Recenly I have received activation code for sweepstake-2009 on my e-mail from reader's Digest. I hve activated the same. I have also submitted my subcription money but I am not gatting my copy of the magazine Reader's Digest.When I try to contact them on the E-mail address, there is no response. The Yahoo people inform me that my message is not received by the host.
The following thing has also happened to me. I also do not believe in such kind of offer but because of Reader's Digest reputation I tried my luck. I have come to the conclusion if such reputed company can dupe people, I will not believe any in company in future.It is a lesson to me and for many.----A. K .Prasad
Sweepstakes truth
Let me first clarify that I have nothing against Reader’s digest. In fact I am still a fan of the magazine. I just want to share my experiences about Reader’s Digest Sweepstakes competition, which promises total Rs.10, 000, 000.00 worth of prize money. It all started the day I received an offer from Reader’s Digest to subscribe the magazine for one [protected]@379/-. I opted for it and started getting the magazines at the designated address at regular intervals. Then came the offer of Sweepstakes one day. Normally I never entertain such offers. First time in life I decided not to ignore and fell into the trap. This is just because of great reputation of the reader’s digest. The offer stated that I am one of the rare lucky contestants who have been selected for the offer and I have already cleared two preliminary rounds (god knows how) and my permissions are needed to proceed further. I was delighted and agreed promptly. And why not - they were even paying the postal charges for the from of agreement. Then I started to receive a series of letters almost every week stating that I am inching closer to the prize. The letters brought with them different offers to subscribe to other books published by RD family.The days of generosity were gone. I was paying the postal charge by now because I decided against subscribing to any other book. If you subscribe then only they pay your postal charges! This went on for about six months, during which I became desperate to find out where it ends. Then gradually my desperation turned into frustration (THANK GOD) and I decided to stop replying to their letters. Thank god I did not spend more money by subscribing to some other book of RD family. I am not sure whether to blame Reader’s Digest for this, but I surely am disappointed by such mean business policy from my favorite magazine.

Dear M.Mohan(Chairman of the Sweepstakes Committe), I had received the Cash Awards Statement on 14.04.10 along with encoded Blue and Yellow Label but the Green Car Seal was missing on the documents sent through Identified Envelope by Code-I-B0131-10(V 010131S11).Will you kindly do the needful in this regard at the earliest otherwise it will not be possible to sent the documents within 14 days.However the missing Green Car Seal is being searched from the Letter Box premises/Postman. ..it is all ...iam commenting this out of my own personal experience...they are just fooling the people by giving false information like, a toyota car, by posting cheques and telling us that v will become millionaire, crorepati...etc...dont ever trust such people...its just a bogus and ...
