[Resolved]  Nokia 5130 Xpressmusic — Issues with BSNL Sim card.

Hi,

I bought a 5130 Xpress Music yesterday an put my BSNL SIM card in.
Then booted up the phone. After that, the device says "Sending a message"
for 6-7 mins, during that time I cant do any operation. After 4 mins, the
phone works fine. After every powerup, it takes 6-7 mins to register with
the network. I asked the device seller (Univercell) and they are saying that
BSNL SIM cards take more time and other sims wont take that much time.
I did not test with other sim card yet.

Is this a normal behaviour with BSNL sims or should I replace the set with
a newer one?

Please help.

This is the same thing with many other Nokia phones.

I have a Nokia 3110 Classic. On every reboot I get the message "Sending a message" for atleast 5 minutes during which time the handset is unusable. After that the message "Temporary error occurred. Pls try again" is displayed.

Flushing your outbox or all your messages or doing a factory reset dont make a difference.

I have an Airtel Card on the same mobile this doesnt occur.

So, Nokia & BSNL (esp. GPRS), is deadly . Beware!
i am also having the same problem its saying that sending a messgae and for me thers also money detction after sending a message for this what should i do...

It is because the SIM is trying to sent the Handset details to BSNL. Actually it should complete within 5sec, but it continue, trying sending the message for 5-6 min when it fails.

This can be stopped by turning off the "Allow sim service action" feature in your mobile.

i have a 5130 xpress music it was working well for few months with bsnl sim card but now when it was switched on due to low battery it switched off twice when it was displaying sending message and now sim card does not woork on any of the phone pls help me on this issue
In my 5130 except airtel all ather networks working, please help me to get rid of this problem
