Address:Maharashtra

Another bogus multi level marketing scam introducing Qi Group's e-commerce based business model...had the opportunity of being introduced to the workings of this virtual enterprise...the second quickest route to becoming a crorepati after KBC of course...ek lakh do phir teen-char saal tak logon ko topi pehnao aur crorepati bano...the common thread tying these pple together is they're all frustrated in their jobs - overworked n underpaid (most of them come from media/advertising backgrounds n understandably so)...they're all looking for a way out, an escape route...a way to earn a quick buck...well so the pitch started by them asking me what I do in life their trap was aimed at getting out of me how frustrating my current job was & then pitching to me this brilliant foolproof crorepati route...so I was curious I said I like to try out new things currently I'm in the midst of things n haven't figured anything out fr myself...so it seemed to them that I was a good bakra...they went on with ratta rattaya gyan like the company was started by some few economists n it was named in Forbes as the fastest growing company none of which I found on Google as true in fact it is owned by an Indian born Malaysian businessman who there are reports has been sought after by the Interpol...then they went on to speak of products the company deals in which they claim are amazing Five Star Resort Stays at throw away prices...some water enhancing system that works like magic n pple can stay awake fr like 36 hours it also helps diabetics in sme way nt sure...I'm nt saying this is true or false point is it sounds too good to be true n until u try it u won't know...point is this system works like Amway only it is virtual so even though I was given links to check out their products if I want to buy something I can only buy it via someone who's registered with it...also these links don't mention the price so how do I decide whether I even want to buy something without all the information...in effect I have to meet this person who's registered tell him/her to show me the product with the prices then decide...so if someone needs to invest so much time into one customer purchasing how is it economical n isn't e-commerce supposed to b an economical model...well in a way it is economical as the company owners don't pay these guys anything to acquire customers...they do get some commission for every person who signs up / buys anything from the site though but nothing fr spending time on those who turn u down... so it's like ur own business they tell u it's better than owning a restaurant or a pan tapri as u won't have to work for 8 hours u can work wen u like while vacationing or while sitting in a coffee shop as obviously they have no office so for the initial capital u invest which is anything in between 1 to 6 lakhs (there is a 40K wala option also but it is not mentioned/ recommended by the experts- commission kum hoga) u can start ur own virtual enterprise (WOW)...then u have to get 2 more people under you directly so u have to go out there talk to friends/family/colleagues n whoever's stupid enough to invest at least 1 lakh each for joining...then similarly as u became bakra u have to make these pple bakra in turn they'll bakra 2 more pple each so totally 50 pple have to bcme bakra fr me to even recover my one lakh...I can't even calculate 3 crores ke liye kitne topi pehnane honge...n trust me i[censored] happen to meet any of these jokers u'll realize hw none of them have even counted a crore rupees even while playing monopoly bt here they are selling short cut schemes to get there...itne saal amway karke kitne log crorepati bane...think bout it!

good post neeraj...u've really put things in perspective...in these times of economic turmoil people are a lot more vulnerable to these 'shortcut to millions' than ever...just the other day i had a conversation with a person whose spouse had been bitten by the same 'mlm millionaire' model which has led to a major resource drain for the family...this is almost reminiscent of the ill effects of gambling and alcohol... scary!!!
@ tina7j: hahaha loved your part where they tried to bring out frustration in you.
guess what happened with me?
they asked me what do i do? i said business.
then they immediately started the rant about struggle/time/money/capitals and whether I would be interested in 'diversifying'
I told them I was happy to struggle and that this was a part of business. The look on their faces was priceless; they didnt know how to sell their service.
But I continued to see what scam is the latest trend in the market.
Its hopeless!

