Nokia — New Mobile handset not working

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

I bought a Nokia Handset (Model # N85, Product Code 057729, IMEI # [protected]) on December 2008. I bought it from The Mobile Store, Velachery, Chennai against proper documentation for a price of INR 23,000 + taxes.

However, since January of this year, I have been repeatedly facing the same problem again and again. And so far has repaired the phone four times in Nokia Cares. The problem with the phone is it restarts/reboots automatically whenever I put it on charge or run any video in the inbuilt real player.

The first time I repaired was in January where The Nokia Care at T. Nagar updated the software and said that the problem has been rectified. That was just a month after I bought the handset! However, I face the same problem again and this time I went to Nokia Care at Royapettah (Rocky Agencies). Again they said the software of my handset needs to be changed (which they did again!). But within a couple of weeks I faced the problem again, so I again went to the same Nokia Care where they said that they need to sent in to their head office. I recieved a call after around twenty-five days. This time I spoke with their manager, Mr. Pandiyan (+[protected]) who assured that there would not be any problem now since it has been repaired from the Head Office.

Things were fine until the phone started giving the same problem. I waited for it to get ok, but when it did not I went to the Nokia Care again on 1st October. This was for the fourth time within ten months. The Job Sheet # for the last repair is[protected]/091001/135.

I was not convinced with the answer I got so I decided to have a word with the Nokia Care customer line at [protected] on 2nd October. They gave me a complaint # 1/[protected]. I had specifically asked for a replacement of my handset since I have repaired it four times in ten months for the same problem. However, when I spoke with the Customer Care line today regarding the status of my complaint, they told me that my handset has been sent for repair to their Head Office and I shall recieve it by 20th of this month.

When I spoke about the replacement, they told me that If it can be repaired they will not give me a replacement. All this while they were repairing my handset and again the problem was there. And my warranty is expiring on December, then what do I do after that.

It is only after all this that I have decided to ask for justice. Please help me with this issue. I want a new handset since my handset is under warranty (and this is a manufacturer fault). Also, I would like to claim a compensation which is deemed necessary by you for the run-around and inconvenience that I have been caused in the past ten months.

Nokia 3500c IMEI No 353080023627545 — Display complaint

I had purchased 1 no nokia3500c model and my warranty just expired. Now my phone showing display error ie the no and messages can;t read.I repaired the phone in Nokia Care,Prime Cell Alappuzh and they suggested to replace the Display and replaced the display @ Rs 900/-( vide bill No.A473, dated 29/08/09.After two days use the same complaint repeate and I show s the Nokia service Engineer and he again suggested to replace the 2 Nos IC"s with cost of 750/-. I show the mobile to another nokia care centre, they change the IC"s and also fixed the old Display showing very good performance and say that the problem is for IC, not for the dISplay.The Nokia Care did not taken back the Display that i purchased from there.Now phone working with out any problem.

I regret this type of service

Nokia N 95 Hand Set — harassment by Nokia Care

Dear sir,

I have purchased two Nokia N 95-1GB hand set IMEI NO. (1) [protected] (2) [protected] from Shree Mobile Wala , Apsara Complex,Motijheel, Muzaffarpur (Bihar) vide Retail Invoice No.1884 and 1885 dated [protected] . When I faced the problem of slider jam camera shutter jam in my first said set then I went to Nokia Care , Ganpati Mobile Bank, G-1, Usha Arcade , Near Lalita Hotel, East Boring Canal Road Patna 800001 and deposited hand set vide Job sheet No. B 972 dated[protected] with the expected date of delivery[protected]. I frequently went to Nokia Care for getting back my hand set but they did not give my set. After one and half month Manager of Nokia Care said me that your Mobile has lost and offer me a too old repaired set which is unacceptable to me because my set was as good as new and there were many of mine personal data like data related from bank and from my job was in that set which can be used by antisocial element or criminals.

I also faced the problem of left key jam in my second hand set then I went to said Nokia Care . It was told me that said problem does not cover warranty I agreed and paid Rs. 2500 vide Cash receipt no. 123 of Nokia Care dated[protected] for repairing of said problem. After one and half month my second hand set become dead automatically then I went to Nokia Care to solve the problem, it was said to me that said problem does not cover warranty then I asked for contact No. Of Service Engineer from Manager of Nokia Care , He didn’t give me and also offered Rs. 4000 to sell the hand set, I refused his offer and deposited my hand set for repairing vide Technical verification Receipt No.1330 dated[protected]. I would like to inform you also that both hand set is under warranty.

Behavior of Nokia Care Manager and some staff are intolerable and suspicious. For my first set Manager made me helpless to file a case at consumer forum, patna and I left the second set at Nokia Care for the sake of god. I am 28 year old unmarried young man .Now I have become the patient of blood pressure from the behaviour of said Nokia Care.

So it is my personal request to you to take necessary action as quickly as possible for getting back my first set and for proper repair of second set.
