Delivery of faulty Vehicle against purchase of New Car from Spectra Motors - Borivli ( Mumbai)

I have bought a Maruti Ritz car from was delivered the car with Registration no MH-02-BM-3138 vide thir bill no 9787 dtd 20th date 2009 on 23rd Aug 2009 Engine No.1257332 and Chassis No.117412 at their Show room at Borivli East Mumbai.

The car delivered to me had some problem with its Break system or may be some other related systems as was giving prominent sound of some Metal parts rubbing - when breaks are applied.

I had informed about the same to the sales team of Spectra immediately on the same day of receipt of the car. I was asked to bring the car back to them for verification of the complaint.

I took the car to the showroom on 27th Aug 2009 when their Mr Prasad along with one Mr Tiwari took the trial of the car with me. On my pointing the problem to them I was explained that the car is ok & this sound is normal ie every car has this sound.

I had informed about the same to the sales Person Mr Prasad & Ms. Chitra Kale the Chief Customer Care Dept Mob no [protected] of Spectra immediately on the same day of receipt of the car. I was asked to bring the car back to them for verification of the complaint.

I took the car to their showroom on 27th Aug 2009 when their Mr Prasad along with one Mr Tiwari took the trial of the car with me. On my pointing out the problem to them I was explained that the car is ok & this sound is normal i.e. every car has this sound. On my not being satisfied with the explanation I along with the car I was taken to the Works shop to have the same revivified by the expert & one Mr Damodar Mob No [protected] who checked the car & confirmed that the Car has some problems & took the car for doing the needful.

I got the car back next day on 28th Aug 2009 evening with the information that the problem was minor and due to some dust & rain water the sound was coming which they have cleaned & its ok now. I took the trial & found some sound still there which was explained to me that is normal one from the boosters. Accepting their explanation and assuming that tits not a major problem I took the car home but to my surprise the same sound again resurfaced which I informed them.

On last Saturday 5th of this month I have taken up the matter with their Works manager Mr Ankush who took the trail with me in the car & was convinced that the problem persist. He promised to look into the same & have it resolved to my satisfaction. I left the car then & there at around 2 PM with them & was delivered the car back on the same day at 8 pm. I was very happy to find the problem solved which I conveyed to all the concerned but my happiness was short lived as the same sound again surfaced. On my again informing about the same this time the response from them was shocking to me the explanation given to me was that they had tried few other new Ritz vehicles & all of them had this sound.

They now say will refer the matter to Maruti & they will deploy the right Engineers to solve the problem if at all. I feel this is straight a Question mark on your tall claims of Best Car & Best Service.

Maruti Ritz — Delivery of New Car

Dear Sir,
The undersigned is a consumer and customer of Maruti Udyog Limited having purchased her first car, a Maruti-800 in the year, 2003 and the undersigned continues to drive the same. In August 2009, the undersigned decided to buy a new car, however, was rather undecided between Maruti RITZ and i-10 of Hyundai Motors. During the visit to your showroom, Bright 4 wheels, Ring Road, Vikas Nagar, Lucknow on 29.08.2009 the undersigned was pursuaded by the concerned sales executives that she should purchase RITZ. In view of the fact that the undersigned was already a consumer of Maruti Udyog Ltd. and was rather satisfied with their services, she decided that she would purchase RITZ instead of i-10.

As a consequence thereto, the undersigned had booked LXI petrol model of RITZ, colour bakers chocolate on 02.09.2009 and had paid an amount of Rs. 30,000/- to you in lieu thereof. The sales executive who had received the said payment had categorically ensured that the car would be delivered to the undersigned definitely by 20.09.2009 as the undersigned was desirous of purchasing the new car during Navratri. On 20.09.2009 when the undersigned visited your showroom to take the delivery of the new car, she was informed that the desired colour was not available, however, the undersigned was assured that the car would definitely delivered to her on 28.09.2009 i.e. on the day of Dashehra.

On 28.09.2009 the undersigned to her utter dismay was told that the desired car was still not available at the showroom. However, no date was communicated to the undersigned as to when the car would be delivered to her. The undersigned has been contacting your showroom almost every day ever since but has failed to get any response from you regarding the date on which the car would be delivered to the undersigned.

The series of acts has not only shaken the trust and confidence bestowed by the undersigned in Maruti Udyog Limited but has also left the undersigned in a state of confusion as to whether she should wait for the car booked by her or to purchase any other car.