For those in favor of QI, please note that:
1. Its NOT business that you so proudly flaunt, Its COMMISSION.
2. You are paying outright 1L to 7.5L to make someone else rich.
3. Your offices are CCDs. Your 'profits' arent sufficient to sustain a rented shop, let alone Rs 3 CR. The matter should be reported to CCDs, else sitting in CCDs will start becoming nightmare.
This is really interesting discussion. MLM is nothing but a marketing strategy to fool others and make money out of it! If you google you'll see a lot of victims who have lost their money. here is another victim! :-) http://bit.ly/ZuL6xz

So beware and stay out of such traps!
hi need to get more information from QI grop member who is already a crorepati... please share your details... Dolly

What a bummer...a day wasted.
Traveled all the way from Thane to Bandra CCD for a business opportunity my 'friend' referred me to.
I was not given the name of the company or the fact that its network marketing even when i insisted on knowing on the phone. I had to go meet them in person to know even this much ( my friend told emotionally blackmailed me by saying she though I would trust her and go). All she told me beforehand is its an e-commerce business and that they are looking for business partners. I was also asked to bring my resume which I refused. A ''senior partner'', a guy from dombivili said that its not a guarantee that I would be selected and that there was some criteria, When I complained to my friend, she insisted its not an interview and to at least go and meet.

Huge mistake as I was given the same rant all of the above have been given. I was not even offered coffee in a COFFEE SHOP! And the girl who according to them was super senior or even boss was talking about earning crores. And she didnt have the money to ask for coffee to someone who has traveled from far. She said she has been working in the business for 14 months now. Where is the money she claims that comes from the business? And yes...she had come in an auto. I was asked if I took my own decisions or took my familys advice as well. I was then told its better to make own decisions without familys consultation. And was given gyan about it. Were they worried if I consulted my family, I would be warned against them. And at the end of the meeting they forgot about selecting... and just wanted my PAN card on the spot.

I say to such people ' Open your eyes and smell the coffee! You are not an entrepreneur but a salesperson or someone on commission and slowly on the way of becoming con-artists. Otherwise why would you hesitate to take the companys name? Why would you pretend to select people and look at their CV? Why not give us time to think about it..why hurry us? You are not just conning us... ur conning urselves by convincing urself that what you are doing for the good of others too. But you know it in ur heart...

Hi Tina

I have gone through even a worst experience with QI/QNet. If you have lost any money with QI/Qnet or have been scammed (or know someone who has), try the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police. They take this seriously and have filed FIRs and taken action against MLM frauds like SpeakAsia and MMM etc on complaints from ordinary people They may get your money back or atleast save others from getting trapped in this scam. Their address is:

Hello Friends,

Even I attended there session yesterday...n believe me they are magicians because they have that fraud power to show u big picture.

" Freedom of finance " is something which they told me.

Even the watch and attire of that lady who suppose to be some senior partner is not worth enough.

She was wearing fast track watch n telling me that she is going to buy "BMW".

U need to be rich enough to tell rich lies.

Still I can see that colour which got faded when she asked for a credit card and I said " I don't have ".

Message to company :- Please don't destroy the relationship between family and friends because they are the most valuable assets of life.

Hard work is something which will pay you ...not a shortcuts.

Thank you all

CRIME BRANCH OF MUMBAI POLICE REGISTERS AN FIR AGAINST QNET - ARRESTS TO FOLLOW - SEE ARTICLE LINK BELOW IN TIMES OF INDIA

EOW registers case against multi-level marekting firm, QNet, for fraud

Mateen Hafeez, TNN | Aug 16, 2013, 08.32PM IST
MUMBAI: The city EOW on Friday registered a case against multi-level marketing firm, QNet, for allegedly duping thousands of investors by selling them plastic and glass products terming them miraculous objects for treating severe diseases like Cancer.

A police officer said that the company, which had been selling its product through qnetindia.in has its head quarters in Hong Kong. The company lured investors with various schemes with an investment between Rs 30, 000 and Rs seven lakh. "The firm posed as a marketing firm which would sell bio-disc, watches, chiPendants, gold coins, herbal products, E-education packages, holiday packages etc. They even claimed that by using the bio disc one can cure cancer and barain related diseases, " said a police officer. "We are probing the case and will soon make arrests, " said Rajvardhan Sinha, additional commissioner of police.

