[Resolved]  Income Tax Refund — NON PAYMENT OF INCOME TAX REFUND FOR THE ASSESSMENT YEAR[protected].

Sir I am Vijayakumar P.K. My. PAN No is AEUPP5892D. The income tax refund for the assessement year 2010-11 for Rs.4290/= was sent to my Mumbai address through speed post ref. no ET[protected]IN was returned back on 14/01/2011 with the reason

"CMPP4202448 Refund cheque returned undelivered by the postal department as address provided by you is incorrect Jan 14, 2011 ET[protected]IN"

Sir I have shifted from Mumbai to Alappuzha kerala and staying here. Now to get back the refund amount I provide my new address which is as follows:

I request you to expedite the refund of my excess income tax paid for the assessment year[protected]. Sir, on my several follow-up visits to your Income Tax Office, at Paradip, Madhuban, I was told that the refund will definitely be made soon before the end of March, 2011. But till this date I did not get my refund.
On one of my visits on 30/05/2011, 1. I saw none of your employees at your office even at 10.45 AM. I learnt that because it was a Monday they take time to reach their office as the previous two days were holidays. The Income Tax Officer of Ward- I, Paradip, Madhuban, informed me that my refund has been cleared from his office on 20/04/2011 for release of my refund. 2. But he failed to satisfy my query as to why it did not reach me even after 50 days. Sir, 3. it is very disappointing to visit your office where tax payers are unwelcome and the attitude of your employees is that of masters of tax payers. 4. Your office spoiled my 2 hours for nothing. I have lodged a complaint in writing with the ITO regarding above subject. As a responsible citizen and tax payer I expect your Dept. do its duty properly, courteously and speedily.
Therefore, I request your goodness to look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest. Thanking you, yours sincerely

Being a very senior citizen of 87 years of age, at time of filing my gross total income of Rs. 1,87,696.00 was well below the exemption limit of 2,40,000 for SENIOR CITIZENS. I run my life on interest earned.
The amount of TDS I am claiming is Rs. 724/-

Due to non receipt of your computation / intimation over a long period, I telephonically requested CPC Bangalore for a hard copy which was finally received at my address only in the middle of June 2011. This was referred to the TRP Mr. Vivek V. Thatte for from dhanvriddhi.com.,mobile no. [protected] , for follow up.

No action or efort to understand the cause of the error and ammend or repay me has been taken by either the TRP or yourselves despite numerous phonecalls. Please appreciate that at my age I am unable to physically run about or know what to do.

I would be highly obliged if you could kindly restore and pay me the due refund of Rs. 724/- and oblige since I fail to comprehend any reason for "no refund due"