I hope that you would kind enough to consider the grievances of the undersigned and inform her about the date on which the undersigned is supposed to receive the delivery of the new car.

We have maruti 4 vehicle and we are using alto from 2001, we purchase Ritz car in last April months,
From kiran motors Surat.
We facing the break system is very poor from starting but explained that the car is ok & this problem is normal ie every car has this type break.


After two months there was create a problem when we are going to long tour, fan belt was break & bush was missed automatically.
The problem was salve by dealer on road dealer in Ahmadabad.

Sir, really I am not satisfied with this car now our head light system is not working properly

Before three day our car was serviced by kiran motors.

Request to you for do the needful or exchange the car.

Maruti Ritz — servicing

i m the customer of maruti suzuki from last 10 years. at present i am having maruti ritz and maruti van. i gave both of my car in Indore at my car service center and i m totally dissatisfied from there services. there is no sign of customer satisfaction. instead of doing servicing of my car i felt that they cheated me. i also ask for customer feedback form and they refuse to give me that form. so plz take some action otherwise u will start loosing your customers.

Even I am facing the same breaking noice problem with my Vxi model. Repeated repairs have not given any results. So, planning to take it up with higher levels...

Any info on the actual problems if already identified ?

I have bought a MARUTI RITZ - VDI ABS, Chasis NoMA3FDEB[protected]
Engine No. D13A 1232092 on 06-07-09 through INDUS MOTOR CO. PVT LTD., Cochin.
The front left side tyre was finished within 5000 Kms and the dealer replaced the tyrte by the manufacturer. The replaced tyre is also finishing within another 5000 kms now i understands that it is a manufacturing defect and may cure the defects of my vehicle.

Maruti Ritz — BRAKES NOT WORKING PROPERLY

BRAKES ARE COMPARITIVELY WEAK IN COMPARISON TO BODY OF RITZ . BRAKES DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY ON HIGH SPEED .

Hey This is true for me too...however i would like to go further in technical detail, hope the payload weight is 260kgs. i.e. If 4 persons are sitting in the car, i find this issue and down hill also with 2 persons you will find the break drum size is quite small for the vehicle.
I am using Maruti Ritz for the past 8 months, even on heavy monsoon rains last year I took the car out in roads flooded with knee height but still Ritz did note let me down. There was no wearing out of parts. Also I have taken Ritz to very long drives, driving it continuously and absolutely satisfied with its performance

I Submited My Car For Insurance Claim
They Give Me Delivery On 25th Feb
But Now They Said Its take 1 week more time

The Complain is that
1, Santosh Is Authorised Person, After my car they recd. they not call me for any information.
2, Last 3 Days I Called At Work Shop. But they not give me any right answer.
3, At work Shop No One Respossible Person For It. They said we call u. but they dont call me.
4, Santosh's mobile no is not working - no. is +91 [protected]
5. Today i called at workshop they said santosh is not present, workshop manager is not present, thry said no one is responsible for its.

Maruti Ritz — vehicle is getting stopped on the way

Bought maruti ritz on 29th Marth 2011. The Vehicle got stopped on the way several times. Three times it has to tow to workshop. Workshop people are not able to detect the real cause on 6th may 2011 again its stopped in the way and myself had to bear lot of harassment.Workshop people are making only lame excuses. If the matter is not resold i will have to approach press & the consumer court to get relief.
My Vehicle engine No.is 1590952, Chassis No. is 303084
I bought this vehicle from Tara Automobiles, Sitto Gunno Chowk, Abohar.
Even the dealers are telling that the fault is in the make of engine which they are not able to detect.
To save me from such harassment & to up keep your reputation.
You are requested to imedately change my vehicle.

Not only for ritz, the swift also have the same defect.
I have a Ritz ZXI and my car gives this noise when braking from left front wheel since dday 1. I have tried to get this fixed from three various dealers of Maruti in Pune. But no one is able to fix it. They clean the ABS system and the noise is gone for 2-3 days and it reappears.

Couple of times I have been told by the mechanic that is problem persist in Ritz model. How can Maruti be so negligent of such problems.
No point in raising a complaint with Maruit since they just send an email (mostly auto generated) and forget about it.

I have found a solution for this. Never buy Maruti car again.