A police team visited Bangalore on Friday to trace the culprits. It has named five accused in the FIR. The complainant, Gurupreetsing Anand, 40, a computer consulatant from Lokhandawala, stated that his wife was duped of Rs 30, 000 by some people who had introduced themselves as the independent representatives of QNe. "They had said that one of the bio-products my wife bought could be used to treat my 12-year-old son's brain related diseases, " Anand told police. The police suspect that at least one thousand people have been duped in Mumbai alone. The accused had even organized a two-day seminar in a Bandra college on April 14 this year. The investors were promised Rs 35, 000 commission/profit for bringing three new members.

The firm claimed that bio disc had magical powers and can change the molecular structure of water. "One of the wanted accused Vinay Esvaran, had earlier floated two firms; Gold Quest and Quest Net Enterprisses, in India and duped thousands of people. These two firms were also popular in Egypt, Afghanistan and Malayasia. We are trying to zero in on Esvaran and will soon arrest him, " the officer said.
This is a ponzi - money pyramid scheme on a large scale. Those at the top will make money. Those at the bottom will lose.

I chose to stay away.
One common word seen in most of the comments against QNet is "investment".Let me tell these ultra wise souls that I am a part of QNet but I have not made any "investment".All that I had done was to buy a holiday package at a very competitive price. For me it was not an "investment" but just an expense which I would have incurred anyway, if not from QNet, I would have bought a similar package from from any travel agent at a much higher price.Let me tell all those geniuses that it is a very simple concept but definetly NOT AN EASY ONE.It demands hard work. After meeting with QNet guys, if you go home dreaming that you will get up as a "crorepati" next morning, it is your problem.

C'mon guys wake up from your long slumber to face reality. There are many people involved in this. I was cheated by Deepak Kankani, Saru Kankani, his wife and Sweta Agarwal. They happened to be my School mates and they took the money on trust basis and playing pshycologiacal game with me of frienship and trust. I am really ashamed of such people, when asked to return the money they started using Offensive language and abuse us. A real shame on such friends.
HI, , , ,

Arguing with fools (read QI wellwishers) is like participating in special olympics, you may win but in the end you still are ... you know what I mean...
Forbes magazine's strange activism on behalf of the shady MLM QNet
Jitu MoniGurupreetJitu

A blog published by the international magazine Forbes on the founder of QNet, a notorious multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme, has been touted by agents of the company as a blue-chip endorsement. Now the same writer goes a step further to defend them by attacking Moneylife’s stance on the dodgy scheme. Not surprisingly, QNet, which refused to answer direct questions posed by Moneylife, appears to have provided detailed answers to this writer

Donald Frazier, a writer at Forbes, has done it again. This time, he endorses QNet, a typical MLM scheme, which has been luring hundreds of thousands Indians the same way Speak Asia did, while attacking Moneylife. The endorsement contains answers to specific queries raised by us. What is astonishing is that Frazier claims not to have met any detractors of QNet. Here is the latest on Forbes’ endorsement of a dubious operation that our Ministry of Corporate Affairs and its Serious Frauds Investigation Office (SFIO) are claiming to investigate.

The blog by Frazier on the website of Forbes Asia has repeatedly found mention in the comments section of Moneylife’s many articles on QNet as a credible endorsement of the scheme and its Malaysian-born promoter, Vijay Eswaran. The comments, ostensibly from independent representatives (IRs) of QNet, seek to allay the fears of potential victims of the scheme. When Moneylife tweeted the India editor of Forbes magazine to find out if it really was endorsing QNet, our articles were apparently brought to Frazier’s attention.

