I have switched to the tata Sky from our local Cable TV operator
for obtaining world cladss service as claimed in the
advertisements. the world classs service is to be in terms of
quality as well as prompt account renewals / breakdown
maintenance.
However now the confidence in tatasky has been lost.
i had registered a complaint that my settop box was unable to
recive signal on 14 Sep 08. it was promised that within 24 hours
that is by 15th sep my defect will be rectified. Today as on 17
Sep 08 also no one has turned up to rectify the defect.
I have two senior citizens in the house for whom the only source
of enterianinment is the Television especially since they are
unable to move out of the house. In such a situation non
availability of the television even for short duration affects
their morale. In fact the tataksy connection was taken just for
them so that they have continuos availability of their
favourite channels. Since last four days, non availability of
the Television has affected them adversely. Their mnorale has
gone down. They feel that tatasky with their prompt service
could not be at fault and we are not registeriong the complaint
on time. In other words "Poor service" of Tatasky is causing
Domestic misunderstanding.
I hold tatasky solely and wholly responsible for the above
agony. It is hight time that educated customers as we shift to
better operators (especially with two other giants in the
market, Dish and Reliance).
I know this mail is going to fall on "Deaf ears" . But then I
have no other option but to be at the mercy of your Service
engineers.
I wish had better service.

I was quiet surprised to read the post above. We got tata sky DTH a few months back and unfortunately had to move house for some reason. We were initially not sure as to how we were going to move the whole setup. We called Tata Sky customer services and they made sure that the whole process was very smooth. About your comment on the rude lady on the phone, I am sure she must have had a bad day or something. Also, knowing the terrible traffic in delhi, I dont think anyone can pinpoint the exact time on which the engineer will arrive. Its important to undertsand that these engineers go on the rounds and some places may require more time. It happens for everything, phone services etc.. included. Thus, moral of the story is that a product cannot be damned just because someone had a bad day or some chap took some time on other project. I think your complaint is quiet unjustified.

I'm a new customer of tata sky (WO NO. is 1-[protected]) I'm totaly disagree with tata sky is the best DTH because your services are very poor and your service engineer is the biggest layer. your service engineer named mr. ARVIND he is not installing set up box properly & now he is not receive my phone calls. I called him at least 40-50 times but no responce if you can help me so please reply me other wise i will take any legal action against you

I have a Tata Sky Multi - Room connection for the past 3 years. For the past 30 days, the MDU connection has been acting up and saying it is unable to receive signal. Despite several calls to the Delhi Customer Service, there has been no respite.
Funny thing is each time I call back the date of engineer visit has changed and when the said date elapses with no visit, I call back the helpline to find that the complaint has been closed "as engineer has visited premises"!! Not once has an engineer come in all this time.
If you ask for a Supervisor, you are put on a long hold and then the call is disconnected!
The SMS they send giving a date of visit and a contact nmb has a number that neither gets answered, nor is the call centre aware of this number.
One executive actually expected me to go and check with other Tata Sky users if they too are experiencing such issues!
In this day & age they actually expect to survive in such a competitive market with such apalling customer service!
How does one resolve this ...I feel like taking them to court and suing them for mental harassment! Can anyone advise?

You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They may resolve your issue on call itself or send a technician if required, if you are out of warranty tech visit will be charged. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and get your set top box fixed.

Tata Sky — Extremely poor customer service
I am a TATA SKY customer at delhi and my customer ID is [protected]. I have relocated my house and have been trying to get an engineeer form their company come and reinstall my conection at my new house within the city. The company charges Rs 600 for reinstallation which they have already deducted from my account balance. secondly when I ring up to schedule an appointment for reinstallation I am constantly confronted with extremly rude representatives who doesn't seem to understand the value of time in any sense. A lady snaps back and tells call back after an hour. one gentleman fixed up a time over the phone but did not give me any reference number as a result I kept waiting for the engeneer all day (stayed away from my office) all in vain. Next day I ring up the service again and ask for an expalnation. They give none. dosen't even feel guilty about being wrong. fixes up another appointment and assures me that 9.0 am means 9.0 but in the late evening rings up and says you will have to wait between 11.0 am to 1.00PM for the engineer. I am extremely unhappy feel harassed and cheted by this kind of customer service.
