[Resolved]  Professional Couriers — Refusal of Delivery of Package

i have a package sent to me through Professional couriers.
This is being refused delivery on the grounds that previous time the courier came for another delivery they asked my Telephone number and i refused to provide the same. i do not see any law that compels us to provide our telephone numbers to others. i said i am obliged to provide proof of identity but due to constant mis-use by advertisers of the mobile numbers i am not ready to share my number.

now this time the package is being idelivery by professional couriers without telephone number
complaint to their head office in Pune received same response and the phone was disconnected half way while speaking and was not picked on repeated attempes.

The name of the person given was Nilofer Nadar, Branch Manager, Magarpatta, Professional couriers