Since then, Frazier has tried to draw Moneylife into a dialogue and attempted to get us to supply him with a list of QNet detractors—something no self-respecting journalist ought to do. Now he has published a bigger endorsement of QNet, which, strangely enough, has Moneylife and its managing editor as its centrepiece. Does this mean that Moneylife’s investigation into the Singapore-registered QNet’s obviously shady business is hitting home? Read on for details.

Frazier’s latest blog starts with the strange premise that he invited Sucheta Dalal, managing editor of Moneylife and founder-trustee of Moneylife Foundation, to use his blog as a “neutral site” for providing information on QNet. This is strange because Moneylife is an e-paper, in competition with Forbes, and we have posted several articles about QNet, which detail our standpoint. Frazier, however, seems confused about the difference between media entities and a shady corporate entity that would need his blog—either as a friendly or hostile site—to post views.

Mr Frazier also claimed that “She (Ms Dalal) also opted to not identify self-professed ‘victims’ of QNet who, she says, came out in one of her for-pay seminars in Mumbai a few weeks ago." This is interesting because Moneylife Foundation’s seminar was attended by two senior officers from the government’s SFIO who not only heard the victims but also participated in the discussion. There was an audience of over 50 persons that day.

He then goes on to pick up some direct and specific questions that Moneylife had posed to Zaheer Merchant, QNet’s director for corporate communications. Mr Merchant has yet to respond to us directly, but apparently made time to give Frazier a point-by-point reply. Ironically, the answers only prove our point that QNet’s reaction to our writings—way back in 2009—were to immediately offer an all-expenses paid trip to Hong Kong to Ms Dalal to “check out their operations”. It is not clear why an MLM selling holiday packages, watches and trinkets globally needs to fly journalists to Hong Kong. Mr Merchant says that many journalists accepted QNet’s invitation—it would be interesting to get a list of names, because analysing their writings on QNet, before and after visiting Hong Kong, would establish the impact of the trip.

The emails between Mr Frazier and Ms Dalal that are self explanatory...

On 3 December 2012, Mr Frazier wrote...

Dear Ms. Dalal -

Greetings, and I hope you are well.

You've apparently been much more successful than I have in finding detractors of QNet. Last week I sent you a message with a greater idea: what if you were to summarize all of the allegations o[censored]nsavory and illegal behavior by the company? I would run it in my column in Forbes, and demand that QNet answers them publicly.

I should post a column on reactions to the story anyway. I can get answers to all of your questions, helping your readers and mine.

Here's the link: http://www.forbes.com/sites/donaldfrazier/2012/10/24/selling-a-better-life/ (Originally in Forbes Asia's print edition for November.)

I hope to do this is a few days; please reply so that I know you received this,

On the same day, Ms Dalal replied, saying...

Dear Mr Frazier

Greetings and many thanks for your email. I guess you have written to me because everybody lured by QNet is quoting the "positive" coverage that QNet received from Forbes.

I am not sure you know, but we run a magazine (smaller than Forbes, certainly, but we are in the publication business). Our website www.moneylife.in has a big reach and our e-magazine goes out to over 75, 000 people every day.

I am not sure why WE should summarise anything for YOU to publish in your BLOG. Completely flummoxed by the suggestion. Wouldn't it be far better if you were to visit our website, search for QNet and find everything we have to say on the matter for yourself?

If you are truly saying that you have not found anyone with anything negative to say about QNet, I can only say that you have not looked hard enough. We had several people at our seminar in Mumbai who would have happily provided details. Maybe a visit to the Serious Frauds Investigation Office in Mumbai or the police in Hyderabad will also help you get information.

I trust this is useful.

On 4 December 2012 Mr Frazier replied...

Hi Ms Dalal, and many thanks for your prompt, substantive note.

Yes, I was quite surprised to find my story commonly described as an ‘endorsement, ’ as if coverage of any company confers a quasi-official ‘seal of approval’ on its activities. Mainly, given our focus on individual entrepreneurs at Forbes, it’s a story about the ascent of QNet’s founder who, you gotta admit, has indeed become rich and famous this way.

