Speed Issue and Disconnection
I had purchase Tata Photon for 1200 Rs a year back and the sales person said my area had excellent connectivity. My plan was 750 ( with 3 MBPS for first 5GB and then 512 KBPS after that unlimited). For first few days, though the usage was below 5GB, speed always used to be around 150 KBPS. Sometimes the net would simply not load the page though usage was below 5GB. I had raised complaints many times, but the Engineer would come say my area has high traffic and so they would see what can be done.
After 2/3 months, the issue was not sorted and I was paying the bills regularly. Then they said that the as area has high traffic, they would not be able to guarantee the speed. Which means I had to close the connection. To close the connection I had to pay the remaining bill. However this means I lose my 1200 for the device, for 4/5 months, I am paying for 3MBPS and not even able to browse at times and still need to pay the bill. I told the call center that they should settle the payment against the 1200 I paid for the device and take the device back. They said that is not possible and I have to settle the bill.
So this complete cheating form Tata Photon part - first they say we would give you the best speed and service, after 4/5 months they can not sort out the issue and due to their speed problem I have to close the connection. So the total loss I had to bear 1200 + 4/5 months with low speed = around 2/3 K. So I defaulted on their payment and have not been using the device.
Now they said they are raising a legal complaint. Now I want to know, if I can raise a complaint against them - "Failing to fulfil the promise of good service and reclaim the amount".
