[Resolved]  Sleek Kitchen — wrong measurements, shoddy and unethical work done by roadside non carpenters introduced as sleek specialists by the authorized distributors

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

The Sleek kitchen dealer we went to, promised us that he would provide an expert civil work contractor to start the civil work and that the payment was to be given through him to the contractor. The time frame for completing the civil work of the kitchen was given as 2 to 3 weeks. Prior to start of the civil work we were asked to lock the Sleek kitchen order & an upfront amount of Rs. 10,000.00 was demanded & paid by me on 12th December 2012. On locking the Sleek kitchen order, I was asked to make a 50% advance in cash for the civil work, accordingly Rs. 80,000.00 cash was given to the Sleek dealer on 21st December 2012. Civil work started on 25th December 2012 & instead of 2 to 3 weeks, the Sleek dealer & his civil contractor completed the civil work on 19th March 2013. During the civil work, the Sleek dealer's civil contractor ensured that he kept constructing the kitchen in wrong dimensions & kept breaking what was being built & reconstructing. In this process, he also managed to break an entire wall of the kitchen & it had to be rebuilt – this entire process ensured that the Sleek dealer was able to extract more money from me.

Full 100% payment for the Sleek kitchen fittings was made by me on 19th March 2013 with an assurance from the dealer that the material will come in 1 week’s time & the kitchen would be set-up in 3 days time giving us an estimate of a total of 10 days. After 1 week, 50% of the material was delivered. The Sleek kitchen dealer blamed the Sleek company for faulty dispatch of material against his order & asked us to wait for further 10 days. Today on 15th April 2013 the material has still not come & it’s been 4 months since the Sleek kitchen dealer started work in my kitchen.

All fittings are fixed at angles, the front fascias of the pull outs have multiple holes drilled & in some places the screws have been put through & through the fascia damaging the front of the fascia. The door hinges of all wall fittings have been fixed at angles, so the doors brush against each other when opening & closing.

Sleek’s products may look good, however they use ROAD SIDE DEALERS & CARPENTERS to fix the fittings & are not bothered – they just want their money!!

My advice - DO NOT FALL FOR SANJEEV KAPOORS ENDORSMENT OF SLEEK KITCHEN – their dealers are just out to extract money out of you. If only Sanjeev Kapoor knew what product & which company he is endorsing, I really doubt if he would like to be associated with a company like Sleek & their dealer network.