I’ve just discovered Moneylife. Your creation? I think its mixture of news coverage, commentary, blogging, tweeting and events could very well point the way for the future of journalism—at least in India, where the Jain brothers et al seem to be far in advance of the West in breaking down old conventions. I love its energetic tone of righteous indignation!

To answer your question, I thought you might prefer to assemble these various charges because that would give you a more cohesive, harder-hitting document. (Must confess: I also thought you might have fun with the confronting Qnet directly in my space.)

But no worries: I’ll take your advice, by gathering the disparaging references from Moneylife, your blog, your twitter feed etc, and running them in one document, and asking QNet to reply. I’ll be sure to attribute them to you. But some of these are more like allusions. For example, consider a twitter reply of 19 November, by a Ritesh Anand?@Rites40: @suchetadalal “Mam I am a direct victim of QuestNet/Goldquest, really want to kill those , All these MLM are pure fraud.” Great copy, but it doesn’t give us as lot of information to go on.

(BTW I’m not a blogger—all of my stories for Forbes and Forbes Asia are for the paid print operation and subject to the same fact-checking, editing and so on. Forbes corporate uses the blogging platform to post everything they publish—no wonder you got the wrong impression.)

I’d be delighted to feature the people from your seminar in Mumbai. Bring them on!

I’ll do this over the next few days; please feel free to forward anything you’d like me to add to the mix.

Cheers – and thanks again for inspiring what will be a spirited dialogue.

On the same day, Ms Dalal replied, saying...

Greetings Mr Frazier...

Moneylife—our website also collates authentic information and cross checks it with the police, serious frauds office and government ministries.

Just for your information, we will not collate uninformed comments on Twitter or Facebook and use them in our reports or stories. Also, just by way of background, Debashis Basu (editor & founder of Moneylife) and I have over 27 years of journalistic experience, mainly in India's mainline press. So it’s not a little fun blog—and the “righteous indignation” you speak of is borne out of close observation of the Indian business scenario.

So no, we won’t “bring it on" .. We think each o[censored]s ought to do our own research and our own writing. Many thanks for your offer.

There are other things that the Forbes columnist apparently failed to notice when he was trawling the internet for Twitter feeds and comments. QNet and its IRs or sales agents specialise in creating duplicate domain names to manipulate search engines like Google. Moneylife had a firsthand experience of this. Maybe Mr Frazier should check this link: http://forbesmagazineqnet.1672098.free-press-release.com/.

Another result that appears on Google bears the title "Forbes Asia - Official QNet Blog – Qnet” (yes, the QNet people have used Forbes Asia as their page title!) The entry on this blog page says, "Vijay Eswaran in Forbes Philanthropy Heroes List!" Do we, or Mr Frazier, need more proof that shows how his article in Forbes is being misused by QNet to endorse its ‘business’?

QNet has done this to Moneylife as well. Check out moneylife.qnetlife.in and moneylife.qnetlife.net, which is clearly the handiwork of the QNet team and designed to mislead. Finally, here is a first-person account from a well-known television journalist, Ashu Dutt, on how he and his family became a victim of QNet. He sent this to Mr Frazier with a copy to us…

Donald:

I got your reference from Sucheta Dalal. As a backgrounder I was the Chief Consulting Editor of Bloomberg TV and ET Now, Editor and Senior Anchor at CNBC-TV18 and Senior Anchor at NDTV/Star News. I am also a bestselling author of over a dozen books. So I hope this provides you with credibility in terms of a "detractor".

QI/QNet/QuestNet/GoldQuest/Faith Network is not just a fraud, but they lure women to break away from their families and then go after the family money. My own wife fell into this trap. I have 3 little children and she has put their future in jeopardy. They first lured her into their web using hypnotists (their Mumbai kingpin, Manjunath Hegde, is a hypnotist and they proudly declare him to be a "master of the mind". The network in Mumbai is run through another cult-like organization called "Faith Network".

