i-mate jama mobile phone — defective set

I am Dr Amit Tirth, dental surgeon from moradabad, my brother Mr Anurag Jain had ordered two i-mate jama phones,through deals4all on dated 18/1/08 product number is[protected] and 21/1/08 product number[protected] through ICICI credit card. As one he has gifted to me and i am using in moradabad and the other he is using in delhi itself. There is some problem with both the hand sets that I am elisting below:-
1. While using internet through phone when we disconnect the phone it became hanged
2. The sim card slot is very tight that i have to use some thing to take out the sim card
3. While keeping the phone for an hour or more without using it, the screen become white and the led in the top of the screen become red as that happened in charging process
4. Some times after making a call, the phone became switch off, and it become dead after that then i have to take out the battery and then it starts up.
5. After inserting a memory card the phone regularly ask for downloading the musical library yes/no again and again.
6. Photograph taken From the Phone And Transferring Them To Pc They Become Hazzy in PC, Settings Are Ok.
7. After making a complaint to your customer care executive, he guided me to reset the phone that is hard reset, by doing that the problem will be solved automatically but after that also the situation is same. Then i again called up your customer care and then they ask me to send the mobile phone back.
Sir, I tried a lot to send you my mobile phone through curier but none of the curier service accepted a mobile phone, no one is taking a guarantee of that.
Besides spending 7000 Rs I had made calls for more than 1000 Rs for the solution of my problem, but unfortunately I didn’t get a feed back from your part. I am a doctor and this problem giving me a lot of trouble in my day to day job.

Imate Jama — No replacement of mobile received after 2 month

Dear Sir,

kindly note that i have taken IMATE JAMA mobile for Rs.6990/ thru credit card. but this mobile had a problem after two month. so i sent that to compac internaion kandivali. they told that they will give replacement. i also contact customer care deals for all for the same. but both are tell that you will get it next week wait for some time currently stock not avilable

Imate Jama — Service issue

I am Lokesh, using Imate-JAMA from last 4 months. Now i am facing a problem in it, its getting hanged after finishing any call. I am trying to restart it but its not starting hanged on a very first window. 5 days back my brother visited to your service center as my bill is somewhere from Mumbai somebody of service center said that it will not be repaired here in Delhi, we 'll have to go to Mumbai to repair it.


I sent a my IMEI number to service center's email id they given the below reason.

"This imei is not imported by Imate India, is being imported by Compact international and they give private warranty, so pls contact Compact international for this device."

Now issue is that if i am using Imate's cell then why i can not get service from Imate's service center.

Imate Jama — Both product and service sucks

Hi,

I have bought an Imate Jama phone through a website in the month of June. It took long one month to get the phone and i am not going to old stories as its over long back.

the product was not at all upto the mark and it started showing complaint as soon as i started using it. I had to give it for service at M/S Fine fone solutions at Bangalore and i got it back after a couple of days. some of the problems were rectified and the major problem was still in persistance. The coverage was soo poor and I was not able to use it inside my house and when i was using my old Nokia phone, it was all fine. I was more keen on owning a more sophisticated phone thats what led me commit the biggest mistake of my life.

I had to give this phone agin to the same service center for the same complaint . As usual the reply was they will get back to me in a day or two. When i contacted them, they told the mother board has to be replaced and it has tom come from Dubai and it may take 10 to 15 days apprx. Fine.. acceptable. I have called them after 20 days, cold reply .. it might take 10 more days and they told they will try to make it earlier. Even after regular follow up, i have not got any confirmation. Rather i am really upset with the way they reply.. its damn cold.

They have given me the service center number at Delhi to shift their responsibility. Since i was helpless I have tried that number too surprisingly that number is continuosly engaged from the last 3 days ([protected]). After that as no other options left, I had to call Fine fone once again as usual they told they cannot say anything on this as they are just employees !!!. Just now i got a call from the and it was surprising to get a call from the, But the news they gave me was the shock of my life.. it will take another one month to receive the mother board.

So almost 3 monts has gone and the phone is still in the service center and my waranty is coming to an end in few months and the actual time I have used this handset is very less.

I am really cluesless now .. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else..

LCD screen is blinking some times and if we long pressed right arrow key, then LCD screen properly appeared. is there any chances of loose contact or anything else?

Myself Mohit Sharma, I purchased IMate Jama window mobile from UAE but it hang again and again and due to this problem i reset it but after that it stoped work and now start and shows imate .com with blue scren and not working. so I REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE ADVICE ME UR PROPER SERVICE CENTRE IN DELHI OR IN CHANDIGARH. so i can able to use this mobile again.

I am facing problem with Imate PDA 2K. some time the blue tooth is disconnecting from hands free and well as my car's hands free. I am can't find out new soft ware in Bahrain. I have been purchased the same from Bahrain. now the agent said that they dont have new soft ware. please advise.
