yes its 100% true my N8 is also the same... just bought it on 6th December 2010 and its hanging everyday and yesterday i took it to nokia care and they give it back after one hour and software update and nothing happend it again hanged today just like it hanged yesterday...

Nokia — Refusal of the repairing of the set which was under warranty

I bought Nokia N79 on[protected] with one year warranty. It got some problem with its jack so I took it to the Nokia care for repair but they refuse it to repair saying that its warranty is already lapsed. I showed them the bill but still they refused to repair it.

Sub: Harrasment and Fraud from from Nokia / Nokia Care Centre.
This is to bring to your kind notice that I bought Nokia N – N97 Mini (IMEI No: [protected]) on 23/08/2010 vide bill no 3324 from Joshi Sons, Noida amounting Rs. 18,550/-. (Bill enclosed).
I was shocked and surprised that after around 50 days the touch screen of the phone stopped working and when we contacted Joshi Sons they have advised us to Deposit our phone with Nokia Care Centre-Noida.
On Oct 27, 2010 I have deposited my phone to Nokia Care Centre i.e. Micronas Telecom, C-4, Sector -2, Noida. Till date they are taking me for a ride and asked me to come to their service centre 6 times. My Executive Mr. Ravinder Bisht has visited the centre on the following dates:
27/10/2010 to deposit the phone: 35 kms. (To and Fro from Office)
2/11/2010: 35 Kms. (Follow up)
8/11/2010: 35 Kms. (Follow up)
15/11/2010: 35 Kms. (Follow up)
17/11/2010: 35 Kms. (Follow up)
23/11/2010 : 35 Kms. (Mr. Pradeep from Nokia Care centre called up and ask us to take a new phone under replacement – Mobile No : +[protected]
To our utter surprise when Mr. Ravinder Bisht has gone to collect a new phone they have handed over the old set, which he refused to accept.
Prayer: Please note that I have bought a new phone under one year warranty and I do not want an old phone back which was lying with Nokia Care Centre for almost a month. I don’t know what kind of problem I will face in the future with the same handset as it is a hi-tech delicate phone.
Kindly give a receipt of the letter as to enable me to file a case in Consumer Court Noida as now I will appeal for the refund of money along with our cost of commuting and harassment along with interest of money.

Now they are harrasing me and forcing me to take the old repaired set. Pls help me.

Nokia — More than one month not able to use my phone

My pain, agony, anguish, suffering, harassment started 3rd November 2010 when I bought the Mobile phone bearing the [EMEI number – [protected]]. The phone didn’t work the first day itself. The shopkeeper has replaced with new set very next day.

The new phone was again started giving me issues and problem. I got my phone deposited at Nokia Care Center on 24th Of November 2010 [Job Sheet Number –[protected]/101124/18] and till date I’m without my phone.

Even after paying 26K for my phone, I’m not able to use my phone and to add salt to my wounds the Nokia Care with their highly unfriendly employees (Mr. Antariksh, Ms surbhi, Mr. Akash Manus Mere and rest of Mr. Nagarng Team). The Nokia Customer Care have registered the complain with complain number Complain ID – 1-[protected] and SR 1-11C10201671. I have to make atleast 4-5 calls daily to get the update.

I would like to raise the matter to Nokia higher authority about the unethical, unprofessional, immoral, dishonest, unprincipled employee and the harassment they have caused to me. After paying the handsome amount of 26K if someone is not able to use the use, please advice how will you react to it.

Requesting you to please help me….in getting following answer

1) When would I getting my Phone back.
2) How Nokia would compensate for discomfort and agony I have gone through for last one month inspite of paying the all amount for the phone.

The question you should ask yourself is how much is worth of the phone you're using currently that nokia will reward you with such huge amount that you're not aware of e.g $215000.
Pls kindly Ignore their message(s) because you did not participate in any on going Nokia promo in the first place.
If you're participating in any form of promo or promotion the first thing you will do if you're interested is to either play or text your nokia number e.g Nokia C3 to Nokia.com & will not never ask you to send money to them online to send your prize won to you or select courier service to claim your prize.
Pls don't send your money & details to them, its their personal email address. there nothing like [protected]@london e.t.c,
Those guys knew that average human being likes money & they will pay attention when it comes to issue of money & that is why many people find it difficult to ignore or delete the the message even after you knew that you did not participate in any draw, They woks on information, Please beware of scam message(s).
If you win also Nokia will not request for your bank account or ask you to send anything through courier service.
Nokia management should stop this fraud messages from fraudster.

i had given my mobile n79 for a minor defect in display during its warranty period and was assured that job will be done free of cost but later they asked me to pay for it as they had changed the whole display, i paid the amount but i found that the display was of lower resolution and the same problem cropped up again.