Once this was done, they got her to put money from our house and relatives. Then they told her to kidnap our children and run away to Thailand (my kids are US and Thai citizens). Fortunately, Indian immigration stopped her from going to Thailand.

This is my story. I can tell you that there are hundreds of Indian families that have been ruined by these people. In Mumbai, they use hypnotism and cult-like practices (wearing white clothes with blue pendants).

Once they trap the women, they go after their wealth. My wife has now gone on to take over our assets by changing directors and doing all kinds of illegal corporate stuff guided by QI kingpins.

This is my personal experience and I come from your fraternity. I must say I was very dismayed to see a magazine of your standing put out an article about people who use hypnosis and destroy families.

QNet openly uses your article to mislead people. While it may just be an article for you, hundreds of homes have been destroyed. People are being sold Ponzi schemes in a country where the level of financial literacy and understanding of legal rights is very poor.

Hope you will do something to correct this distorted picture

Regards
Ashu Dutt
Was gng thru with all the reviews, not sure what to comment and what to suggest, , One of my friend told me about this business, and said he is working from past 6 months and earning about 1 lac or more a month. I asked him about the business and product told cannot reveal anything and this information has to come from his senior partner. I was bit hesitate to get into this and asked him again but he didn't reveal anything except the fact its E-commerce . Common E-Commerce is a huge business and got so many things so many vertical millions of products to sell.
He told to invest about 3-4 lacs initially and you will get double in 6-8 months. When I asked him how its possible all he said "Hard Work', "Efforts" and "The Quality of Time you spent" then you will earn like anything . Still, , I was not quite happy with that answer and he further referred me to his senior partner. That bugger took 3 hours and didn't reveal anything except the fact of interfering in our personal life. I noticed one thing he was trying to get in that mode where i should say YES. I'm In. like he was saying what will happen to your parents when you die, why do you want to work 9-10 hours daily when here you can spend just 2hrs, don't do you want to spend luxuries life, getting a BMW car and a flat and expensive mobiles and he was telling me life is too small, spend you time with your family, you are getting old and they are getting older. They will be one more one day and same goes with you. Enjoy your life and get what you want and fulfil your dreams and Desire. Said everything is possible yes its possible when you become our partner. After 3 hours also he didnt talk anything about the business and neither about the product. One day my friend was there who was sitting quite and seeing all this and other hand his senior partner was trying to drag in to something.
All i have few questions and if someone can answer will appreciate that.
1) Why this people are not revealing anything?
2) How can anyone earn 3-5 lacs a month and then every one should be Ambani, tata birla rit?
3) why this people are referring to every partners if we say "NO" so that we should say a "YES".
4) My friend told he is travelling abroad ... Common he doesn't have a passport and his senior partner was telling you can also travel along with him i already booked many tickets.. common we are not talking Movie Tickets?
5) Is it a SCAM?????????
I didn't tell anything to my friend, i also told a NO .told him cannot get into this business until and unless you tell me about business and name and finally he told me just the name ."QI" Just watching what is he trying to do and he told i already investment 3 lacs and pressuring me to join the business.
Can anyone have any answer for this, if yes please let me know and help. I dont have anything for anyone in fact i pray to almighty everyone should be rich and should be happy in their life, however not thru with any scams and not dragging anyone in to the trouble. dont want anyone to ruin someone;s lives. stay happy and live healthy thank you.
Even I got demo today and they showed the profit in 3D mode.

Hope this will not workout .

they asked what is the bank balance you( including Credit card balance), I replayed that I have 2L.

immdly she said only 1 possition is remaining. If you block that by paying 2 lks. It will be yours.

Remaining 7 lks you can pay in 1 week.

To ear 9 lakhs, my dad took 5 yrs. How come this lady can give 9 lakhs in 9 weeks :)
