Thus we request you to kindly send an sms PORT<>Mobile Number to 1900 for initiate new UPC code and give a new request for same.For further assistance, kindly contact to our Idea customer care helpline.

Two continuous Port out requests (UPC ID474339 / 21 Jan 2015 and UPC ID742141 07 Feb 2015) have been rejected by IDEA Cellular service provider citing contractual obligation.When contacted myIDEA office and IDEA Customer care, no one could tell me which contractual obligation I have not fulfilled. Usually contractual obligation consists of one or more of the (i) Premium no. (ii) ILD service (iii) Special Bill Plan (iv) Add-on number. I have none as my number was ported in from Airtel few years ago. I don't have ILD service. I have normal bill plan and I don't have any add-on this number. Therefore, I am sure that IDEA to make its customer base intact is resorting to such unfair practice, may be malpractice thus causing hardships to the consumer. I am taking my time to advise other consumers also that whenever going for any service provider, make sure you won't have any problem while porting out (reasons may be area change, service availability etc). This shall be brought to the notice of TRAI as well so that adequate protection to consumer is put in the regulatory framework and misleading service providers are penalised and justice is done to the consumer.
