[Resolved]  Tata Sky — Delay in Installation

I ordered for a new TATA SKY connection on 21st May 2012 with a scheduled installation for 10 am on 22nd May 2012. I got NO CALL from their installation executive. I have been calling customer service ever since and four rescheduled timings have been arranged to no avail. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. The representatives have no knowledge of the issues or the solution. They blatantly lie to the customer providing them interim installation time for which they never turn up. This kind of behaviour is totally unexpected of a reputed organisation such as TATA and is a blotch on their service and reputation. I would like to recommend all fellow customers to opt for alternative DTH service as this one is definitely not worth your time.

TataSky — Neither installed and nor refund the money

Sub: Refund of Rs 5000/-, subscription no: [protected]

Dear Customer Service Manager,

I would like to inform that, I am one of your customer who had paid Rs 5000/- in August 2008 through Credit Card ...with the assurance given by your executive that, without any hurdles or follow-up, you guys shall install the dish as per the convenient locations of my choice. I am very particular for the DISH installation as I am staying in a Ground floor of a DDA Flat and all other floors belongs to others, there by the installation of DISH is possible only to the extend of the height of my floor which is a maximum of 18 FT from the ground.

Since I was knowing the fact & communicated properly before placing the order that, If the DISH is willing to install at the locations where I wanted to install, which is above 15 feet from the Ground and all the other above floors are occupied by others and I have no right to ask or install DISH at their roof.. Thereby I insisted to install the same at a particular place where that could be ideally fitted without disturbing other's area...

But unfortunate after swapping and realized/debited the money from my account, your guys have changed your stand and unwilling to install the same at the location where I asked to install...

I have spend almost two hours daily for the last two month continusely to have/find a solution for the said issue, which you can check in your system and also been recorded in my telephone, but failed miserably and finally I realized that I have been cheated by a well reputed company with a high vision and specialization in cheating the public/people...

I have finally given up & conveyed to your customer service executive to refund my money, which you were illegally collected through my credit card. As usual you shown the “DISH installation method “the same aggression you have conveyed and communicated to me that my money will not be refunded as the same is not in your company policy.

I would again request you to refund the money, which you were illegally collected by without fulfilling the commitment /promise and enjoying for the last three months …As you aware that my patience have tested innumerous times by your company and your company people thereby nothing left out in my array other than to approach the appropriate body for getting back my amount which you illegally and wrongfully collected from my account..

With this letter I would like to inform you that, unless I received my money back with in fifteen days, I shall approach the appropriate legal forum to get back my money at the cost of your expense.

This is regarding my new TATA SKY connection. When i talked to customer support executive i was told that the instalation will be done in next 4 hrs if i pay through my credit card.

I took the connection paying through credit card but its going to be 24 hrs & i have neither received the setup box nor the instalation has been done.

The customer support is worst.

I have booked a new connection for Tata Sky. When I booked the people called me and informed that if you Purchase from internet then it will take 7 days for installation but I booked by their call centre then it will take 48 hours max. So, i was fooled and I went through call centre and booked the connection. They even charged my Card but its now more than 72 hrs and I have not recieved the connection. I believe that Tata Sky cannot keep their word. Now again they have said that their engineer will call within 24hrs but I dont believe. They even supplied me with one year subscription but I am not sure if I will continue after that or even upto that.
i purchased a new LG LCD, they gave me a tatasky connection free. for that i need to make an SMS, i smsed them on 3rd of Nov. n got their reply that they will call me in next 4 hours. they didnt call me, then i called them after 5 hours. they told me that my request has been forwarded now n i ll get a call soon. From 3rd to 5th Nov. they make me fool. on 6th i again called them. them commit me to install the hardware in 24 hours... again they failled... its 9th Nov. today n they have not installed the hardware yet. and they have no satisfactory answer. i have their names with me whom i have been talking to...

Tata Sky — INSTALLATION DELAY

I have registered TATA SKY connection ([protected])on 15/11/2010 with assurance of installation on 17th November 2010 up to 11 PM.

