, close salary A/c. of all employees and transfer so that the bad intention of the bank should not badly effect to any of we employed there or company?

Home Loan Applications [protected] and [protected].


Seems ICICI has giving the service only for harassment of
customers. Since 75 days completed but still you people are not able to
complete my loan procedure. I am experiencing very bad, expensive, panic
treatment from ICICI peoples. Within 75 days I have visited your Thane, wood
mall branch mostly 3 times in a each week for signature on documents.
Firstly Mr. Nilesh of your franchisee person cheated me long time
then Mr. Rajanish took long time to do the loan procedure then this
matter handed over to Mr. Nitin..then again he was given me commitment
to release the top up loan within 3 days after submitting the original property
documents. Now he is cheating me…Mr. Nitin given me same documents i.e.
Memorandum documents three times for signature. This is happening due to lack
of Knowledge & miscommunication between their team members.


You people are giving very low priority for my loan disbursement. Mr Nitin told
me, two months completed for technical procedure and now we need to do it again
due to period(two months)has been expired. I have question, why you are not
taking necessary action on such unreliable, irresponsible, & useless
employees???? Mr Nitin asked me to send the scan copy of Society’s NOC that
I have already submitted to ICICI bank. Then why he asked me?? Yesterday given
me sanctioned application letter’s Xerox copy for signature that I already
submitted in bank. Few days ago Mr. Rajanish was asked me to submit the
Franking documents that I had already handed over to Mr. Nilesh.

Overall you people are misplacing the documents and again &
again doing the same procedure and wasting my valuable time…


Let me know when you will give me the top up loan cheque????

I am not liable for any charges for not maintaining average balance of Rs. 10000 per day.
