I bought a Samsung phone on 17/7/2012 from Samsung shop at Phoenix High Street Mumbai. Purchase experience was excellent. After about 7 days Contacts would open slowly. Called showroom said remove battery and restart. Did so problem vanished. I also found that Battery was draining out very fast.
Visited Service Centre in Lower Parel on 1/8/. Said Hardware problem we shall repair. I asked for a free replacement. They said call Customer Care. Spoke with Atul first who said that all hardware problems must be reported within 4 days of purchase. I told him this was neither mentioned in the invoice nor told to me at the Samsung shop. Next spoke to supervisor Manil who told me that when I buy any Samsung product must visit the service centre to know terms n conditions. I said this is absurd no company has ever told me this.
He asked me to speak with Service Centre Manager which I did on 3/8/ who said Mother Board needs to be replaced.
This is clearly a defective piece, want a free replacement but Samsung wants to repair. I have written to General Manager Samsung Customer Service and await his reply. After paying 23000/ to get a defective piece it really pains. Hope Samsung will take care of my complaint, a happy regular user of other Samsung products.