The same was confirmed by me on 16th November 2010. But on 17th November, non of your engineer / technician visited / phoned to me, I had call your office more than 7 times, every time it takes around 20-30 minutes call. At last on 17th November 2010 installation was not completed.

During conversation Mr. Karur (Group leader) assured me that the installation will be finished on 21 November without any further delay. I wrote 2-3 e-mails to [protected]@tatasky.com regarding the same issue.

I had made approximate 15-20 calls to helpline ([protected]) but still no any reply observed from TATA Sky.

You are requested to take this issue with Tata sky.

To resolve the installation issue and strong action against wrong commitement
I am using TATA SKY from last 2 Years. I done complaint from 5th Nov i.e WO No. 1-[protected]. till now their is no progress in work. even customer care and dealer no giving response. It's a very bad experience with TATA SKY. Nobody giving response and taking my complaint seriously and they are also deducting the charges on daily basis even i am not using my connection...

i am fully agree with this complaint as i am also facing problem in Installation. My subscriber id is [protected]. When i have booked dish they promised it will be installed in 5-7 working days. I am calling tata sky people on daily basis and they are not able to send their technician at my home from last 1 month and 10 days.when i asked them about refund they directly refused it. I have paid 4270/- rupees through credit card. I am feeling like cheated.
My Tata Sky Subscriber ID is [protected]. I paid Rs. 3999 for Tata Sky +HD connection on 26th February 2011. I was promised that within 3 days Tata Sky will install the new set up box and get the HD connection activated. Today is 6th March (9 days already) and still no sign of the set up box or installation. Repeated calls to the Tata Sky Help Line have yielded a standard response "We will revert to you in 24 hours". The Help Desk has been tutored to say just that - that irritates you more. Apparently there seems to be a shortage of set up boxes; If that is the case, why did Tata Sky accept my subscription? Can someone responsible from Tata Sky revert?
Hi, I do have same problem. I have made request on March 9th and crossed 5 days, No single call/no intallation happened. Repeated calls to the Tata Sky Help Line have yielded me a standard response "We will revert to you in 24 hours". One of the worst service from TATA Sky
My Tata Sky subscriber ID is [protected]. I relocated to Mumbai recently from Hyderabad. I placed a request for the installation of the dish with customer care. I received a message with ref no: 1-[protected]. The message also said that my dish would be installed on April 24 at around 12.40 pm. I waited till the end of the day for the Tata Sky engineer to turn up, putting on hold all my other work for which I had to go outside. However, the engineer did not turn up and my dish was not installed. Before placing the request, I recharged my card with Rs 1,000. I noticed that Tata Sky had been deducting money from my account without the dish being installed. Basically, I was being charged for “not watching TV”. I made many calls that day to customer care, but no concrete action was taken. During my first call, the customer care executive assured me that my dish would be installed that day as promised. I want Tata Sky to refund my Rs 1000 now as it is unfair on their part to charge me for services I haven’t been getting. I had to even postpone my plans to go out of station because of the delay caused by the company.
Pursuant to my complaint above, Tata Sky assured me that the Rs 1000 I had put in my Tata Sky account had been refunded to my bank account on April 25. They assured me that I would get my money back within 4-6 working days. It has been 10 working days now, and I don't see the money in my account. The company's customer care, is as usual, clueless. They put me on hold for eternity and I didn't get a positive response. I would like to know when the company plans to pull up its act and refund my money. I have wasted enough hours on the phone trying to talk to customer care. In between I also noticed that they changed my package without my consent and deducted the amount from my account. But, at least on that front, the customer care executive took care of restoring my package immediately.
You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will arrange for a installer to set up your connection. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and send an installer asap.
we puchased a new tata sky connection thru credit card on internet, and it was promissed by tata sky that the person would come within 24 hours. after payment they never turned up even after the promissed period and continuouse follow up thru their helpline number. we called them more than thrice when everytime it was promissed that they will arrange a call back. but they neither called back nor the instalation done. this is cheating with customers.

Tata Sky — disturbance in the connection

Most of the channels are not working properly From a long time. Please respond.

Tata Sky — to inform about the problem in the setup box.

Before 30 days our setup box was not recieving any signals.we tried consulting a customer care many times, but there was no response from them.
